Lucille is about gathering, celebrating, treating each other and ourselves well. We welcome you to come in, relax, have fun, eat and drink well, and let your senses do the rest.
For dinner service on Friday and Saturday nights and for Saturday and Sunday Brunch services, we take reservations only for parties of 6 or more. Please join us as a walk-in party if your group has fewer than 6 guests.
Most of our tables are on our second floor. If stairs are a challenge for anyone in your group, please let us know in advance so that we can accommodate you on our first floor. For parties larger than 8, you may be seated at two separate tables next to each other.
Friday: 12pm - 2am
Saturday & Sunday: 9am - 2am
Great food and nice place. I loved the festive Christmas decorations.
So festive at Christmas time. We had a great gathering amongst old friends in a great atmosphere.
Everything was good about the food and the ambience at dinner, however, our server was a little cold. Not the friendliest. They ran out of birthday dessert (which I was really looking forward to because it was my birthday after all) and instead the server aggressively put a shot down in front of me and said “sorry we’re out of dessert”
Took advantage of a date night special. Great value, delicious food, excellent service. Highly recommend.
Such a great spot and amazing food!!!
Everything was top notch. It's just that the steel pan pizza had very little cheese and was mostly dough and sauce. It also cooled off and hardened rather quickly.
Great food and atmosphere.
Visited my children at UW Madison and was looking for a fun, funky spot that would be different than dining at home. Lucille's fit the bill! Casual, but great pizza, wine was good and not too pricey, and they could accommodate a group of 8 in a comfy booth, which made conversation easy. I highly recommend.
Great time! On the more expensive side, but it was fun!
Always good, great service and excellent beer list.
Great bar and restaurant in Madison. Terrific location near the State Capitol. The space is unique - it’s an awkward shape but when they designed the restaurant they maximized the floor space without making it feel cramped. They used the history of the building so well and at the same time making the place feel fresh. We had tacos and pizza - everything was well made with great ingredients. Service was solid. If I were nitpicking, I’d say the beer list should have more local non-IPA options, but hey - great job nonetheless.
Nice vibe, good food, and great service. Worthwhile experience for a traveler.
This was my second visit. Both times, service is extremely slow. It takes almost an hour after you order to get your food. And it is very noisy.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and were delighted to find we had a special table reserved just for us on the second floor overlooking the Capitol. Service was wonderful and the food was delicious as always. It was truly a special night!
The pizzas are great and the Detroit-style pizza is not something you'll find anywhere else. Excellent beer list.
Incredibly slow service and not the most attentive waiter but the food is great.
Great food and service. It is loud in there when the tables are filled. Hard to hear conversations with dining companions.
The Detroit-style pizza was excellent. The only hiccup was that our server split our bill but put both of them on the same credit card, left them without a pen and disappeared. Else, we were very happy with the food and atmosphere and will be back.
Awesome experience and food! They were well prepared for our kid’s peanut allergy, and also provided uncooked pizza dough for our 4 year old to play with. Both the wood fired pizza and the steel pan pizza were delicious.
We had a great time. Everyone enjoyed the food that was ordered, and we found
the cocktails delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful in recommending
selections. It's not a bargain-priced meal, but not an unreasonable one either. Our
only problem was the noise level. We had dinner on a Monday evening on the upper
level, and it was very difficult to hear what anyone on the other side of the table was
saying. We would definitely recommend it to friends for a fun get-together, though!
Great pizza and after “mess up” great recovery. We ordered two pizzas and one came out perfect while the other was completely delivered wrong. The server saw it right away, apologized and put in a correct replacement ASAP. it took a few extra minutes but all was perfect. Could not ask for more!
Great atmosphere and food! Loved the pizza and drinks.
We celebrated my birthday here and the food and drinks were amazing! Our server was pretty slow and seemed to be hanging out over with other servers, but overall it was a good night. One other thing to note was the server did not let us know about the gratuity being added to the bill. It would've been nice as a courtesy to let us know.
After being seated, there must have been a mixup because we were left unattended for 10 minutes or so. It wasn’t the end of the world, but a host came over to apologize and offered us a platter of their cheese curds on the house which were delicious and definitely left a positive impression after an honest mistake. Great place to go with a group of friends!
Drink pours deep at bar, which was good. But pizza, tacos just okay.
Food was fine, along with good location and great historic building.
However, there was a mouse on the floor next to our table throughout the meal.
I love going for date night on Wednesdays. Great Cava and pizza! Sad they got rid of the plantains though :(
We were looking forward to having a good steel-pan pizza with friends who had not dined at Lucille. The ambiance was fun and energetic, service was prompt and pleasant, and our cocktails were fine. Because we had a great time being with our friends, the poorly presented and horribly made pizza was not our focus. But nonetheless, I was really disappointed in the pizza. It did not come in the steel pan as it did last time, and the crust was measly and lacked in flavor. the crust was more like a loaf of bread, topped with a thin layer of tomato sauce with barely any meat topping (sausage fest?). Maybe it was a fluke...
This was a fun place to dress up (or not!), try amazing food and fabulous drinks, enjoy great company. The service was top-notch, and the price didn't break the bank.
Just basically disappointed. First we were seated at what would have been a beautiful table in later evening. Instead we had direct sunlight in our eyes and had a hard time reading the menu. We were reseated at another table with the same problem. The third time was the charm.
The Quinoa Bowl was a half serving, the pizza okay, and the desert pretty good.
We enjoyed Lucille our first visit. This one was a disappointment.
Latin brunch was so good! Staff was very helpful for our big group and great with our kids. The food was delicious! Try the pancakes!
The food was really yummy. The cheese curds were delicious! We came from Milwaukee for my husbands birthday- I did make the comment on the reservation that it was a birthday occasion in hopes something would be done to celebrate but it wasn’t acknowledged at all. Maybe the restaurant didn’t get my notes regarding the reservation. Other than that I would go back for the food and ambience.
Online reservation process was easy. Only problem was staff was planning on seating us upstairs and one of the guest could not climb stairs (unkown to me at time of reservation). They accommodated us after a wait. Good food, positive staff, and the "Painkiller" is a must try. Will return.
Outstanding food, outstanding service! We come here every time we are in Madison!
The Lucille restaurant was so noisy that it was impossible to talk and we left after 15 minutes because we could not have a conversation with our friends. If we had only wanted to listen to the music, it would have been fine but we went there for a friends get together
Food was excellent. Had a second floor table looking out over a balcony toward the Capitol...great evening. very airy and relaxing. Service was very good.
Great view and delicious food!
It was not bad at all. But the order took for a long time to come through. But my party was for eight people. One of the meal was not the correct quantity. The other orders was taking a long time. The pizza was costing around $12 that was in the pricey end IMO for its size.
Carson provided excellent service. He checked in often and made sure we had a great experience. The food was fantastic. Carson even brought a complimentary baked cookie in honor of our anniversary.
