Lovina (formerly Calistoga Kitchen) offers casual dining with exceptional food, wine, and company all day from Thursday-Monday. Find us in downtown Calistoga on the corner of Cedar Street and Lincoln Avenue. We are a chef owned restaurant that produces delicious dishes and we work with local farms, ranches, and orchards. Our wine list features small producers from the Valley, mostly Calistoga AVA with some exceptional finds from outside our area. Enjoy our industrial heaters on the patio near several fantastic antique stores on the east end of Calistoga's main street, Lincoln.

The kitchen wAs
Short staffed so food took a bit to arrive but the restaurant was so gracious towards us and offered many comps and apologies. Couldn’t have been nicer and the food was definitely worth waiting for!

Given the other reviews dinner was a huge disappointment My husband's pork chop was delicious but the accompanying sides were very salty. I ordered a dinner size portion of chicken and dumplings. Avoid at all costs! There were three small bites of chicken, three slices of carrots, no potatoes, some celery and the dumpling was raw. A huge hunk of dough in the middle of slightly greasy soup. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.

Loved this place! The Chicken and Dumplings was outstanding. chunks of chicken and veggies in a rich broth with a dumpling in the middle. Get the larger serving. You'll thank me.

Delicious dinner in a beautiful home! Thursday was free corkage, too! We enjoyed the lamb shank, and New York strip steak. We had a reservation and were seated right away, and could even select our table. Service was very good, very friendly hostess. We would happily return!

Fantastic food with plenty of options to choose from. The wine tasting option of a half glass of old world vs new CA wines was a fun addition. Highly recommend!

We ordered two main courses and they were awful. The pork chop was over cooked, dry and chewy. The other meal was a pasta and meat dish. It was too spicy and the meat seemed old and chopped in small bits. Such a bummer. Maybe an off night?

Food was great!
The service was a real let down.
Took our orders after taking the orders from people seated after us. Not good.
Never came back to fill coffee or waters. Both coffee and water were empty 3/4 way thru the meal.
Never came back to check on anything. No one said anything to us during the whole experience until they brought the bill.

Delicious dinner!! We had the goat cheese and oysters to start. We could have ordered a few more rounds of the oysters!! Yummmm. We ordered the cioppino and lamb for our entrees and they were amazing. Wine was a little expensive but we brought our our and paid the $20 corkage. Definitely recommend!

Honestly, it was not a good "experience". The staff were nice but there were not enough of them and they did not work well as a team. The food was pretty good but the meal was totally disjointed and it took over 2 hours! It has potential.

The people, the ambiance, and general vibe were lovely. Every dish, however was extremely oversalted. Salty, salty, salty. It was New Year's Eve, so we didn't complain, but the two tables on either side of us had the same comments. Deserts were great, wine list lovely, wait staff was excellent.

New Year’s eve brunch! We went with our three kids and the food was so diverse that everyone was thrilled! It has a real homey feel and the staff is lovely. Save room for dessert- they are amazing! Great options for dairy and gluten free folks. And if you are looking for outdoor dining- the patio is so beautiful.

Food is good but a bit pricy as the dishes quantity is very small with the price being charged. Other than that, food /service/ambiance is good. Please note that It is a small restaurant, so if you have a big crowd, you probably want to go somewhere instead. We had 8 people and are lucky to have their little private area.

Three of us enjoyed perfectly prepared fried polenta and mushroom cubes for appetizers, lamb shank, bolognese, and risotto for main courses, and bread pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious We went on a Thursday night and they were very gracious about free corkage for the old wines we brought. This has become my go-to restaurant for all occasions both for lunch and dinner

Four of us went here for Christmas Eve dinner. Had chicken and dumplings, fried polenta and mushroom cubes for appetizers, then lamb shank, prime rib, bolognese, and risotto for main courses, followed by the Hot Mess and bread pudding for dessert. All of the food was great. We highly recommend this place.

We were a group of six local ladies enjoying a meal out before the holiday craziness began. We were seated in the small private dining room which was perfect for our chatty group. The service was excellent and the food was over the top. I am looking forward to returning for the cioppino and everyone was impressed with the wild mushroom rissoto. The Meyer lemon bread pudding was a hit all around. So glad to have a restaurant like Lovina in our small town!!

Started with a lovely glass of Schramsberg "Mirabelle" Brut Rosé Brut and some delicious fresh oysters. Chicken & Dumplings served as a heartwarming starter, followed by Warm Duck Confit & Kale Salad and Spicy Heritage Goat & Beef Bolognese for dinner. All favorites which never disappoint. Shared two desserts (Sundae Funday and Let's Get Ready To CRUMBLE!) and recommend both. The Lovina team is welcoming and fun. Thanks for another great meal experience.
