It as good day upstairs the ban was good but loud down stairs
I Love Lucilles!! The food was Spectacular. Love the fried green tomatoes and the lobster Benedict!!
Our meal was delicious. Our waiter was wonderful. He even served us an extra appetizer on the house because the fried green tomatoes were the house specialty- they were out of this world! Yum! I had the grits and shrimp- which were good but not extraordinary- I should have ventured out a bit- next time I will order the yard bird. My husband ordered the fish - which tonight was the mahi mahi it was delicious! Over. All our meal was wonderful and our server was thoughtful and really took care of us. Our only disappointment was the loud atmospheres and our cramped table. We were practically wedged between two other tiny tables for two. We noted that we were celebrating our 18th anniversary when we made the reservation- was really hoping for something a little more secluded. Over all, we had a really good experience. We would like to come back for the brunch one day.
Food and service was good as it always is when we visit Lucille's. Had to send the martinis back due to a huge overload of vermouth.......apparently "very dry" meant something different to the bartender. The second martinis came out a little dirty, which we did not call for, but they were tolerable so we drink them regardless.
Brunch and jazz is a classic. Always a great place to catch up with friends. The mimosa carafe is a must.
Seated quickly, good service and food. My only complaint is that it's much too loud. Unable to have a conversation with others at our table.
Everything for me was just Okay. I'd planned to visit while in Houston but I may have put too much on this visit and it wasn't what is expected. I was disappointed that the green bean bundle wasn't specifically described as wrapped in bacon. I don't eat meat and my server who's name was not remembered by either of us was so nonchalant about it. But I sincerely thought I'd mentioned that I didn't eat meat when I ordered drinks. And I didn't feel the salad was remade but just had the bacon removed then returned.
We were excited to try Lucille’s while visiting the museum district. It was very nice. Great wine menu as well as cocktails. We were there for Saturday brunch and ordered the fried chicken with sweet potato waffles. Outstanding!! Live music was an added treat. Parking was easy. Highly recommend.
Great food and environment. Food seasoned perfectly.
The food was divine and the staff was helpful. Loved the complementary valet.
Love Lucilles & can’t wait to go back!!
Have been to Lucille’s several times and never disappointed; had lamb neck pasta and very tasty. Also recommend fried oyster BLT and Yardbird. Chili biscuits and fried green tomatoes yummy
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere.
Awesome down home southern food and excellent service!!!
Jordan was amazing. Manager turned A/C down when suggested that it was too cold to enjoy food. Food was tasty!
I really enjoy lucille's. It is a friendly and quiet place for a family-like environment with really delicious food.
Jordan did a fantastic job serving us. Entrees (shrimp and grits) cocktails (craft mimosas) were fantastic as well. We enjoyed the ambiance atmosphere with great soothing live jazz band. We shall return!
I met a few friends for a late dinner! The food, service and ambiance were amazing! I’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed! The pork and beans was awesome! Our waiter, Josh, is the best! I’ll be back again!
Both the food and service were great ! I enjoyed the live band and mimosas. I’m
Looking forward to going back.
Everything was amazing, the food, atmosphere, band, waitress and the people.
Sat outside with the kids. Food was excellent & I didn’t have to worry that we were distracting other. Nice treat. Great experience!
Best Friend Green Tomatoes you can get in Houston! I love taking my friends here. I can't get enough.
I dislike negative reviews but this needs to be pointed out. We had a 2:00 PM lunch reservation so this may have contributed to the slow service at the end of the meal. The food was outstanding as always and the initial service was very prompt and the food was delivered very quickly. After the normal follow-up to refill water glasses, the wheels fell off. We waited at least 15 minutes after fully completing our lunch and our server was no where to be seen. Two other staff seemed to be sure to avoid eye contact with us with no interest in offering assistance. Finally, after walking around the restaurant looking for our server, I asked another server if he or someone could please get our bill. To his credit he followed up right away and completed payment for our bill. We left, never again being approached by our server, who was busy with another table. We will return but hopefully with more attentive service.
Good was great, drinks were decent. Our waiter, Frank, was awesome. Attentive and provided helpful commentary regarding menu items.
From the music to the food, Lucille's exceeded my expectations. Jazz music really set the upbeat swinging tone for my group brunch-- great group. The mimosas were great and I loved the size and offerings on the menu! So original and exquisite. Looking forward to coming here again.
Food was amaze balls!!! Service a little slow to start. But super friendly and helpful!! Extremely noisy!! But it was a Saturday Jazz brunch!!!
I visited this restaurant for the first time to support Black-Owned Businesses. I heard nothing but good things about the restaurant in general. Upon leaving I found out that my car was damaged in a parking lot that they endorse this lot for their customers to park in. Someone broke both of my windows in my Luxury car that has cost me $2034 to repairs. In my professional opinion endorsing a parking lot that you are aware that is not being maintained properly shows negligence on the part of both parties.
Dine there at your own risk! Risk of having to pay for more than just a meal but possibly repairs as well.
We took our friends to Lucille's and had a wonderful lunch to discuss our travels.
Great atmosphere and a good place to go to listen to live music. It’s worth trying again to try more dishes.
Visited for the first time on Father’s Day 2019..The food came out extremely quick. I understand limiting time slots but I think an hour was not enough time to savor the food. A 2 hour minimum would have been better. We ordered and the food was on our table in 5 min.. wasn’t enough time to enjoy the experience..
Great brunch. The food was nicely prepared; loved the music!
I had heard so many good things about this Restaurant decided to go for Father’s Day brunch. I had made the reservation a month in advance. While walking to our table by the restroom the hostess informed us that we had one hour eat! Wow. I have been to many finer restaurants for Valentines, Mothers Day, etc. I have never ever been on a time clock. I can under if we didn’t have a reservation but that was not the case. Food was good not over the top. Music was too loud couldn’t even hear our conversations. Will not return.
Great ambience, food was served quickly. We enjoyed the food, although the grits in the shrimp and grits could use more flavor.
Lucille’s was delightful. Easy, mostly shady was from Hotel ZaZa. Warmly greeted, friendly service. Wonderful food and enjoyable wine selection. The whole crowd appeared quite comfortable and conversational. Look forward to taking friends next time.
Lucille's is one of our favorite places to dine. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere have always been great!
We loved Lucille’s! Everything was perfect. Couldn’t be better. Try that pie! <3
Unfortunately a large party meant that we were largely ignored but the food is delicious and everyone was nice.
Had late lunch with friends at Lucille's recently; drinks, chili biscuits, entrees, and service exceptional!!!!! Fried chicken best ever, oyster BLT and fried oysters exceptional. Portion size very adequate. A gem in museum district
