This was our first dining experience at LUCA and we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff greeted us with, “Happy anniversary.” Our server was great and walked us through the menu as far as ingredients we weren’t familiar with and what items she had tried and liked. She was also helpful with pairing our wine selection and brought us a taster to finalize our choice. All of the courses were well prepared, plated in a complimentary manner, and provided fresh locally sourced ingredients. Perfect restaurant for a foodie wanting to celebrate a special occasion.
Noel was our server and she was amazing! Our meal was absolutely delicious! Thank you!
Always a great experience at Luca. Love the decor, the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is delicious. Recommend the chop salad, cauliflower, and sweet potato small plates! Also the Luca sour. Burrata is only okay. Seating is a little tight, but fine for most people. I’ve never had a bad pizza or pasta here!
As always it was delightful. But we were very disappointed by the quality of the espresso. It tasted stale and just awful. Sad way to end the meal.
Delectable dinner....service with a smile ....birthday greeting for my daughter was extra special ... food is the best!
Excellent all around, except for a bit noisy.
It was Mothers Day and I enjoyed every moment of my stay. Alex our waiter was very knowledgeable . We will Defenetly return. I'd like to sit at the "chef's" table
Yummy great food, atmosphere,,service and sharing.
My daughter who needed time behind the wheel and I chose LUCA in Lancaster because it would give her a couple hours of driving time and the menu looked interesting. We were right on both counts. The food was very well prepared and well worth the drive. We started with the smoked trout crostini and it was fantastic. The broccoli rabe was the best I have ever tasted. Gnocchi were heavenly little pillows in a fabulous red sauce and my daughter's pizza was amazing with the right amount of spice. Sadly, we had no room for dessert.
The service was good with the exception of the receptionist, who was cocky, rude and unprofessional.
Overall an excellent meal with great service .
However, Luca should loose the policy of over 8 people you are forced into prefixed menu. This makes it less desirable for groups.
LUCA has an excellent bar program and their small plates are exceptional. We no longer have to travel to a Vetri restaurant in Phila for this level of quality. Entrees and desserts do not disappoint, the atmosphere is loud, but happily so, and the service ranges from very good to excellent.
You can do a full dinner, or just drinks and small plates or pizza and have a great experience either way.
We heard so many positives about LUCA we questioned whether it would live up to the hype. Well, it far exceeded our expectations and has become our new favorite restaurant in Lancaster. The food and setting is something you would expect in a large city.
We enjoyed the authentic Italian menu! Food was delicious!
LUCA was delicious as usual. The wine list has been expanded and the menu items are always unusual
The service was excellent. Our server was a recent hire and she was awesome! The beverages were good but overpriced. The small plate choices we had were very good. The beef tongue was especially good.our entrees were not great and we were disappointed. My husband had sea bass and I had the steak which was tough. It was cooked well and seasoned nicely. It was our 40 th wedding anniversary and our server made the event special.
The tripe was over cooked-mushy, gem salad was good as usual, the bolognese pasta was okay. Thought the " living wage " was a joke at first, it is like asking me to pay for their help. Gee I thought I already did this? If the management feels their kitchen staff needs to be paid more - pay them more-it should be part of their overhead. May the management likes making more money and not giving their staff a fair wage. I was really insulted when they added it to my bill-perhaps they could make it an option or better yet set up a tip jar at the front desk.
Incredible food, flavors and textures are well balanced and thought out, great care going into the food and presentation; attentive and knowledgeable staff gave helpful suggestions to enhance my experience. The beet salad was incredible and the amaro custard pie a perfect end to a beautiful meal.
The food was truly phenomenal, but the dinner was ruined by some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Our waitress failed to put in our appetizers, so we waited for 50 minutes before we received any food. She put in the wrong main for me, so it had to be sent back. At no time did she apologize, she just repeatedly made excuses and blamed the bartender, the kitchen, and her overly long manicure (yes, seriously). She didn’t even check on us once dishes finally arrived. Nothing was comped. Again, the food was excellent, but I won’t be returning to Luca. I received significantly better service at the ice cream place we stopped at later that night.
