A perfect evening! We sat in the outside patio and it was lovely atmosphere, the food was almost perfect. I ordered the polenta for appetizer, the braised short ribs for main course and a hot mess for dessert. The brownie was as hard as a rock and burnt ...I didn’t want to complain because it was late. But I do recommend the place...the staff are amazingly nice!

Lovely dinner and fantastic service! We had a table of 6 in the little private room inside. We all loved what we ordered: risotto with prawns was very fresh & flavorful, pasta with prawns equally as good, posole was nice & spicy, pork chop cooked perfectly. Also enjoyed the little gems salad with beautiful dressing that I’m sure was homemade. Special call out to the GM MIchaley who picked up my phone after I left it there. I walked back in and she knew exactly who I was and handed me my phone! Thanks for a perfect dinner experience!

Great restaurant. The manager Josh was amazing. He went around and checked with each table. The food is delicious. This will be my go to restaurant.

Food was fabulous- polenta bites that we keep saying we wish we had more of, delicious ricotta cheese spread, out-of-this world risotto and impossibly delicious impossible lasagna. The setting is very romantic and the service was perfect. Loved it!

The food is amazing (including vegan and vegetarian options) and service is spectacular. Lovely place and people, great location and ambiance. Dog friendly. Highly recommend.

We celebrated two friends birthdays. Our waitress was very friendly and she provided recommendations. The food was well prepared and quality. The vegan and gluten-free options were actually very good. Our friend loved the lasagna. We also enjoyed appetizers and desert. We will most definitely return and highly recommend!

Delicious food lovely staff

The food was absolutely amazing and the wait staff were incredible! I haven’t had a pleasant dining experience like this in a long time. I have already recommended this restaurant to several people. I personally love the GF/DF options.

Avoid the salads. Heritage bolognese was exceptional. Good food, just overpriced, call it the $10 wine country tax, where every plate is 10 bucks more than its value

Outstanding through and through. This was our second visit to Lovina. The food is wonderful and dining on the patio was lovely. Lovina is our favorite restaurant in the Calistoga Area.

Incredible food and great service

Had an amazing dinner at lovina on Friday! The hostess was incredible and got us the table outside upstairs after we requested it. Had a starter salad and the bolognese and impossible lasagna. Both were absolutely incredible and we will be back to order the same things!! Ended with the flourless brownie. As someone who is gluten sensitive and dairy free this place was just amazing. My boyfriend is still talking about the bolognese and it’s been 3 days since we dined at lovina.

Our service was so personal! Loved our waitress and ambience on a cold night. Upstairs has heaters and inside looked nice and cozy (but spread out as well)!

We had dinner. The pork chop was over cooked and the ricotta was too sweet. The cioppino was the best thing we had! Very good!

Eating at this restaurant was the highlight of our weekend getaway. We’d seen the reviews and expected the food to be good, but we hadn’t expected such spectacular service. Not only were the drinks and food timely, but everyone who served us in some way was incredibly welcoming and kind. It felt like eating at a family member’s house, just so warm and friendly. We loved every minute, and can’t wait to come back.

Celebrated my BFF’s birthday and had a wonderful vegetarian meal! Ordered a cake from Bella Bakery and Paul the owner coordinated with the owner of Lovina, to drop off the cake during non business hours.

It was a wonderful meal. Thoughtfully prepared menu & everything was delicious. It was our first time out of the city since the pandemic. Also our first time dining “in” and it was very comfortable. We had the whole room to ourselves. It was a lovely way to end a fun birthday in Calistoga. We arrived early & good thing because they filled up quickly with excited diners. I can see why- the place is great! We’ve been there once or twice before for lunch outside but this experience was really special. Service was great throughout dinner but lagged a bit @ the end due to the larger parties in the other rooms. We did notice the server had another person check in on us with desert (which we appreciated) and I think the owner may have brought us the bill. We’ll be back for sure & will share our love for Lovina’s with friends! Thanks again for a special meal

Great meal on the porch of a house overlooking downtown Calistoga. The food was delicious and the servers could not have been friendlier.

I am vegan & found rave reviews online about the Impossible sausage lasagna, so that was the initial attraction. However, since we were traveling from out of town, the restaurant also had to be pet friendly- and it was! Even the other customers ♥️’d our dog. After we were seated & read the menu, asked a few questions & explained, the waitress recommended a number of items that could be made vegan. The risotto was terrific! My husband had the impossible lasagna & it was delicious, & a VERY generous portion, too! (The roasted tomato sauce would be great on pizza!) We also ♥️’d the (vegan) garlic bread. I wish that we’d had more room, as the (vegan) cheesecake sounded delicious, too! Great view & ambiance from the elevated heated porch, also.

Great comfort food - Very accommodating, very comfortable atmosphere, generous portions, friendly customers, & pet friendly, to boot! I can’t say enough about Lovina, from the moment we walked in the door we were well taken care of by the entire staff.
We’re planning another trip to the area for our anniversary in a few months & will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful dinner at Lovina. The food and ambiance were great, and the service was above and beyond! After a minor mishap with our reservation, the staff went out of their way to make sure our dinner was special. We so appreciated their efforts! As far as food goes, the bolognese and pork chop were excellent. And the flan was a delightful dessert! I would love to return to Lovina during our next visit to Calistoga.

I had the kale duck salad, very tasty a tad bit salty, but great homey flavor. My cousin ordered the shrimp fettuccine with spring vegetables. It was the best dish at the table, the vegetables tasted bright and fresh with a lot of flavor.

Exceptional food. The pinwheel short rib was amazing and the presentation superb. With limited COVID seating, make reservations well in advance.

We enjoyed the food as always, very delish each visit and great portion size for prices. Celebrated birthday with 12 of us at two tables and staff did their best so def memorable visit
