Our approach to food is that it should be healthy, delicious and something that you feel like eating. This is where our interpretation of the modern deli idea has come from.

A delicatessen means “something delicious to eat”, i.e food without pretension, food that is simple to prepare, cooked from the heart, using what’s good, abundant and in season.

Influenced by the best loved dishes of our ancestors from pre-war Europe, the food is Jewish in origin, but the inspiration is definitely the best of local, seasonal produce and satisfying, balanced eating.

We run the kitchen as close to ‘farm to plate’ as possible. Our customers and friends share our food values – we all want to be connected to our food.

Cooking doesn’t start with a recipe, it starts with great ingredients.

    Delicious food but terrible service and meals came out at odd times so none of us are together. The youngest children had to wait the longest for their food which wasn’t easy as they waited about 45 minutes or so. The food is so good it’s such a shame about the service though the wait staff aren’t rude just not very good

    Delicious food and impeccable service! Maybe the space was a little bit loud, but it is only a small restaurant after all! We will be back.

    This really is a very special restaurant with great food combinations that have been well thought out . All executed in a beautiful environment with excellent attentive and engaging staff . We visited the sister restaurant called brown sugar a few days before and it’s quite difficult to say which one was best because quite honestly they were both excellent ! We will be back !!!

    As always, the team at Lox delivers amazing, delicious, fresh and innovative food, efficient, friendly service and a lovely, buzzy ambience, all whilst maintaining a reasonable price tag. It never disappoints!

    Really nice staff. they looked after us so well. My friend lives in NYC and said: "ppl are sooooo nice here" hahaha nailed it!
