Lucca Kitchen & Cocktails
Was looking for some place new that would take a reservation. We were pleasantly surprised to discover Lucca Kitchen! It food was AMAZING (there were 4 of us, we had Steak, Pasta with Vegan Meatballs, Pizza and Salmon - All were OUTSTANDING!), our Server was the BOMB and we enjoyed a great evening! We will be back again!
This restaurant was a new discovery for us and it did not disappoint. We sat outside on a warm early fall evening and unlike at some places, the servers were attentive and did not "forget about us" outside. We would come back again.
Was a little bright and music was more bar than restaurant music. But the menu had some good variety. Fresh salads and really good salmon.
Not excited to find out they had a service fee for using a credit card. Normally the restaurant or the merchant for the terminal eats the transaction fee but they don’t anymore so it was trickled down to the consumer. Terrible to find out they can’t absorb a small fee after we spent 100 dollars at their establishment. Food was good but not worth the price. Will not return
Attentive service and interesting menu for brunch. Food was well prepared, enormous portions and really delicious.
It was our servers second shift and she was outstanding! Highly recommend
Outstanding service and the food was incredible. Definitely a must go to!
Friendly staff, hands on owner, good food at a great price - what’s not to like!
This place is an undiscovered gem. The food was excellent. The menu terrific. We will be back!
Sweetest server ever who was working unbelievably hard due to short staff. Food delicious and drinks amazing. Food took a long time but it was to be expected. The people who dropped off both our appetizer and food (not our server) put it down so fast and booked each time. We didn't have plates or silverware. lol so I would just recommend that the people just check to see. That's all really!
Brittany was a friendly & informative server. Very friendly. Food was delicious! I will be back.
We had a wonderful experience at Lucca's. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent. I will definitely return.
Somehow this restaurant didn’t come close to matching its many good reviews. Ambiance was non existent. Outdoor seating is four tables on a busy street. We couldn’t hear each other. And the food was really barely edible. Had grilled shrimp on asparagus mushroom risotto special. Was literally tasteless. Husband left half his personal pizza.
Great food, phenomenal service. We will absolute make this one of our regular date night spots!
The staff was great and made our wedding anniversary extra special with complimentary champagne!
Excellent service and food. Our salmon arrived a little too cold but the excellent quality made up for that.
We celebrated our friends birthday and treated them to what was a lovely meal. We sat outside and it was a nice warm evening. Service was great! Drinks good but a bit pricey for us. Otherwise food delicious and we will definitely plan to return again.
We loved everything about Lucca. The food was incredible & everyone was friendly. We’ll be back again for sure!
Somewhat small place but comfy and nice. Service was fantastic. The 2 dinner items we had- eggplant role thingy and a white style pizza were both delicious. Also a comprehensive bourbon collection. We ate early so not real busy when we arrived but picked up a lot as evening progressed. Enjoyed and will be back.
Ok this is not going to be good. What kind of Italian restaurant doesn't serve BREAD?!! That was first. Ceasars pizza serves bread!! Give me spaghetti, then Literally NOTHING else!! A small side salad? NOPE! I don't get it. Charge more money but offer bread and side salad. It just wasn't good enough for nothing else. I feel bad because I wanted it to be good/great. It was a birthday celebration... Nothing!! Offer something. I get that we are in a pandemic. I really do. But if you can't offer ANYTHING, something is wrong. I gave a 20% tip so I feel ok with this review.
Heard great things about this place so we had to try for a birthday dinner. We were highly disappointed from the 4 waitresses we had, to waiting for our drinks for 20 minutes, to the food tasting like it had been microwaved, and the pizza oven being broken. The place was empty and it still took forever. The $$ we paid was not worth the food or service we received.
It was just perfect.food was amazing, can’t wait to go back and try brunch
The food was outstanding. However, eating outside on Merchants Road was horrific (Not Lucca's fault...) the raging motorcycles going high speed up and down the road were just dreadful.
We had a fabulous Father’s Day brunch at Lucca Kitchen. Our waitress Arielle was great and doted on the two Dads in our party! The food was delicious, generous portions and nicely presented. Next time we are in Rochester we will surely go back for dinner!
Excellent food and service ! The staff and owners were excellent , great atmosphere !
Excellent service. Food was very good! Peaceful and calm environment.
Everything was wonderful!
Came for breakfast. Usually the service is good, but it was bad this time . Told the waitress we wanted crispy home fries.. she brought it out .. wasn’t crispy. Being a waitress in the past , if I saw the order wrong I’d tell the chef to remake it and let the customers know if will be a little longer but instead had to be that annoying customer who sent their food back then the chicken & waffles the chicken was so salty. I doubt I’ll be back again.. maybe for dinner but yea I wasn’t pleased
Fish fries are really good! However, there are no other sides or veggie substitutes for fries :-(
Salad selections are sure to please, something for everyone.
Slaw and tartar are not the average fare, very different and flavorful!
The staff was friendly and professional. I ordered one of the specials, Gorgonzola crusted steak. I asked for the steak to be done medium; pink throughout. Our meals arrived before we finished our salads, and the tiny table didn’t have room for bread plates, salads, entrees, water glasses and wine glasses. The steak was very underdone, rare at best and chewy, and the Gorgonzola was heaped on top. The broccoli was undercooked and crunchy. Only two desserts were offered, which seemed unusual.
First tine in a restaurant since Covid. Hopefully this place is just still working out the kinks and may be suffering from staffing issues.
Service was a little slow. Cocktails were not good at all. Crab dip appetizer was overcooked and super salty. Salads were okay but lacked flavor. Entrees (spaghetti and meatballs, chicken in wine sauce) were pretty good. Prices were reasonable.
Might give this place one more try in hopes of a better experience.
Outstanding dinner, attentive wait/hostess staff. Definitely recommend to friends!
The food was absolutely incredible and the portions were large. Mimosas were great too!
First time dining at the restaurant, it was a great experience. The food was awesome and the staff was very welcoming. We have found a new favorite
This was our 2nd time for brunch at Lucca. Our server was amazing and very friendly. The food was just as delicious as the first time. This visit I ordered the chicken & waffle...outstanding. The only thing I would change is that the maple sriracha butter is on the side. Just a a personal preference though. And as always, you can never go wrong with mimosa's!
Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday morning for brunch. The food, staff, entire experience was wonderful. Hard to find a bottomless mimosa brunch and they nailed it.
Had one of the best dishes I’ve ever had with their recent mahi mahi special. Absolutely fantastic dish that had layers of rich flavor.
All of our appetizers were delicious as well.
Great service. Overall awesome experience. Can’t recommend it enough.
This is my second visit to Lucca and it was wonderful. On this visit my friend and I sat at the bar to have our dinner and it was comfortable and fun. We were served by a sweet and hard working bartender who made the most perfect drinks...and it was her first day! She was funny and we all had some good laughs between her running back and forth serving folks. Good staff often makes or breaks a restaurant and this young woman demonstrated an excellent work ethic and represented Lucca very well. Our dinners were delicious, the atmosphere lively, but relaxing. We'll be back!
The food was good and the ambiance was great. The service was slow and we had to repeat our orders many times and ask for things repeatedly.
