Located at the intersection of Madison Street and 28th Avenue in the heart of Seattle's Madison Valley, Luc is a neighborhood spot with heartwarming food, fresh cocktails and a well-selected wine list including our own blend, Luc.
The menu highlights the Luc Burger, Boeuf Bourguignon, Trout Almandine, Chocolate Pot de Crème along with daily specials and a daily specialty dish to be shared family style.
Luc is a journey and a feast for the senses in a very casual atmosphere.
Happy Hour is daily from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the bar, kitchen counter, and patio.
Always start with happy hour and go on to dinner. Both are predictably wonderful.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Even if you don't live in the 'hood you should still have dinner at Luc. The trout almandine is the best I've ever had.
Mother’s Day brunch was fabulous particularly the spinach mushroom omelette and vegetable hash. Impeccable service too.
Excellent food and service . The staff were excellent, very accommodating to our requests
Looking for more traditional beignets. The brunch food wasn't as tasty as previous visit for dinner.
The Halibut was perfect. The back booth was cozy and quiet. The service just right and attentive.
We love luc! We went this time to celebrate our anniversary and had a lovely meal with a very good server. We'll go back, as always.
Went for Saturday brunch at 10am. Wonderful experience.
We love Luc! Great neighborhood spot, great value, delicious wine, but the service is why we come back A LOT.
This is such a cozy comfy bistro with delicious food. Just the type of neighborhood place that we dream about. Do start with the souffle potatoes! And leave room for dessert.
A big win at work!
We ordered the smoked halibut omelette with vegetable/potato hash and the eggs benedict with the same hash from the brunch menu, plus Bloody Marys. Everything was absolutely delicious. The only negatives: The omelette was a bit too salty -- individuals should be able to add their own extra salt if desired -- and the edges of the toast and ham on the eggs benedict were charred -- crispy is good, burnt is not. Both were very good, they just needed to be moderated a bit. The hash was uniquely outstanding, as were the drinks and service. We will definitely go back!
Wonderful as usual.
The menu at Luc is amazing, ever dish is executed to perfection. As you would expect it to be with Chef Thierry Rautureau at the helm. Google him. The fact that we had Easter brunch for $18 a plate is a head shaker. Ridiculously inconvenient (unless you live in the neighborhood), be prepared to Uber or park who knows where BUT! It's still worth it. Always a meal to remember. There was a misprint on the online menu and they brought us their delicious beignets as an apology. And no, we were NOT those people who demanded anything. I would make recommendations on the menu but there's not anything I wouldn't recommend.
Always a complete joy! I love the food, the servers and the feel.
Always love Luc. I have been a regular for years and will keep going back! :)
I always love going to Luc's. It is like a neighborhood hangout because everyone is so friendly and the food fabulous.
We discovered Luc last year during restaurant week. A neighborhood jewel. We love the ambience. The entrees are delicious. Sunday brunch is also good. The wait staff is attentive. The wine prices are reasonable. I highly recommend.
The Chef In The Hat is always so friendly and entertaining!
We had a very pleasant dining experience. Our server was excellent. And the halibut was outstanding. Also the crepe brûlée was the best I’ve had in some time. Smooth and silky with just the right amount of crunchy top. The wine pairings were perfect.
Luc is a charming neighborhood restaurant that surpassed my expectations in every way. I decided last minute to find a place in Seattle for dinner and Luc had a few tables available, so I figured why not give it a try. I loved the neighborhood feel of the restaurant. It reminded me of the type of restaurant you might find tucked away on a pretty little street in France or Italy. The food was superb. I ordered the trout and my husband ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon - both were amazing. We will definitely make this a part of our regular rotation.
Had a great meal and delicious drinks!! Forget about this little gem sometimes and it's very good!
Just one perfect little French cafe. I'd eat there every night if I could.
Restaurant week menu and prices made this a really great experience
Seattle Restaurant Week brought us here to try Thierry Rautureau’s little place in celebration of our trip to Paris exactly a year ago. Food was great though just slightly imperfect. Appetizers: Local Spring Bitter Greens, Shaved Agour Sheep Cheese, Lardons, Roasted Shallot, Red Wine Vinaigrette was great. Seattle Borscht Soup, Watercress, Goat Cheese, Roasted Walnut was fresh, bright and sweet with a welcome hit of goat cheese. Entrée: Pan fried halibut, Wheat Berries, Thumbelina Carrots, Spinach, Finger Lime Beurre Blanc was delicious though maybe a pinch less salt and more of the finger lime butter would have been welcome. The Confit Rabbit Hind-Quarter, Braised Greens, Whipped Potato, Luc’s Béarnaise was overdone and slightly dry, but still delicious. Dessert: Spot on! Butterscotch crème brûlée pleased my husband and the rhubarb yogurt bravois with almond streusel put me in a happy spring mood! Friendly, efficient, helpful service just like the bistros in Paris 😊.
We love Luc and always enjoy our dining experiences there. This time was no exception. My only slightly negative comment is that the rabbit dish I ordered was way overcooked and the meat was very dry. An unusual circumstance at Luc but thought I should mention it.
Otherwise, everything was wonderful, especially the service!
The potato puff appetizer is so delicious.. a must have!
Dinner was so good, great vibe, fun neighborhood place. Try to go every time we’re in Seattle!
A solid French-style bistro. Excellent brunch. Dinner okay. Terrific ambiance & you can have a conversation.
I had the duck breast and it was amazing. Five stars for that. Unfortunately, my husband was disappointed with his boeuf bourguignon. It was too soupy; served with mashed potatoes that disintegrated into the soupyness, and the amount of meat was skimpy. Other than that, we were pleased with the experience. There was an accordion player, which added lovely ambiance.
THE BRUNCH WAS REALLY GOOD, BUT A LITTLE EXPENSIVE.
My first visit and chose brunch. Menu selection was small to medium but something for everyone. Mushroom omelet was delicious. Will be going back for a dinner some evening. Got very busy around 11 am so book earlier if you want some real quiet.
The service was outstanding, the food was too salty and heavy (even the fish). The restaurant was very noisy in general and the table close to use was extremely loud and they keep drinking which made them louder.
It was our anniversary and our friends as well. We had a terrific time...the food was very good and our server was very thoughtful and attentive. We will all continue to go back for more. Happy hour is also
a lot of fun and the food selections are wonderful.
The food is amazing! The blending of flavors and the presentation are both a visual and taste delight.
Charming - the neighborhood, the staff, the atmosphere were all absolutely charming. The food was delicious. The Chicken Pate with a pear gelee was the perfect start. I had the Trout Almondine & as silly as it sounds the almonds made that dish perfect! They were the perfect toasty-est, crispy-est, yummiest almonds I have ever had. The duck was truly enjoyed by our guest. A few of our party also loved the steak & frites. The Peanute Butter Smores was impossible to resist & was worth every calorie. The cocktails were great too. The Bacon Old Fashioned was a favorite of ours.
More French BREAD should be provided on baguette appetizer too small, in my opinion, complimentary large baguette should be provided with meal, not as priced side dish
Lovely dinner with old friends in a great place!
We always enjoy Luc, and tonight was no exception.
Always our favorite place! Great service and friendly staff. To us like dining at home without the work!
