“There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister, ” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different. LSXO offers straight-up, honest, home-style Vietnamese cuisine—the type of food I grew up eating with my grandparents in the San Gabriel Valley.”
The food was amazing. Like a flavor explosion I. Your mouth with each new dish they bring out. Our server was great and had wonderful recommendations for us. We will be back for sure.
Birthday celebration. Emily was a great server
A must have dining experience. Great signature cocktails and amazing culinary creations set in an ultra cool and secluded ocean front speakeasy. Hands down one of my favorite spots.
Great place for date. Would suggest the restaurant not taking reservation for party over 4. (Our party was of 5, felt like we kinda killing the vibe...)
It was the best food I’ve had in years!
LSXO is an awesome unique dining experience. So cozy and food is delicious! The service was awesome too!
The food, cocktails and service initially were phenomenal. We shared dumplings, mango salad and a few other delicious items for starters. That said we had a 6:15 reservation and at 7:45 they asked us to leave/free up a four top for another party. That could have been handled a bit more tactfully. We were three women visiting from SF using our corporate card. Unpleasant end to an otherwise nice experience.
This place is my favorite every time I come out to California. My wife came out with me on a business trip because it was our anniversary. The food here was fantastic, the music, the service... everything was great.
The lobster and octopus app was the best. The bartender was very patient with us and very attentive
Hidden gem. Makes you feel good as soon as you walk thru the little almost hidden door in the back of Blue Gold.
Thank you for giving us a great first experience at lsxo! We’ll be back!! And for the champagne to celebrate our 17th anniversary. The food was delicious and the wait staff was professional and attentive. Thank you for sharing your ‘home’ and delish meal with us!!
Caroline and Renzo.
Perfect combination of food and ambience.
Great food- service and view!
Came by for lunch with out of town guests. Beautiful view. Food was good but pricey since Little Saigon is so close.
As usual the staff are friendly and attentive!
Food was excellent too!
Amazing service, amazing food!!!
Food and service was great.
Our favorite restaurant!! Delicious food, great view, wonderful service! Highly recommended.
The food and service were outstanding. However the music selection is very poor. The place is so classy but music being played is very offensive. Just profanity one after another.
Everything was great up till the end. We didn’t see a server or interact with anyone from the staff for about 30 minutes. Then we had to get up to use the restroom to tell them we needed the dessert menu. But since we had already waited so long we got over it and then it took another 15 minutes for them to come back for the check. This was our 3rd time and we will hopefully be back but we just expected more especially after their Michelin Gourmand award.
The food and service was exceptional!
Just go and ask for a Smokey old fashioned
Server was very knowledgeable. Loved the 90s hip hop music and the vibe.
Great restaurant food has very distinct flavors, presentation amazing. Service always great. One of my favorites.
When walking into LSXO you feel like you are being transported to an underground (with an ocean view, haha) Las Vegas restaurant! Sexy and private and great vibe!
But I would make a note that when the kitchen is backed up it takes a really long time for each plates to come out. We waited about 20-30 mins per main plates. And took us 2:40 mins nearly 3 hours from the moment we sat down to order to receive and finish our meal.
The ambiance, food and impeccable attentive service we got for my Boyfriend’s Bday Dinner. I most definitely will return again!! Love love love this place!!:)
Sarah, our server, was amazing. So sweet. I had the steak (delish) and my boyfriend had a recommended fish dish, which he wasn’t in love with. Overall, great experience!
I love the service and bar tender. I didn’t get to ask her name but she really makes the effort to pronounce the dishes in Vietnamese. She’s really impressive! Her recommendations were on point!
First time dining with my son in a long time. You all made it so special.
Once again Nikki killing it!! Shes making dish suggestions with phenomenal ingredient and kitchen preparation knowledge. Shes back seconds later taking orders, mixing up drinks behind the bar, serving up appetizers through desserts Watching her work is like witnessing a water balet. Impossible to not fall in love with LSXO!! Thanks again Nikki!!
I picked this restaurant for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. We enjoyed a fantastic meal and a scenic view of the ocean. The service was outstanding. Each dish was unique and outstanding. Overall, LSXO is in my top 5 all time favorites.
Very cool place to have dinner at a restaurant inside another restaurant. However, the food came out so slowly it took over 2 hours to finish dinner for family of 4. We would be served one plate and then wait another 10 minutes for the next to arrive. The hostess must have noticed that we weren't happy about this and gave us dessert for free, which was very nice. Food was good and interesting, but very salty. It was interesting to try a new restaurant for the ambience.
We’ve been here a couple times before and absolutely love it here, but about a month ago I saw that they had afternoon tea on they’re website and all it mentioned was the hours from 2-4 is afternoon tea so I decided to book a month in advanced for 2pm. After spending four weeks looking forward to the tea, upon arriving we were told that we needed to call and give them a 24 hours notice for the afternoon tea, and because we didn’t, we basically just reserved to dine in. So imagine the disappointment after waiting four weeks and being excited only to have it not happen. They offered us dumplings complimentary, which is nice of them, but it was still a disappointment. How would I have known that I had to give them notice? There was nowhere on the website and anywhere I’ve seen that says that you should. And if there is, they need to make it a point to put it where it’s noticeable. I still love this place, but that bummed us out. And the fact that the servers were kind of meh about the whole situation as well... that’s all I can say. I’m sure we weren’t the first ones to have this happen.
Didn’t have food items they used to have that was good. Flavors are at times too strong. Ambience was great with beautiful view. Service was good. Would recommend for atmosphere, but not for food.
Food was amazing as always. This was my first time doing there in the daylight and the view was perfect. Service and the pace of the food was slow but we weren’t in a hurry.
Awesome! Great service. Love the exclusive feel. Food was amazing.
Cool room with beautiful ocean view and delicious food, the Eggplant and Crepe are my favorites.
I would definitely go back. good flavors. more items on menu i would like to try
Awesome exclusive dining experience. only 5 tables available. Great ocean views and a unique Asian fusion menu. The lobster is outstanding with the added benefit of lobster fried rice when your done picking through the lobster itself. Tough to get in but if you find yourself able to grab a reservation highly recommend giving LSXO a shot!
