“There is no signage for LSXO—you can spot the entrance of it tucked into a section inside Bluegold, but you’ll have to know it’s there. While Bluegold is light, bright, and airy, LSXO is its darker, edgier little sister, ” says Vuong. “Both restaurants operate out of the same kitchen, though the menus are completely different. LSXO offers straight-up, honest, home-style Vietnamese cuisine—the type of food I grew up eating with my grandparents in the San Gabriel Valley.”
LSXO - Little Sister Extrordinaire
Is a smaller private dining room within Blue Gold. It has an excellent HB view of the beach, Pier & Catalina. The food is Vietnamese, the spring rolls and shaky shaky beef were very tasty! Attentive service, we will be back!
Shaky Shaky beef is a must. Dumplings are great (could use a bigger portion), same with the kabobs we ordered, would want a bigger portion for the price considering it’s a tapas style. Other than that place was great as usual
I have had the pleasure of eating at LSXO before, had a wonderful experience I wanted to return. This time I found the room not a quint as before. It was freezing inside the restaurant and I know it is a dark room, but this time I could not read the menu at all to see the selections and had to rely on the waitress. I didn't care for the selection this time.
Really cool experience unlike other spots in OC. Loved the vibe, but, with hiphop music could see how certain crowds would be annoyed.
Food was insanely good. Not currently drinking so can’t comment on beverages.
Great food and view
Excellent food and ambiance. Went with two toddlers who ate all the salmon clay pot dish by themselves. I was surprised that they catered well to kids even though it didn’t appear kid friendly. Great service and absolutely worth going again and again and again.
Great time, good food, good service!
This is my favorite spot to surprise people with! Everything is top notch! Now if not so many people knew about it now and it was easier to get a sunset reservation :p...lol
Amazing! Andrea was awesome as usual!
OpenTable is totally obnoxious in requiring that I write a review of at least 50 characters. Here's what I really want to say:
One of the best restaurants in Huntington Beach!
Nice hidden gem in Huntington Beach's Pacific City.
Delicious and unexpected in every way. Fresh and wonderful authentic food. Fun, young environment. Excellent drinks. Beautiful view. Time your reservation for sunset! Vegetarians beware: its very authentic. Some delicious fish and veggie items but mostly meat that can't be removed.
Fantastic food, service, and ambiance. Rarely do I visit a restaurant that makes me think, “ I need to come back here soon.” LSXO is that kind of restaurant.
Amazing meal as always~!!
Food was very tasty, though it was weird paying so much money for Vietnamese food. Our favorite dish was the Bo Kho, which took a while to get to us. We didn't enjoy the sweetbreads as much. Our seating was at the bar, which was uncomfortable to eat at because the counter was low but the bar stools were high. Cocktails were yummy.
This was our 2nd time there. The first time was better.
The service this time was very good, but slow. We waited on our food far too long, though we were gifted a free appetizer for the trouble.
Food was good and interesting, and the atmosphere was great.
Exceptional food and service! The chef checked on us during and after each course. We had three different items and each were uniquely different and delicious!
To be honest, I don't know why all the reviews for this place are so high. The beverages are so-so as well as the cuisine. The best thing we had were the dumplings; delicious.
It's a super cool atmosphere and vibe, with great service. But I am not called to go back for the food. I've had better in Seattle, Los Angeles, NYC, Chicago, Miami, etc.
Very overrated and not worth the hype (or price) in my opinion.
GREAT!!!! Just thought drinks were a little over-priced.
Love the food! So creative and tasty. Our favorite restaurant in OC.
The restaurant was very nice and easy to have a conversation with someone, which is very nice. I’d wather eat here than the other loud restaurants in the area. Good food, good service and I enjoyed the whole ambience of the restaurant . Thank you and don’t change. Vicki
Went for Sunday Brunch. Excellent selection on the menu. We had 4 people and ordered 4 items. Food came out one at a time so we were able to share each "course" before the next arrived. Drinks were excellent. Be sure and ask for one with a butterfly. Music was not loud at this time of day. View was spectacular. Much quitter here than in the main restaurant regarding noise level.
My second visit. Loved both experiences. LSXO may seat a total of 20 people or so. While it is a restaurant within a restaurant you will never feel that you are anywhere but a delightful, intimate Asian restaurant. The food is wonderful, try the dumplings for an appetizer. The price is very reasonable. We had an app, two drinks and two entrees for $90. The staff is outstanding, friendly, nice, knowledgeably. You will not be disappointed.
The ambiance was nice, though a little bit too dark at night.
We ordered the beef tartare for the appetizer, it was everything we expected- super tasty!
The shaky shaky beef was full of flavor, we would highly recommend. Huge portions since it’s family style.
Drinks were awesome.
Excellent food and service. Had the noodle soup with chicken and pork plus the dumplings and Vietnamese egg rolls. Very intimate setting a great view during the day for lunch. Love this place...
Amazing food in an intimate environment. One of the best hidden gems in OC.
Service by Sasha and the rest of the staff was excellent! Food was outstanding! We had the Autumn Rolls, steamed dumplings, and Shaky Shaky Beef. The beef melted in our mouth; and came with tomato rice, and watercress - they both complimented the beef very nicely. Everything was very flavorful. We will definitely return! (Note: It was a bit dark at the table-- had to use the flashlight on our cell phones to read the menu.)
Always amazing experience! Can't wait to go back!
We had a great Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. I would definitely recommend LSXO for a romantic evening out.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and exceptional team approach service!!
We had so much fun and will definitely be back.
Food was excellent, unique and original . Very nice ambiance BUT THE VERY LOUD RAP MUSIC was very annoying.
The restaurant is hard to find. It is inside a shopping mall and inside another restaurant called blue gold.
Love it! My favorite Vietnamese spots! This has been my third time here and love how it’s inside of another restaurant.
Wonderful! Shelby was amazing! Highly recommend
I love this place. So many amazing flavors. I always try to take my friends who are from out of town here to enjoy the delicious food and drinks.
Food is outstanding, service is great, and the view is amazing. I'm not a fan of rap, but that is what the "chef likes when cooking" so get used to it!
Our second visit was as good as the first. Wonderful service and my shaky beef was so tender and flavorful. We will be back.
Small, quiet and unique setup with excellent food and service. Great for a date night or a more intimate group meal.
A hidden gem with amazing Asian fusion style cuisine and craft cocktails ...but the service is less than amazing. I had to ask for refills on my cocktails several times, recommendations were off and my special occasion for my niece's engagement was never acknowledged. I love his place so I will give it another try. Hopefully the service is better next time.
Too much foul language on music playing. Was told part of theme but when kids are allowed to dine, not appropriate.
From my standpoint this is the best food in Orange County. Consistently delicious and never have had a bad dish. Have eaten here 10 or so times and on the most recent visit there was a mix up with the tables so we were sat quite late, but they couldn’t have been better about it. Very upfront with us and treated us well, so it certainly left a positive impression. Favorite dishes include: lamb satay, eggplant, dumplings and the sea bass.
