Lucille's Ratings and Reviews
Had Valentine's Day reservations at Lucille's and they didn't disappoint. Great food and I'm happy that the vegan option was available (delicious). The atomosphere was amazing with the live music and champagne. I highly recommend Lucille's and will be back.
The ambiance was nice, the server was polite, and the live band was extremely pleasant. However, the fried chicken was the worse! The batter on the chicken came apart like large Lego pieces and the texture of the chicken was very gummy, as if it were boiled instead of fried.
As always, Lucille's does not disappoint with its creative bar & dinner menu. On a busy Friday night, however, all the servers and bar staff seemed to be on the B team - inexperienced and fumbling! All were friendly and polite, but weren't quite "with it." Took too long at both the bar and our table for our orders to arrive, and took seemingly forever to get our tab. Management needs to step it up in the service department to be on par with the food & drink.
Food presentation was good. I had the shrimp and grits and my employee had the chicken fried steak. The CFS was very nicely plated and he said he really enjoyed it. The shrimp and grits was good but not unique. Service was good. I will return as I want to try other dishes and The restaurant was unique and cozy.
I met two friends at Lucille's for brunch on Saturday. This was our first time to go. The weather outside was ugly/raining but Lucille's was cozy on a dreary day. We had a carafe of bellinis, fried green tomatoes and crab cakes benedict - all were delicious! Our waitress was nice too. We'll be back!
Brunch at Lucille's left our group disappointed. To be fair, the food was good and the ambiance was perfect for a Saturday brunch. However, the service didn't leave us very impressed. One of our party members was running about 15 minutes late. Prior to her arrival, the waitress informed the other two members that they could only accommodate us for 1.5 hours. Even with the late arrival, we paid our check in about 50 minutes. Perhaps due to the comment, we felt rushed. The waitress, while pleasant, kept interrupting us every couple of minutes to see if we needed anything. It was clear we were just chatting and enjoying our meal. It definitely appeared to us they were trying to flip tables very quickly. In the end, our waitress also forgot to bring us our leftovers.
All in all, you can have a better brunch and service elsewhere.
Great southern food with a modern twist in a fun setting. The Brussels sprouts with a sunny egg on top are the best sprouts I’ve ever had. They are so delectable I thought they were cooked in bacon fat, but the delightful owner/chef Chris said he uses healthy canola oil.
Enjoyed the live music atmosphere more than the food. Fried green tomatoes were delicious. French toast with fried chicken was tasty and crab cake benedict was interesting. Seating is very close to the bar so not ideal for an intimate date night. Adult only menu, however staff will adjust for your little ones.
Lucille's really felt like a great little corner of excitement, and open to all different types of dress, occasions, and personalities. Such a fun place to eat delicious food, which was rich and flavorful without feeling too heavy or decadent. Can't wait to return!
Lucille’s combines an attractive space with a very friendly staff and excellent Southern fare. Beginning with their out of this world dinner rolls, which are an appetizer unto themselves, the Fried Green Tomatoes, and Shrimp and Grits all with added and updated takes on these Southern classics, my meal and several others I’ve had have all been wonderful. The entire team makes you feel welcome and comfortable. No matter the occasion Lucille’s is a no-fail excellent choice.
This was our first visit and for the most part it was great. There was an issue with the fried green tomatoes actually being fried Ted tomatoes but the Mgr resolved by removing item from our bill. Our server was awesome. The food was prepared quickly and served while still hot. The other issue involved being seated where people constantly passed to go the the restrooms - with narrow space for them to walk. I think that customers with reservations should have better seating.
I recently read reviews on this gem and decided for my 40th birthday why not try it. It was worth going to it. I loved the view the ambiance the attention to detail and the service from our server Gary. It was an awesome time and was a very unique place. We will definitely be going back again.
Went to celebrate my mother's birthday. There seemed to be live music playing as we walked up, but it wasn't inside and we never found the source (as different music was playing on the speakers inside). The portions were huge, and the flavor was great! definitely a cool place for a southern brunch, lunch or anything in between (the brunch cocktails were tasty as well)
The food, service and ambience were fantastic and made my mother’s birthday brunch so memorable. Having the chef and owner present was also a real treat and seeing the kitchen in action bringing out beautiful plated dishes made our experience so memorable. Everything we ordered was perfection. Thank you Lucille’s!!
Appetizers were good. Service was excellent. Whole fried snapper was not appetizing at all. The entres needed seasoning. There was no seasoning in the macaroni... a little fresh ground pepper would have been good. The collard greens were overlooked. Collards should be lightly sautéed in a little olive oil...not boiled in water. They were out ofthe oxtails.
...will give lucilles again maybe for brunch or appetizers only ..
