Luca's Italian Bistro
Very nice, family friendly restaurant. Service was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend for a casual night out.
We love their scallops and was disappointed to find out they were out of them early on a Friday evening.
The mussels here are so delicious & big!! Always a real treat! And the limoncello calamari is one of our favorites. I really love the 1/2 wall that separates the 2 dining areas. Great for staying separate. And I love the music- Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Frank. Goes well with Italian food.
Our food was delicious!
Enjoyed our night out with friends. Delicious!
We started with appetizers. I had the crab bisque, my husband had the shrimp cocktail. The bisque was quite flavorful. There were bits of crab but nothing remarkable. The shrimp in the cocktail were a very generous size. However, the shrimp were warm. Also, we had to ask for cocktail sauce. Shrimp cocktail. No cocktail sauce? It was brought out but that just struck me as odd. Bread was brought to the table, it was stone cold. It was nothing more than frozen bread, made, then put in the fridge. For dinner I had chicken piccata, my husband had stuffed shrimp. I can't complain about portion size, there was enough to feed 4 people between the 2 plates. That's ok, we like leftovers. We asked for grated cheese, it was nothing more than Kraft Parmesan. Even Olive Garden brings out fresh cheese and grates it right there. The food was good but not remarkable, nothing greatly memorable or can't wait to go back again. The other thing that had us scratching our head... the menu. We had different menus. Mine had certain things on it, my husband had other things on it. This was not a handwritten specials menu but a printed, regular menu. But they differed. Not only for items offered but price as well. My menu said chicken piccata $16.99, my husbands it said $20.00, as was the same with a few other choices. We looked carefully at the check when we got it. Will I go back? I might. Will I run back or strongly suggest someone else try it? Probably not so much.
We made a reservation for 7, only to find out they close at 7. However the hours on open table and on google show later times. The girl we were greeted by didn’t know we had a reservation as she said she was busy (when we got there there was one other couple). She did allow us to eat there but it was very uncomfortable once the music turned off and you could hear them in the kitchen talking about how late we got there. (Again didn’t know that we were making a reservation outside hours as no where but the front door has 7pm listed as a closing time. Food was ok. I don’t know that I would go back again
This restaurant ruined our Valentine evening! We had a 6:45 reservation and our meal was delivered to our table at 8:39. We literally were sat and forgotten. We had to ask for water while we waited.
From where we sat we could see the people coming in for their takeout all night long and getting their food right away. Perhaps we should’ve ordered on line!
Made a reso for an early Valentine dinner. Walked in to a line. Brand new server on-had no idea what she was doing-said we had a reso and told us to go "sit over there"-no menus-no service-no asking our name or verifying Open Table. We got our own menus. Waited. Waited. Another new server came over-overwhelmed-although the restaurant was only half full-people waiting a long time for their take out also. Brought our own wine-asked for wine glasses and ice water-got the glasses and a cup of ice-menu was a priced fixed-not advertised online or Open Table. Asked about one or two items-server didn't know and had to go ask. Ordered cajun pasta and eggplant rollatini-got the pasta and chicken parm-sent it back-got the eggplant with cold penne. The rolls beforehand looked like they were smooshed. Food was average-disappointed as other Open Table reviews were very good. Service staff was very sweet but totally untrained and that's on the owner/manager. We'll never return.
Service was unacceptable. Tried delivering food to our table before taking our order. Seemed extremely unorganized. Food was good
Food is always delicious and plentiful... but there are always a minor snafu (i.e. ran out of "mixed vegetables as a side... everyone got creamed spinach)… We chuckle, and still find it is an easy place to get into and the prices are modest for the quality, flavor and quantity of food (always a follow-on lunch). Dana is a friendly server and goes with the flow... from the diners and the kitchen.
Great service, generous meal portions. Good home town restaurant.
Luca's never disappoints. This is our go to restaurant. Love the BYOB and the great value. The salmon special and chicken parm were both delicious. Will return again.
Always a great meal and great service - love the BYOB. Recommend highly.
Wonderful eggplant rollatini and exceptional seafood and pasta dish. BYO also a plus. Would definitely return.
Lucas never disappoints. We made a late reservation and were the only ones in the place. Nevertheless they were very accommodating and friendly. We all enjoyed our meal and service. Will be back for sure.
Good portion of delicious food! A little warm inside air not on!
Luca's is a great place. The food, service, and value are the best. Always recommend to anyone. The BYOB is a plus !!!!
