Located at the intersection of Madison Street and 28th Avenue in the heart of Seattle's Madison Valley, Luc is a neighborhood spot with heartwarming food, fresh cocktails and a well-selected wine list including our own blend, Luc.
The menu highlights the Luc Burger, Boeuf Bourguignon, Trout Almandine, Chocolate Pot de Crème along with daily specials and a daily specialty dish to be shared family style.
Luc is a journey and a feast for the senses in a very casual atmosphere.
Happy Hour is daily from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the bar, kitchen counter, and patio.
The foi gras was excellent. My husband had the salmon special which was also very good. I had the duck which was overcooked, I sent it back, they brought me a 2nd duck with only a short wait, I did not return it a 2nd time. It was better than the first try but slightly undercooked..
Service was excellent
We reserved for five and called to make it seven about 45 minutes before dining time. They were very accommodating. In addition, we had a vegan and a vegetarian in our party. The chef made a delicious dish for them. The rest of us had fish, lamb, barley risotto, duck and beef bourgignon. Every single dish was excellent and service was great!
Always excellent, and never disappoints.
Recommend everything from the hamburger to the salmon.
Great meal and service. The fish special was excellent, drinks strong and my friends loved what I call French comfort food. Quiet and attentive service kept us talking and enjoying ourselves after really long difficult life events before this dinner. The power went out and more candles arrived with no pressure to go. (Two of us deal with food safety professionally so we could only imagine the dancing behind the scenes...). Anyway, we like this neighborhood place a lot. We can always talk with friends, enjoy the food navigate a small curated menu well. Thanks Luc!
Four different entrees, each got raves. Best fries in Seattle.
Luc was a favorite for brunch, however we were disappointed to see the menu was not as extensive as before. The French Onion Soup was tasty but not piping hot.
LUC is our go-to restaurant. The food is always of the highest quality. The staff is always the best. Just go and enjoy.
Lamb was awesome! We had the onion soup which was just as good!
Birthday with brothers. Good Good and service.
We enjoyed everything from appetizers to main course, awesome food!
Great food and great service!
1st time dining at Luc. Food was exceptional - started with a dozen Spencer Cove oysters, then my wife ordered trout amandine, & I had Luc cassoulet- duck confit with house-made sausage & cannelini beans. Went well with the Cote du Rhône Village Familie Perrin wine.
We shared a white chocolate raspberry pudding & pistachio Florentine- the pistachio Florentine was very nice, but the crust was too hard, & for us not edible.
If you like a bistro style restaurant, then we highly recommend Luc to you.
Love this place for Sunday brunch, the croque madame is a personal favorite.
Great and original French food. Creative drinks. Service with a smile.
Finally used a gift certificate we had received over a year ago and it was well worth it. Found street parking nearby and enjoyed the location, and especially the food.
Luc is consistently one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Cozy, warm, and friendly. Wonderful people and food. And shop the local nieghborhood too. Great spot in this town.
NEVER had a bad meal here! My favorite. Will continue to visit as often as I can
We sat on patio, which is nice and quiet. Our waiter was not as attentive or timely as your usual service, so diappointed there. Food was delicious.
The food, ambience, and service at Luc were wonderful. We took family visitors and we had a marvelous time. Our thanks to the staff and Kathy and Thierry for creating a wonderful place!
We both chose to do the menu du jour with the wine pairings. It was lovely. If anything, the servings we are on the large side given the number of courses. The food was delicious. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening!
The food and service were excellent. We were seated near the kitchen, so the noise level was a little higher than preferred for conversation. However, our dining experience for Sunday brunch was very good, and I expect to dine here again for brunch or dinner.
Luc's Chef in the Hat on Madison is a must do! Warning! You will want to come again and again! Food is delicious. Service is fantastic. Atmosphere the perfect replica of a Parisian neighborhood brasserie! Inside and outside dining. Big and small plates. Best burger and frites in Seattle. Enjoy!
The food was wonderful and we would come again. Generous portions, good service. One suggestion would be to update the menu on your website, as a dish one of us looked forward to ordering is no longer on the brunch menu. Their next choice however was delicious.
Had the brunch special quiche and the pork belly amd grits. Amazing!!!
This is my favorite French restaurant. Chef Luc made it a point to greet every table in the restaurant. Such a joy to meet and talk to.
Sunday brunch - French toast and pork sausage was fabulous, but my date said her mushroom quiche was all mushroom. She’d have liked a bit more egg.
We had a later reservation, and the staff clearly wanted us to go. The food and wine were great but the overall experience lacking. I understand that it might have been an off night so I’ll be back. The staff have a right to be tired sometimes!
My wife daughter and her husband in from NYC. We had great 4 course pescatarian meal
With fine wine. Professional service quality and presentation.
Good food but nothing extraordinary.
Delightful restaurant with great food and service. Cassoulet was truly excellent
We stopped by for their special four course meal—which on that night was carrot and vanilla soup, gem salad, halibut and a chocolate pot de creme for desert. It was all fabulous—one of the best meals I’ve had in ages. Slightly smaller portions, as you would expect, but perfectly prepared and presented. Halibut is always a bit tricky but they did it so well! We love this restaurant...
Luc is a great spot for a date, a friend get together, a birthday or just to eat a delicious meal in a casual, lovely environment.
Thierry Rautureau, Luc's owner knows how to make delicious, simple food. He doesn't generally cook but we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that he was cooking the night we were in. Our Trout Almondine was amazing - and I don't usually like trout!
Their happy hour is nice, too.
Great food and service! I'd come back again, esp for the cheeseburger.
We had a nice meal but really bummed they don’t do anything for birthdays. Not even a little candle on dessert!
Sunday night date. The restaurant was only about half full so the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The waitress was very efficient and attentive without being overly friendly. She stuck to her job and did it well. The drinks were yummy and were served quickly. We sat in the back and could tell a new cook was being trained. He seemed to be very confident and went about his business like a pro while the trainer made subtle comments and provided advanced guidance to keep him on task. The food was good. Trout was moist but had maybe too many almonds (if there can be such a thing) and the Beef Bourguignon which my husband ordered was very tasty. Overall a nice dinner out with good food, easy conversation, and solid service.
I’m leaving Seattle for a month and my wife and I wanted to have a nice meal together. We were not disappointed. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious.
I had the beef stew which was very good and generously portioned.
We were immediately greeting when entering the restaurant. They were planning on closing early due to a slow night on the holiday weekend, but they stayed open to accommodate us. Excellent service and friendly staff.. Our waitress made great suggestions from the wine list. Every item we ordered was delicious! We will definitely be back again.
We had a lovely dinner. The food was amazing. Thank you
This is one of our faves for dinner, brunch and happy hour- the food, service, everything about Luc is always wonderful!
