Our menu features delicious offering for everyone, including extensive vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
The kitchen prepares meals that we would share at our own tables, food that nourishes your soul and brings people together. We believe Food Is Love.
Delicious food. Menu friendly to vegetarians and those looking for gluten-free. I had the eggplant meatballs and they were wonderful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at Lovin' Oven. Our entrees were delicious pork tenderloin and chicken and broccoli. Our salads were so good and fresh. The service was excellent and we loved the choice of music playing. Because we are trying to cut down on sweets, we didn't have desserts, but we will go back to try the most tempting choices offered.
We went for dinner. It was good, just not great or anything special. My daughter & I had fish tacos, my husband, the pork. Everything was a flat good. I wouldn’t drive the 40 mins again, as I have “good” close to home.
Great place with both vegan and traditional offerings. Great dessert! Would have liked the $25 steak filet to be a teeny bit larger..oh and it's BYOB which I didn't know.
Ken, our server was excellent .. My brother and his wife reserved another table for Valentines day .. the chocolate carmel tart is INSANE.. so good
Interesting menu with choices for any diet. Food was well prepared, tasty and plentiful. Service was very good.
Great choices for new year's prix fix menu, also a nice place to come for a healthy weekend lunch.
Continually great food. Seasonal recipes always tasty.
I enjoyed my burger but thought it was pricey since I was not particularly interested in the mash potato side. French fries did not appear to be an option.
I’d go back and recommend to a friend!
Also, not sure why I didn’t get my points for my OpenTable App and there is no way to contact OpenTable except possibly through this review.
As always, great food ! A hidden gem.
It's always good, you can't go wrong here.
Lacked execution of food preparation. Salad had some slimy greens in it, the fish tacos lacked seasoning, the tortillas were not cooked, tasted a bit raw. Our sever was not very personable, water glass not refilled. A little more attention to detail could have made a big difference.
What a great find for dinner!
Wonderful and creative menu. Gluten and dairy free options. Servers are calm and sweet. Not a big menu but with food covering a wide variety you don’t need an oversized menu. Chairs are cool looking but the wood seats a little uncofrortable . They have bench seating with cushions if the hard seats are an issue. Love this place .
A little pricey, but the food was good and desserts awesome.
1st thing we noticed was the noise level, next the service was incredibly slow. We brought wine and a gentleman who worked there offered to open the wine which was nice, then made a remark about not pouring it for us which we never expected him to. The appetizer when we finally got it was good. Our entries finally came out after waiting a long time were just ok. Overall not a great experience and I know we won’t be back.
Love this place. Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amazing desserts. Wonderful wait staff.
My only complaint is that a medium rare burger was over cooked. Overall great place.
We absolutely loved the food at Lovin' Oven. It was difficult to choose from the great options on the menu. We went on a very busy night due to something happening at the gallery next door. The waitress was covering a lot of tables but she did an excellent job of getting our food to us in a good amount of time. I love the atmosphere! Wonderful restaurant!
I really enjoyed there rosemary bread. It was delicious. I would have preferred it warm but good none the less. The bruschetta appetizer was fresh and delicious. I had the skirt steak and mash with fresh green beans and I enjoyed that as well. My husband had the shrimp linguine and he was very disappointed. No flavor and for $30+ plate he only got 4 shrimp. Had tres leche for dessert and I’ve had better. The ambiance was sooooo nice and the service was great.
The services levels were poor. It took awfully long to get the food and we were not informed on where they were on the process
The food was great! Our server was also so helpful. We never felt rushed. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
Our favorite place for breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner for any & all occasions and any time of the year. We travel an hour to enjoy the freshest ingredients and wonderful food.
We are so fortunate to have lovin oven in our neighborhood. Julie and a master restauranteer
The Lovin Oven is one of those hidden gems that you are afraid to tell people about for fear of not being able to get a table once the word gets out.
Always an amazing meal- from breakfast to dinner! Lovin Oven always pleases! Abd don't forget dessert- WOW!
Food was over cooked and did not replace rather took one meal (of 2) off the bill
Had good previous experience- won’t be back
All four of us ordered the chanterelle mushrooms pasta entree, and all four of us loved it. As always, Lovin' Oven never disappoints!
We went on a Fri. night so it was quite crowded and rather noisey.
The meal was alright, nothing special.. The corn fritters were way over cooked.
A great find in Frenchtown. The food was fresh and delicious. We had dinner and shared a mezze platter, chicken with grilled peaches and the vegetarian meatballs. The prices are reasonable, and despite being the last customers of the night, we never felt rushed. We'll be back.
This restaurant is always way above the average in wonderful food and service. The crab fest was outstanding! The crabs, the corn, fries and the ice cream sandwiches were so delicious. It was our second year and we hope to return each year for this very special meal.
There’s a first time for everything as they say, and this Saturday night’s dinner was the first time that I would rate this place as “disappointing and ordinary.” We went on Bastille day, expecting what was promised in an email from the restaurant of “French inspired dinner specials.” There were none. Just one mussels appetizer that was vaguely French. The menu was instead only a fairly basic summer menu, and while we were very disappointed, it was a little too late to act on our initial impulse to leave to head to another place. Optimistic that the food quality would be on par with our prior experiences though, we forged ahead and ordered two different grilled / barbecued chicken entrées. None of it impressed. My chicken clearly had been cooked ahead of time, was quite luke warm and bland and the grilled peach was cold and burned. My partners chicken was much better, but not smoked as the menu promised, and it came with corn bread that was bitter and dry. Both of us got green beans as a vegetable, apparently they’re very expensive all of a sudden, because we each only got about six of them. All told, something I could prepare myself at home on a bad day and for a lot less than the $80 it cost us. I want to put it behind me, since it’s not in keeping with the high quality I’ve come to expect from the place, but it’ll be a while before we go back.
Thirty minute wait to be served water, never received drinks, appetizers one hour after being seated. Hands down the worse wait staff I’ve ever encountered.
Only issue was they could not apply the Open Table $10 coupon. Good, fresh food.
We were at Lovin' Oven for their Bastille Day menu. All courses were of the highest quality and delicious!
Wonderful service from Melanie!
Food flavors were a bit disappointing (peach chiken and sicilian veggie meatballs.). The tomato sauce had an odd and unappealing taste.
Will try again b/c I love the ambience and friendly, creative atmosphere.
This place is excellent. The food is terrific and although I’m not vegan, all of those options are delicious. The staff are all professional and friendly. Stainless steel straws!
We went on a Wednesday night when they have a special, 3 courses for $23. You could order off the regular menu as well. Food was delicious!
The air conditioning was so high when we arrived that we were uncomfortable and considered leaving - but had limited time before evening plans and didn't want to hunt around for another restaurant. Our server definitely had an attitude (perhaps just a millennial?) and could be better in customer service area. When asked for a clean mug she took it saying "oh, that's coffee stained" instead of I'm sorry. The table was very wobbly despite sims under a leg but she was not fazed and rationalized. My eggplant meatballs and zucchini "pasta" was hearty and quite good; my husband's Mediterranean chicken stew with artichokes was watery and disappointing. As long-time patrons, not sure how quickly we'll be back. Likely for brunch if we do. Just felt "off" compared to many past experiences.
Always great food that's served with professionalism
Great little find in Frenchtown. Very friendly staff, tasty menu choices, and very fresh and flavorful. One of my go to spots!
