Very good food.
Would recommend a try if you enjoy a good Italian meal.
went Saturday night during restaurant week. food was great, however, service slow. also encountered rude staff.
Restaurant special was good; fair pricing, good service, very good zepoles
Tried this restaurant during the Long Island restaurant week. Menu was simple and offering enough choices so all could find something they liked. Quantity of food served was perfect considering that the restaurant week menu offers 3 courses. Restaurant claims to serve Italian food. As some of us were Italians (from Italy, not italo-American), we were very skeptical of that claim... but we got surprisingly well surprised. Cuisine is or very close to authentic Italian. The ambiance is very nice. Major plus point for us was how quiet was the dining room... no need to scream to talk with your fellow dinners and no loud music/band playing. Will come back just because of that !!!
My husband and I went out tonight and we were very pleased with our decision to go to Luciana’s. Luciana’s is a place where hospitality is still held in high regard. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and our service. We were spoiled with the most amazing dessert on the house to top off the night. (A warm zeppoli filled with cannoli cream with a drizzle of raspberry paired with a dessert wine). We will be back again :)
Went out tonight with some of my friends and we had an great experience. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Colon was so nice and went out of his way to provide us a terrific dining experience. The penne alla vodka was so good! I will definitely go back. Thank you so much!!
Do you know how much I WANT to love this restaurant? It is close to home and the people are so nice. It is a great homey personal feel with real good service. That aside, however, this is the third time we have eaten here and the food is just not great. My shrimp were so overcooked that it was actually difficult to eat them. The portion sizes are also not very big. They are more lunch sized portions. Even the bread (what there was of it) was sub par with one knot being so hot I could barely touch it and the other ice cold (obviously they were microwaved). I keep going back in the hopes that it will improve but I think this was the last time. I really, really want it to be better.
My second visit to this neighborhood gem, had the spinach salad, excellent and enough to share. Pasta Fagioli is fantastic. My friend had the Veal Marsala which he raved about. Had a few glasses of wine, I the Chianti which was excellent, my Australian friend had a Shiraz from a wine region he was not familiar with, after several glasses and photos of the bottle he is a huge fan. Owners are fantastic people who are there to not only open a restaurant they want to be part of the community something you rarely see nowadays. So glad they decided to open near me although I would travel if need be to frequent this promising new comer to the community. Bravo!
Enjoyed our dinner very much , staff was extremely gracious. It's our new go to restaurant
New neighborhood place to go. Ample parking, nice interior very good food. Service was excellent then again it was the owner. Garlic bread and a good quality olive oil were served, very nice. Both started with spinach salad, good not great. Wife had pasta fagioli excellent, I had veal alla sicily, very tasty and a good portion. Veal was accompanied by linguine garlic and oil, bit of a up charge buy worth it. Had a martini and a glass of wine with the meal. Dessert was the NY cheesecake good definitely store bought but good. Overall excellent experience will go back.
This was our first time at Luciana's Ristorante, and we had a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding. From the house salad and baked clams, to the eggplant rollatini and pasta campagna, to the Italian cheese cake and coffee, our meal was five stars. Friendly, helpful waitstaff. Had a nice chat with the owner when he stopped by our table. He clearly takes great pride in the quality of the ingredients he uses, and is aiming for this new restaurant to be the top Italian restaurant in the area. We are definitely looking forward to our next meal at Luciana's.
