Really enjoyed our wine tasting and vineyard tour. It’s a small, working winery with immediate family member/owners conducting the tour/wine tasting. We were immediately and warmly greeted when we pulled in and given our choice of outdoor table. The wine tasting consisted of five wines starting with Chardonnay then to GSP, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and finally a Port. Really enjoyed the wines and the education. Ended up joining their wine club!
Great chance to see a small, local winemaker and taste some really good wines. They appreciate your visit!
Our favorite experience from our entire trip. Can’t recommend enough!
Great host! Very knowledgeable and inviting. We liked the diversity in the tasting menu! Bigger winners for us were the ports!
Great Tour, wonderful wine.
I didn’t do a food pairing experience, but the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. The wines were unique and had interesting narratives behind them. If you’re looking for a quiet boutique type of winery with something a bit different from the rest, this is a good choice.
What an amazing 5-star experience. Winemaker Chris personally led us around and offered unparalleled insight to his style, methods and practices in the vineyard. Loved the wines and joined the club. Look forward to returning.
Highly recommend Lisa so insightful and fun great great wine the owner was fun good time
We had an amazing wine tasting here today. Plenty of information and the wine was wonderful!
Great winery and vineyard!
We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. The Port was a pleasant surprise!
Best winery experience of our trip! Winemaker was incredibly generous with his time and knowledge; we learned so much about winemaking and viticulture in the Sonoma Valley. Plus the wines were wonderful! Thanks Chris!
Very friendly service and a great selection of wines! Definitely will be coming back to this winery when we are in the Sonoma area.
There are many wine tasting experiences in Napa and Sonoma to choose from. After touring many large vineyards we went to Loxton and couldn’t have been more pleased. We got to speak with the owner and winemaker himself who answered all of our questions, we learned about his process, and got to taste amazing wines. We found the assortment of wines at Loxton much better than the $100 wines served at many of the fancy places. You could tell they were made with love from someone who has a true passion for wine.
Beauiful winery with wonderful service!
This was vineyard tour. No food. It was a great tour.
Pleasant experience tasting wine and watching that vineyards. The personnel was very friendly.
(One star for food because there is none, which is expected.)
This a small little winery with delicious wines and great service. No pressure just enjoy
Very lovely area, the history and background information was great. Recommendations that were given at the end of the Tasting was amazing
We had a lovely visit and also enjoyed learning more about the process. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
best experience ever!
Great visit to a great little winery. Highly recommend
We had a great wine tasting with a beautiful environment and a knowledgeable and personable sommelier. They did a great job educating and also steered us toward some great wines.
We stopped last minute on the way to Sonoma. It was a great decision. We got a tasting with winemaker Chris Loxton and aside from great wines, Chris was very hospitable, down to earth and willing to share the knowledge of the industry.
Great wine tasting almost in the vineyard. Great wines!!!!
Our sommelier Lisa was fantastic! It is a micro-winery and that experience you are craving for a 1st trip to wine country was fulfilled! We met with the owner Chris Loxton and got to learn all about the winery and the varietals that 4 generations of grape growers really puts his heart into. Every wine was delicious and the experience was fantastic and memorable- we’ll be back!
Lovely space and even more wonderful and welcoming hosts!! Wine was also some of our fave that we tried on our whole trip
Enjoyed an intimate wine tasting with a breathtaking view. Learned about the history of the vineyard and wine making process from the winemaker himself. Great wine and great atmosphere. Will visit again and would encourage others who are looking for a special experience.
Loxton Cellars is a charming vineyard. We’d been there once before and wanted to revisit. We loved the Syrah and the port. Barrett, our sommelier, was very knowledgeable and made our tasting a pleasurable experience.
Our experience at Loxton was ok. The wine and winery were nice but our hose was not very engaged.