My visit and meal were just out of this world. This was our first visit and we are definitely going back. The service and friendliness were outstanding! I would highly recommend Luca to all of my friends and family.
Thank you for such an awesome experience.
Enjoyed it. It was a little hard to hear but otherwise lovely.
Food and service was outstanding!! Definitely would recommend!
LUCA is amazing! My husband and I have eaten there a few times and have been overwhelmed by how wonderful it is. It will be a regular spot for us to enjoy! You must go, especially if you love Italian.
As usual, our meal was wonderful. Service was excellent.
Thank you for another positive experience.
Our evening at LUCA couldn't have been more wonderful! My aunt and uncle travelled from Seattle to Lancaster, and this was our farewell dinner to thank them for coming for a 'couldn't have gone any better' visit! The appetizers are excellent, we had the Calamari/Shrimp and the Scamozoa? (mozzarella on toast with drizzled honey) -- totally mouthwatering. My mother and uncle both had a brick oven pizza which they couldn't stop talking about, and my aunt and I had the strip steak special which had the most amazing savory aju over the meat, mushrooms, roasted potatoes, and a seasonal salsa to top it off, and we couldn't talk because we were too busy eating! And, dessert is just at a totally different level -- and we shared 4 different delights. THANKS LUCA FOR MAKING OUR CELEBRATION SO REMARKABLE!!
For great food, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service, and an all-around wonderful experience, Luca is the place to go. From the appetizers to dessert, and everything in between, this restaurant is can't miss. I am conflicted about singing Luca's praises, however, because rave reviews make the place even more popular than it already is.
The food is great! But if you get a table for 2, beware your basically sitting in the lap of the other tables for 2. Otherwise it’s excellent.
Our server, Kayla, was knowledgeable and helpful. She made excellent suggestions when asked and was attentive without hovering. No exaggeration-every single thing we ate was delicious! We will most definitely return.
Excellent, as always! We dined here for our anniversary, enjoying multiple small plates (and accompanying to-go boxes) and a piccante pizza then dessert and coffee. Try everything and take some of your food to go so you don’t miss out! Mitch was very personable, attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu, specials and restaurant itself. Love Luca!
Avoid the balcony seating where my wife and I were shuttled off to. make sure you ask for the seating in the main room where the people watching takes place. we had 3 dishes. Two were disappointing (artichoke heart and squid rigatoni). their take on fried calamari was unique and very good. Service was excellent.
Our favorite place but twice now it was so salty it ruined my meal.
Cannot say enough how awesome this restaurant is. The atmosphere, the service team and, of course, the food all rock!! This was a Wednesday night and the place was comfortably busy. We sat at the bar for some appetizers, then moved to our table when they were ready for us. Not a single problem. Will always consider this one of our top Go-To restaurants in Lancaster to visit and recommend!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, what more? We loved our dinner experience at Luca.
This place is great, and it's only better in season when they have a seasonal rotation with their menu items. I have never had a bad dish here - ever! If you don't know what something is never feel shy to ask, servers are all very knowledgeable.
Luca is a godsend for anyone with Celiac Disease! Truly Gluten free food and very knowledgeable staff! They offer GF bread, pasta, gnocchi, appetizers and desserts. The food is amazing so be sure to make a reservation in advance!!!
As always a dinner at Luca
The service and the ambiance are terrific and the food is outstanding. This meal was a special occasion and the staff made a point of wishing us a happy anniversary when we arrived AND on our way out. My husband is a chef and has a fine tuned palate. He had the New York strip special and said it was one of the best meals he's ever eaten - he's a big fan of the bone marrow potatoes. I could happily eat burrata every day. We went all out and when the bill arrived it was money well spent!
Phenomenal offerings, taste matches the creativity. Worth a visit anytime you can get a table.