The four of us all enjoyed our entrees. Two of us got the stuffed pork chop special which was excellent. We also had the lobster bisque soup which was very tasty and a steal for $3. Very enjoyable dinner out.
Only complaint is the last two time we were there the air conditioning was not working...otherwise the place is outstanding
Food and service were excellent . The only draw back was it was too warm in the restaurant. We will be back with friends.
Amazing! My husband and I love Luca’s! It’s our favorite! The food is great and the staff is very friendly....treat us like family!
We both had the stuffed shrimp with lump crab meat. Six large shrimp and they were delicious. Our server was terrific. The bread before our entree was warm and tasty. Only complaint was the restaurant was warm on this very hot day. Also I did not care for the potatoes that came with my meal would rather have had pasta if it was offered. Overall a very positive experience.
Quiet little family run restaurant in the heart of a quaint neighborhood. A hidden gem!
We have never been disappointed at Luca's Italian Bistro. It is one of the best hidden secrets.
Food was great. Was understaffed so service was slow but the waitress was really hustling. Will definitely go back
3 people in the party. 1 could only eat half of the food due to it being tasteless. 2nd person said the food was alright. I thought the food was decent.
Service was good and especially like b.y.o.b..
Would probably go again to try something else.
Low-key restaurant in residential neighborhood. Unpretentious. BYOB. Many good choices on regular menu and typically a few good alternatives on the nightly specials. ALWAYS very generous portions... you'll get at least another lunch or dinner (or both) from your leftovers. Good value. Sometimes the are lightly staffed - in our case, a single waitress was a bit overwhelmed... but we were not in a hurry. Don't think fancy... think good mainstream Italian food and a good value.
Great food as always, new waitress Jenn did great under difficult circumstances, but owner/chef seems to be having a hard time keeping up growth. Took an hour to get calamari appetizer and it wasn’t as awesome as usual on the weekend. Requested spicy sauce for it and a “pile” of pepper flakes dumped on marinara sauce. Stuffed shells and Chicken Saltimbocca were excellent. But this was a two hour encounter due to the kitchen. Get some help...
I’ve been here a number of times and have never been disappointed... my compliments to the chef! Have told a number of friends. Thanks for some great food!
Lucas is becoming our go-to restaurant in Easton. We reserved through OpenTable and they had our table set before we got there and was seated immediately.
The menu has all the standards and they had a number of chef's selections to chose from. I had the veal chop and it was great - perfectly done and tasty. We will return for sure. Love the BTOB feature.
Decent Food God Awful Service!
I felt like they tried. The owners are an older couple, they were nice and they tried but wow they just don't understand restaurant service. We order two apps and a soup to start. One app never showed up and we did not get the soup either. 4 meals came with salad, only two salads rec'd. 3 kids meals came out together the fourth was 20 min after. 3 adult meals came out together the fourth 20 min after. I mentioned this to the owner and he joked it was great. Huh?
The old couple tried to make light of a bad situation. Note the food was good. They need to step up the service. Our waiter mentioned he was a chef also so who knows maybe they were short handed. Unfortunately this is enough to make our group of 8 not to return.
That was the first time we were there and it was excellent! The prices are great and you get plenty of food. I would highly recommend Luca's!
Manicotti and Seaside pasta were amazing! Great tiramisu.
Always a great experience and delicious food at Luca’s!
Dined on Valentine's Day. My wife's Filet Mignon even thou requested medium was really red inside. Definitely not cooked long enough. We told the waitress who took it back and had it cooked longer. Second time a charm. Restaurant did not charge us for the Filet even thou we said we would pay for it. Great restaurant.
It was very cute byob. Food was good and generous portion. Would def go back again!
Although we have several favorites on the regular menu, the Seafood Special was fabulous - jumbo shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, with sun dried tomatoes and more - were perfectly cooked - Bravo!
Really enjoyed our food and the service was friendly without being intrusive. This is a great casual place tucked into a suburban neighborhood. The building was evidently once a service station, but now it makes a great spot for a restaurant, with convenient parking and a casual, comfortable dining area. The menu is almost all standard recipes but the ones we had were well-prepared and served with care. BYOB means the prices are a bit high, but if you like wine with your meal, you can easily end up spending less than you might with a bottle of wine that you enjoy more. We were there on a Friday night and by eight there were only three of four tables left; it was wonderfully quiet, which added to the enjoyment of the meal.
It's BYOB so items may be pricier than other Italian restaurants but being able to bring your own wine makes up for it.
