Luce Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Fabulous New Years Eve dinner. My wife and I are not big on New Years Eve partying, so wanted a standard fine dining experience. The martini at the bar was exquisite, the staff professional and friendly. My dinner veal chop was one of the best I have ever had. If we lived in the area this would be our regular go to restaurant. Well done!
Great restaurant for a special occasion or fancy night out. Service at the bar was a little slow and my lobster bisque was disappointing, but my gnocchi was wonderful and everyone was gracious and attuned to making our night the best it could be. We will be back.
My husband and I used to live uptown and would go to Luce at least once a week. Now that we have moved and have a daughter, it’s harder to get out. But three of the five nights out we’ve had since she was born have been at Luce! The welcome we get when we walk in the door makes the drive into uptown completely worth it. The staff is incredible and caring. We absolutely LOVE it there.
We were a party of nine with a reservation and they squeezed us into a table which would have been comfortable for six. The waiter had zero personality. My Manhattan must have been made with a half of a shot and they missed with the Vermuth. They were out of the wine that we ordered from the wine list. Although we have dined here before as a family, we will not in the future.
When we first arrive seem like nobody wanted to serve us because we were a young couple kind of felt like we were judged for it which i completely did not appreciate I was on a date and that was embarrassing, funny thing was my check was $105 and still left a $25 tip, don’t judge a book by its cover Im 22 years old and run my own business so I can afford to go where I want without a need to have to “skip a tab”. Our server was great though forgot his name. But In other words was a nice place and great food
Our dinner at Luce was amazing and we were very impressed with the seasonal and traditional cuisine, ambience, and service. We had a large group of friends and enjoyed many of the sumptuous appetizers-lightly fried calamari with shaved zucchini, burrata, eggplant Parmesan stack, and prosciutto & asparagus along with many wonderful Italian wines from their diverse list. The veal chop, lasagna, and seasonal scallop special with farro and butternut squash were divine! Even days later, we are still talking about what a wonderful gem Luce is. You must go and experience it for yourself!
Dinner was outstanding. Taste, presentation, service all equally superb. Parking ticket checked was a great plus! Wait staff very attentive but not over-bearing. I rated the noise level as "energetic" only because the long table behind us had a rather loud party of 12-15 people. Once they left, the ambience returned to "nice". Prices were very reasonable as well.
We visited Luce to celebrate my fiance's birthday knowing the food was delicious, the setting cozy, and they offered gluten free pasta options. Our waiter went above and beyond; at the end of our dinner, he surprised us with a creme brulee and candle plus two glasses of champagne. It took us by complete surprise. We've always recommended Luce in the past but even more so now.
Enjoyed dinner elfresco before a show. Perfect evening weather wise. See were waited on quickly for our drinks. Have specials in addition to their main menu. Food was delicious and the service was right on point. Knew when we needed more drinks and cleaned away dishes without interruption to our conversation. This makes my third visit to Luce and I continue to be impressed!
