Dependable neighborhood place that's worth going out of the way for. Attention to detail, freshness, flavor is obvious. Fresh pasta was chewy and perfect, with a delicious combination of duck and squash. Tables are close together, so your experience is affected by your neighbors; ours were pretty loud, but the food was so good we didn't mind.
Great service, ambiance and flavors. Wishing there was a broader selection of meatless / vegetable options. One of of favorite go-to choices, especially with guests.
Lucca is the best restaurant we can easily walk to, which is a big plus (and judging from the crowd waiting when we left, many others feel this wary, too). The food is good, reasonably priced, the servers attentive to our needs, and it is fun eating there and watching the folks gathered at the bar.
Awesome. Food was great and service even better!!
Very nice selection of food, excellent taste and wonderful drinks too.
The food was delicious, the ambiance perfect but our server was subpar. She was dismissive bordering on rude, never checked in with us to see if we needed anything and brought the wrong entree. When she brought the wrong entree and we corrected her, very politely, she said that wasn’t what she heard. She did try to make up for it at the end of the meal but there was a lot to make up for.
Delicious food and excellent wine list!
Amazing service and very good food and drinks.
Cheers to Lucca.
Great place to take someone. Excellent staff, food and drinks great.would recommend highly
2nd visit. Delicious food. Service exemplary. 'Way too noisy which detracts from enjoying the food.
Loved the whole experience! Never disappointed. Fabulous service, food and friendly, comfortable informality without loss of quality all around! Love you guys!
Lucca is a neighborhood favorite that never fails to satisfy and delight.
Server was great. Erica. Wine was food. Brunello. My favorite. Clams were in this incredible spicy sauce that was outstanding. Much better than anything I’ve tasted especially in the tourist town i live in. The octopus was a little disappointing. Chewy and lacked some flavor.
Food was very good, excellent happy hour. A true neighborhood gem
We’d only eaten here for lunch before, which was quite good. Dinner was even better ... excellent. The pork was cooked to a sublime tenderness. We brought our own wine, but I recall from the earlier luncheon that Lucas’s wine offerings were interesting. We chose then an excellent Slovenian white at a very reasonable price.
We eat there often and would be there more often if it were not so noisy. We put up with nosie because the food and service are so wonderful.
I love their pizza and sorbetto.
Great food I'm a little too noisy
Dinner was delicious. Our wait staff was knowledgeable about the wine and he gave us plenty of time between the appetizers and bringing our dinner. We had the charcuterie salami board with the fresh mozzarella cheese, Wow! The homemade Tagliatelle pasta dish with the pork bolognese sauce was heavenly. I would highly recommend this lovely little restaurant.
Great location, nice ambience, great service with yummy food. What else to say?
I have always had a good experience here. This last time however, the entrees were both off. The pork shoulder tasted like a salt like and the tagliatelle didn’t taste like anything. Service was great, as always. Sad about the food though
Classic! This is a go-to restaurant when you want a great meal out- consistently!
We were looking for a fun place to go eat some good food, and that’s what we found. It was a fun way to spend my birthday, and the food was great!
Wonderful service and food - as always.
the food was good, but the selection was not. You should definitely include far more options for vegans. Offer your dishes with vegan options: meat substitutes, (including mushrooms) for meat, cheese substitutes for cheeses, including with pizzas. No need to depart from classical Italian dishes, just make the substitutions of ingredients that render them vegan. Many other restaurants are doing just that. I wish you would, we would come there far more often.
Their food is excellent most of the time. Great place for entertaining friends or family. Neighborhood place, so go later in the evening if you don't don't like occasional noise from children.
Great server good food but very noisy
Every menu that I ordered came out very salty. It was too salty that my friends and I could only finish half of the plates. Bread that came out with Seafood Brodetto was burnt, and we had to request for a new one. Although the ambiance of the restaurant was good, I was highly disappointed by the food that Lucca presented. I do not have intentions for a revisit.
Great place love the food
We really like Lucca. We have been there a couple times as it's walking distance from the house, and feel lucky to have such a great spot in the neighborhood. The pastas are great, as are all the pizzas.
The food was excellent and the service was as well. We will definitely go back again!
The pork was just not good; 3 scallops for $26?
Great neighborhood bistro. You can dine on some fabulous dishes or just get a pizza and salad.
New Year’s Eve. Had a great time and very good service. Didn’t like the table we had at first but were moved and felt much better. Experience was definitely above average and nothing negative to say but didn’t quite wow me either . Just a nice solid experience
New Years Eve dinner was wonderful. Fixed price meal was well-conceived and delicious.
Great meal, great service, great value! We couldn't ask for a better way to ring out 2019. Everything was fantastic!
We have been going for dinner about once a quarter since they opened. We love it.
Yes, I would recommend Lucca. Have eaten lunch there for years, but first time dinner. I would wish a little longer menu and a few more choices. The pannacotta with pomegranet seeds and candied pistachios didn't really work because the pistachios made one think you were crunching seeds. But the flavor was delightful.
We visited Lucca to celebrate a 57th and a 90th birthday. As we were celebrating, I was taking photos at our table. Our waiter took a few photos for us which was nice; however, a few minutes later, he came over and insisted that I quit taking photos because it was disturbing their regular customers. I was not taking photos of any other patrons nor was I wandering around the restaurant. As the meal progressed, our waiter got progressively less attentive to our table. Finally, the food was good but it did not hold up to the standard we have come to expect when we visit. I would no longer recommend Lucca for special occasions or celebrations.
One of our favorite spots for a special dinner in a welcoming atmosphere. We have always been happy with our servers' suggestions.
