   We always enjoy Lucille. However this evening, there was some confusion about who would be serving our table and we waited 15+ minutes before anyone came our way. We believe it had something to do with new training. After that snafu, Lucille was as enjoyable as always.

   Lucille appears to have lost its way. The atmosphere is still good. Lots of people and activity make it a bubbly place to be. But the food quality and values certainly are not there anymore. An arugula salad with wilted greens and past their prime beets, hastily thrown together, was marginally edible. The pizza was good. But it certainly was not special. The cheese curds were the bright spot in the meal. Perhaps they have become popular enough that they no longer need to pay attention to food quality. There are plenty of cool places to go in Madison and Lucille seems like it’s become tired.

   Went as a group of six here for the first time for dinner before a show for a friend's birthday. We were a bit early, but enjoyed a drink in the lower lounge while we waiting for our reservation time. Our table was ready quickly and were seated. The staff were friendly, our server was awesome, food was excellent and prices weren't too crazy. Overall a very positive experience and will most definitely be visiting Lucille's again.

   Service was so-so. We waited a while to put drink orders in, and after plates were cleared we waited a bit before the check was dropped off. They did mess up our pizza, but made it right and we received a comped dessert for the additional wait. Cocktails, pizza, and dessert were all amazing. The food was worth the waiting, but greater attention to service could be better.

    The food was great, but the service was terrible. We were seated for 18 minutes before our server greeted us and took our drink order. After she took our order she didn’t come back at all to check on us or get us refills. We were very disappointed in the service here.

    Great food and fun and energetic ambience ! It turned into a nightclub at about 9:00-9:30 mid dinner, however. Lights off and booming music ended our ability to hear each other. Wish we knew a head of time!

    Great food and service. Only complaint is the music was loud making it a challenge to talk to everyone in our party of 6. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable meal.

    I really like this place! The food is great and so is the atmosphere! I’m not sure if they were understaffed due to prom but we got our drinks after our food and the server never brought the birthday dessert. Hoping it was just a one time thing.

    went to see the fashion show. the show was lively and creative and i even got to walk the runway!! the ambiance was amazing, food (cheese curds, empanadas, and guac) was spectacular, and the service was awesome (thank you maeryn). 100% will come again !!!

    The pizza was amazing. Wine pour seemed alittle less than normal, but house red was very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant and will return in the future. The view of the Capitol was great!

    A bit disappointed with the dinner salad. Very small portion with few ingredients for $9! Enjoyed my pizza, but crust was too thick and too much of it. We returned hoping to repeat a good experience. This time left me a bit disappointed. I hoped for better.

    I love to enjoy Lucille when I am in town visiting my college son. We were fortunate to get in on a Friday night and it was very energetic and busy! Tried the Umani pizza and added sausage - it was delicious. Food and drinks came quickly and the service was perfect. It was a little loud - so those who are needed a quiet venue, you might want to try earlier in the evening. Highly recommend a visit to Lucille!

    Love this place! Food and service is always the best. Rated noise level a little lower when they had someone playing live downstairs which made it hard for conversation, but didn’t start til we were almost ready to leave.

    Had a great time at Lucille, great beers (several from Young Blood), yummy pizza (our family liked wood fired crust more than the pan), delicious plantain empanadas, and a really unique atmosphere. Not an especially kid-friendly place but our server was fantastic with them and we had a great time. We went all out, appetizers, drinks, pizzas, and dessert and the bill tip and tax included came to $150 for four of us. We’ll be back for sure but since it’s a little pricier it might be a while =)

    This place is great for sharing a pizza with others! Their unique steel pan pizzas are delicious, filling, and appropriately priced. I would recommend this place to anyone.

    We came for date night excited to share a wood fire pizza, and left horribly traumatized (food wise). The starters were good, a simple enough guacamole sprinkled with goat cheese and chips in the side. The main entree however was the stuff of nightmares. We were attracted to its variety of ingredients, assuming some chef with a palate had tasted it an approved it. Squash puree, goat cheese, prosciutto, arugula, onions and cranberry. Bland, unseasoned squash doesn't compliment any of those ingredients, there was also a strong pickled, vinegar taste which overwhelmed all and made it so hard to eat. The prosciutto was bad an overcooked, with a strong rancid fat taste. This thing was disgusting to the extreme, so much that I needed to order a regular Margherita pizza. I'll give them that the crust was tasty, savory and well cooked, but the combination of flavors was simply unharmonic, bad. The Margherita which was supposed to be a redeemer was topped with can tomato sauce, which made it unbearable to taste. And advertised with parmesan on top, it was barely sprinkled from a distance. The dessert, apple crisp, came with the spongiest of apples which made it a sad affair. We left disappointed, as we came hoping for a special night but left with a bad taste. The wine was actually pretty good.

    It was our 2nd time coming here. 1st time was with a gift card, that we received for a Christmas gift that was never activated. They reissued an activated card and promised they would make our next experience there much better than the 1st. However, we ordered nachos and the cheese was not melted and cold and it took 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks. Pizza was great as always. Not the great experience we were promised, which is unfortunate.
