Shrimp & Grits
Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes
LC Home Made Peach Cobbler
Excellent service! The menu is pretty pricey, but the food was delicious. The only negative thing I have to say is the Brussel sprouts were only the leaves, and a little too sweet for my taste.
My wife and I visited the restaurant for our 5th wedding anniversary on 10/16/21. There was a bug in my food. I requested to speak with the manager. After about about 20 mins and 2 visits to my table from the waitress, the manager still had not come. The waitress was great prior to the bug, however never apologized for the incident and proceeded to act like it had not happened. She offered to box up the rest of the food or prepare another meal, but for obvious reasons I declined. After my second request to speak with the manager, the manager showed up with an attitude and did not introduce herself. She acted very inconvenienced by my request to speak with her. She repeatedly said that she had taken the steak off my bill. She never acknowledged the bug or the fact that it should have been totally unacceptable for a customer to have experienced a bug in their food. Her attitude was as if I was complaining about my food not being warm enough or service was taking too long (which still should not be met an attitude). I explained to her there was a bug in my food and I felt like the manager should have come out and acknowledged the incident. If for nothing else, to ensure the paying customer that this experience was not usual for the restaurant. Based on the interaction with the manager, it became clear why the restaurant is sub par and the food was served with a bug in it. I will never eat here again, not because of the bug, because of the service I received after. I will also continue writing bad reviews about my experience on every site that allows reviews for this restaurant.
This place needs work. Our experience was NOT worth the money we spent. The appetizers were mediocre at best. The entrees were good, but the sides - although presented as shareable - are small. Additionally, the service was subpar. The ambiance was subpar. The seating was subpar. The drinks were terrible. And, to add insult to injury, it was literally FREEZING in that place. We LOVE to eat out, and we will NOT return to this spot.
Love this place!
Food was amazing!
Service was awesome!
I was very disappointed. It was our Anniversary; it wasn't even acknowledged by the staff. The food was not good. Lobster mac was blan; grit and shrimp was less than average. Brussel sprouts were so dry....Terribly disappointed!
The food was bland! The mac n cheese was soupy. The green beans were too firm. The shrimp and grits was not seasoned. This is not up to par with what I see Chef Garvin cook on tv. The service was good though.
The food had no flavor and the ambiance looked like an open cafeteria. Would not recommend.
Along with visiting friends, my wife and I went to Low Country Steak for the first time. All of our dishes were well executed. I rather enjoyed the pan seared rosemary chicken. Steaks were amazing. I'm going to attempt to duplicate the brussel sprout appetizer at home. Best sprouts ever. Don't be surprised by the check. It was well worth the price.
It was our anniversary we travel from Avondale Az and meet the Chef service was Amazing definitely will be back
The food is ok. Presentation was good. Music was nice. The ambiance did not match what a typical ATL steakhouse usually offers. It was more casual than “high end”. The steak was cooked well. The Brussels were more like Brussels crisps…meaning the vegetable wasn’t whole just the leaves all separated and broiled crispy. It was a cool once over but I won’t circle back.
Service was excellent. Samantha was very attentive but not intrusive. Offered great suggestions and very knowledgeable of the menu.
The experience was exceptional from the reservation to the parking attendants. The hostess called to confirm our arrival and greeted us with a warm pleasant smile upon our entry. The security officer was also kind upon entry. We were seated right away and the wait staff was very professional and knowledgeable of the menu and gave a recommendation upon my request. The sea bass and boneless ribeye melted in our mouths right along with the garlic mashed potatoes and the green beans had the perfect amount of crunch (al dente). My husband and I will return to try some of the other entrees and appetizers!
The staff was amazing, very welcoming and so friendly. The food was great. Make sure when you go you tell them to let the Bartender name Dee make your drinks ☺️
Gabbie is the greatest!!! This was our 2nd time with her….. she’ll be requested from now on
Bone-In Ribeye is excellent.
Bar is top notch.
Service is the best.
We will be eating here every time we visit ATL. Hopefully Chemere will be our waitress again.
Nice ambience, but food was underwhelming. Started with the Sautéed Garlic Shrimp app. Very tasty, but be forewarned it's 6 medium shrimp for $16. I had the bone out Ribeye, Filet, Green beans and Lobster Mac for entree. Green beans were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Lobster Mac was good, but certainly not the best. Steak was not well seasoned at all. The only flavor was the butter on top. Service was good, but our waitress hustled us out of $12 for water. I'll take the L on that for not being very specific about wanting tap water. I ordered a bottle of wine and got a different brand than what was on the menu. All said and done with 20% tip, the bill was $275. Definitely not worth it.
