   We had a lovely meal On our third visit to Lucianos but when we got there they said they didn't have our booking despite me receiving numerous emails confirming it luckley they managed to squeeze us in.

   We come everytime we go to the theatre and have never been disappointed yet. Recommended a friend and she loves it too!

   We had a lovely pre theatre night with kids and as always fed in plenty of time and food and prices very good. This is regular routine now when going to theatre. Many thanks again. Paula binks x

   having been a regular here 15 years ago i was very disappointed at its decline. Food was average at best and the member of staff actually disagreed with me having brought the wrong sweet. It will be longer than 15 years before I return

   I love their pre-theatre meals, so I keep coming back. I've never have a poor meal or a bad experience. Food and service is always excellent. Thank you.

   Myself and my wife had a meal here before going onto the theatre. The service was first class and the food was magnificent it’s a lovely place to sit it’s cosy romantic atmospheric but you don’t feel cramped and you certainly don’t feel rushed I would recommend this restaurant to everyone

   Reception Arrived exactly on time for 6pm booking but waited 10 minutes to be seated Receptionist asked if we required drinks, which we did and informed her we were also ready to order our meal.- she stated she was unable to take menu orders. Waited another 10 minutes before our order was taken for both starter and main course. It quickly became apparent that one waiter for 20 tables was going to cause delay problems. Whilst waiting for the starter we noticed that the restaurant was cold with a few free standing vertical electric fan heaters generating very little heat unless you were seated immediately adjacent to one - which i was not and subsequently donned my outer coat to keep warm. Following the serving of our starter I reminded the waiter on two occasions that I was concerned at the delay in serving our main course as we were attend the local Theatre at 7.20pm. He assured me the meal was on its way, however by 7pm - one hour after our arrival there was no sign of our main course. I informed both the waiter and their receptionist that we were not prepared to wait any longer- I paid for the soft drinks and starter meal and left the restaurant. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of service provided and will certainly not be returning to Lucianos at Sunderland again. It is worthy of note that we were not the first customers to have a disappointing experience at Lucianos as endorsed on Trip Advisor!!

   Booked for the first time as a pre theatre meal for family and friends. Staff were friendly and efficient. Shown to our table , and drinks order taken within a few minutes. Ordered food which was served without fuss and it was hot and delicious . Each couple were able to pay bills at table with card reader which made the end of our dining experience hassle free. Had plenty of time to get to theatre. Thank you Luciano's
