My wife and I love Luca's for brunch!! Luca personally makes us feel welcome and the food is always great!!
We started with the Pita sampler, which was fantastic! Everything was super fresh and homemade and the service was outstanding.
The Sunday brunch menu includes a nice variety of choices for all palates and moods. The only place in town that serves a Bento Box. (Possibly a tribute to the previous owners?)
The Eggs Benedict and the Smoked Salmon Board are always good choices, but this time I opted for the Luca's Burger. The large (10 oz.) burger was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, the vegies were fresh and the small portion of fries was a perfect accompaniment.
Luca's has a fun and friendly atmosphere- and great food. The owner is usually on site and engages with the customers. We always have a great time here!
We were greeted warmly at the host stand by Luca, and seated quickly at a lovely table. The grouper special was amazing! The service was on point and timely, and dessert was delicious as well. Highly recommend!
Very welcoming and the food was very good. Casual and easy.
We had a fantastic meal at Luca's! It satisfied everyone - even a 1 year old!
We love Luca's and dine there frequently. Luca is always there to welcome us and is a "Hands on" owner. Staff is friendly and efficient. We love the various Risotto specials and the Veal Chop is a personal favorite of mine. Ambiance is modern yet cozy.
Lucas was amazing. Great food, service, atomosphere. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my 30th birthday. I will definitely go back and recommend everyone to try it.
My first visit. Had been to the sister restaurant in town, Ciao, a few years ago and found it good, but typical family-style Italian. Luca's was different from the sharp, modern lines of the decor to the eclectic bistro menu. The staff was all friendly, knowledgeable, and made fantastic recommendations. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a man I assume is the owner with a warm "Welcome Home!". The meal was amazing, the bar selection is extensive and well-crafted, and I had some of the best key lime pie for dessert I've ever tasted.
Probably not the place for the littlest kids, but with their pizza menu at the ready, this can be a place for your family. Also works for a date, a business dinner, or an evening out with friends.
Would definitely go back!
Excellent. Felt like I was in Italy having dinner on someone's porch ! Food good and people even better!
We always enjoy our dinner at Luca's! Food is tasty and service is reliable.
Great place. Food, wine and service outstanding . Looking forward to going back.
Took our adult children visiting from Atlanta and Los Angles.. we all enjoyed our meals..Beef carpaccio and mussels were excellent and the thin crust arugula and goat cheese and sausage pizzas were delicious.. Chef /Owner Luca, hit another home run with this awesome restaurant too!
Outstanding meal. Luca's never disappoints
Excellent host, but everything else was lacking. The poor guy did his best, but the rest of the team was just not into it.
We enjoyed our evening with good service ,great food and good cocktails worth checking out if your looking for a new spot
Luca's has a short but interesting menu. We've been there several times and everything we've ordered has been excellent. The service is great, too.
I visited Luca's twice in the span of a month. The first visit was for drinks and appetizers. The second visit was for dinner. The food and drink was outstanding on both occasions. The food tasted like it was prepared using the freshest ingredients, and the presentation was very nice. The service was equally outstanding. You know you're in a restaurant that takes pride in the quality of its food and service when the owner himself personally visits your table to make sure you are enjoying your meal. My visit to Luca's was memorable, and I will definitely return.
The food was excellent. I was seated with no wait and served quickly. The staff were very attentive and the portions were just right. I liked it so much that I visited twice while on my trip!
Excellent for price level and ambience. Very enjoyable for gathering with friends. Food is very good for price level: Small plates, pizza, salads and entrees are all good!
So glad we tried Luca's on Center. We've lived in Amelia Island for three years and not tried it - we thought it looked too formal and modern - not "Island Ambiance", but so glad we went. Host and proprietor very welcoming. When you walk in the decor is not cold and formal - it's lovely. The fresh catch - grouper was amazing. We'll be back.
unfortunately when we arrived there, they were closed. Maybe because of shrimp festival.
Luca really put together a warm and inviting restaurant with a varied menu. Service is friendly and the wine list is appropriately priced. Nice place for entertaining on downtown Center street.
Don't go to this 'Italian' restaurant expecting to find lasagna and parmagianas on the menu. Not really sure why it categorizes itself as Italian. Despite that, the menu was interesting, the food was very good, and the service was very attentive. They like to seat folks in the 'storefront' window, but if that's uncomfortable for you, you can request to sit in the back. It was a cool, different place.
Awesome as usual👏👍and can't wait to go back with family and/or friend! Thank you Luca
Excellent! The host is charming and the food is delicious!
My wife and I had dinner here the first week of May - food and service were excellent - portions were just right, and the owner came to check on us a few times to ensure or experience was top notch.
Awesome...once again! This is our 3rd time at Luca's and they continue to wow us
What a locally owned restaurant should be. Personal greeting and attention from the owner. Great menu with unique options prepared from locally sourced ingredients. Clean, well designed interior for a nice atmosphere. Look forward to returning!
Special salad with melon proscuitto and fresh mozzarella wash delicious. Enjoyed a pepperoni pizza after . Thin crust and just the right amount of ingredients. Met the owner, he was a deluge to talk with. I sat at bar and the bartender was great.
We arrived early and they took us - no problem. We got a table by the front window and were able to " people watch". A great variety for an Easter Sundy brunch.
Our food was delicious! Service was a little slow, but very pleasant. It was well worth the time!
Great evening at Luca's. Server was awesome...very friendly...did a great job explaining the specials. "Team" service was totally in sync and made the food delivery very efficient as was the table clean up. Each of our meals was excellent. Would highly recommend all of it. Evening topped off with Luca bringing cookies to our table. Great evening in Fernandina!
Excellent food and service.
This is our second trip to Luca's and it will not be our last. We first went shortly after they opened the food was very good. It has only gotten better. The share plates remain excellent with the mussels being the standout. This time we tried some of the entrees. They had a scallop risotto that was very, very good. My wife had the avacado capressa salad which was different than any we had seen before and could easily be a meal. The service as before was excellent. The owner is there to meet you at the door. He has an amazing memory for names and faces, and he knows how to work the crowd. The restaurant is quite large in back, so if it lloks crowded from the street, there is probably room on the other side of the dining room.
Nice atmosphere, nice bar for dining, good food and wonderful waitress. What could be better?
One of the newer historic district eateries, it will be a favorite of mine. The menu AND the atmosphere is thoughtful as well s creative. Do yourself a favor and try this spot. Another good reason to visit Fernandina Beach!
Luca owns this restaurant & Ciao Italian on Centre. We found this place to be less traditional Italian food & more Continental or eclectic food. The menu has a lot of variety. I had the nightly special of seared scallops on top of pasta & my husband ordered the coconut shrimp with rice. We enjoyed both our meals, even though the shrimp was not the fried variety we are used to. It came in a curry sauce instead. We shared a good Caprese Salad with Italian bread. Our server was excellent & very friendly! Luca was his usual welcoming self, bringing us complimentary flat bread & Amaretto cookies. They serve a nice red wine Sangria also. We noticed a lot of people ordering the pizza, which looked amazing!
This was our first time at Luca's, although we've been to Fernandina Beach five times for the Amelia Island Concours D'Elegance and have eaten at a number of different restaurants in the area. The food was very good. I had the chicken cordon blue and my wife had a thin crust pizza. Our server was very attentive and I observed that she had a fair number of tables to deal with and appeared to keep everything moving in an organized fashion. We will definitely book them next year. The good restaurants get booked early during this event.