We went to Southern Steak for my birthday. Everything was first class. The steaks were amazing - perfect temperature - and the sides were fantastic. But what sets this place apart from other midtown eateries is the service. Where others are having challenges with fine dining service, Southern Steak excels. Everyone we interacted with from the hostess to the manager were wonderful. This place will defineitly be on our list of regulars in the neighborhood.
Food was amazing, service was phenomenal, ambiance was sexy. Love it.
Apps: garlic shrimp crab cake
Entree sea bass
Very nice restaurant, prices on a bit on the expensive side for a steak. Everything is la carte. Lunch steaks staring at $54.00 - $69.00. Drinks were good, service excellent. However I did an early lunch and we were the only people in the restaurant. Manager was super sweet. Parking is also a problem because it it down town. Spent $12.75 for two hours of parking. Come prepared to spend $$$.
It was disappointing for a steakhouse! The sides were great however when it came to the steak….. I first ordered their special of the day which was a medium steak with crabmeat. The steak came out done! The waitress tried to convince me that it was medium (there was no pink inside)! Then she came back and said that was the last special they had for today, my reservation was for 7:15 and that was the last special hmmmm. I finally had a AVERAGE at best 30 day dry age steak, I had better at longhorn. This is definitely not a steakhouse if steak is what you want try Little Alley or Morton. I will say the Sea Bass was really good so all was not bad.
The service was excellent! Our server, Alexa was very attentive. The food was fantastic! Will definitely return when we come back to Atlanta
This place was simply amazing! I went here for my birthday and I loved everything! Especially the service...Gabby was awesome (probably because she is also a libra) and explained everything on the menu to us. I also forgot my food on the table and they found us outside! The drinks were great, the food...we were speechless! I am telling you now, get the cream corn!! They do play R&B but instead of loud music like most ATL restaurants, they played it loud enough to hear and sing along with but low enough to hear each other talking!
Long story short, Run, don't walk!
My wife and I loved it everything about this place and we will be back!
Very nice restaurant the food is too die for. We celebrated our anniversary there and it was not a let down.. A joyful experience. I must eat place in the ATL...
My husband and I select a different restaurant for date night, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service.
But, was disappointed when my husband left wallet at table and no one turned it in.
I will assume our server or person that cleaned table picked it up.
Amazing dining experience… I thoroughly enjoyed EVERYTHING!
The service is amazing and the ambiance is very welcoming. The food was creatively plated fresh and delicious. A great restaurant to put in your date night rotation.
The food and service was awesome. Our server John F. was top notch, 1st class. I will definitely request him on our next visit.
The porterhouse steak was not on the menue so I had to choose a different cut. The seasoning was just okay. The lobster Mac&Cheese cam in a small portion and was nothing spectacular. Also, there were no sauce au poivre (peppercorn sauce). A real let down!
Had to wait for a table and I had reservations but it was a great experience overall! I even got to take a pic with G. Garvin!!!! It was my birthday so that made it extra special!
The food and experience was amazing, I had the chicken with craned corned and it was so flavorful. My only feedback was the bartender was very dry and brief it didn’t compare to the rest of the staff welcoming attitudes
Experience was just okay. They seemed to be out of several dishes and wines.
This is very aggravating that you are making me type more words - I think my initial response was adequate - I won’t take another survey from you
Hope this is enough words now #annoyed
Steaks and seafood were wonderful. Service was great.
From the time I walk into the restaurant it was an amazing experience. I was seated in a timely manner and the waiter came over really quick and took our drink orders and appetizer orders. The main entrée was amazing the service was great the drinks were great and the food was great. And I even had an opportunity to take a picture with the owner G Garvin.
Absolutely amazing place to eat. Some of the best food I have ever had. Chef G. Garvin showed up and was nice enough to wave and say “hi” to us from the kitchen. Overall superb experience.
The restaurant had a large loud party going on, which was a bit distracting, but our “concierge of service” was fantastic. Ask for Sylvia if you go.
I really liked the location and the ambiance of this restaurant. I'm happy that G put a lot of thought into creating a nice establishment. The parking garage adjacent to the building made things easy with transitioning back and forth to our car. I did think the food was pretty good. I found the outer crust to my steak to be a little charred though & I ordered it medium. I thought the lobster Mac and cheese was missing something. The highlight to me were the crab cakes and the calamari. If I were to go back, I'd probably just order drinks and appetizers. We spent over 300 and they really didn’t do anything to celebrate my birthday. I was expecting a complementary birthday dessert or something and that was not offered. Overall good experience though.
Birthday celebration! Everyone’s food was amazing except for two guests that ordered the salmon. They stayed the salmon was under seasoned. One of them
Sent it back and said that it was much better. Overall it was a move experience.
