Loveless Cafe Ratings and Reviews
The food at Loveless Café was incredible! I am not sure if we have ever had fried chicken as good as theirs. The atmosphere was great for a home cooking style restaurant. I would definitely recommend Loveless to my friends visiting the Nashville area. I do recommend making reservations on the website as it is very busy.
Our wait was minimal with a reservation and were seated at a great table. We had heard lots of great things about this place from friends and family when we moved to Nashville but had never made the time to go until now. Our waiter was awesome! He stayed on top of our table needs all night and was very nice and sociable. We ordered the family style meal with our friends and the portions were great and the sides were the star of the night. The fried chicken and the BBQ were okay. Nothing to compliment just mediocre for what they were. The hash brown casserole was amazing and the green fried tomatoes were good too. The mac and cheese were better than most places that serve it in Nashville. We had a great night and enjoyed our time there but we most likely won’t go back.
What a fantastic experience!! From the moment I made this reservation for a friends' coming together, to the last cup of coffee and fabulous dessert, we couldn't be more pleased. The hostess was warm and friendly and the wait staff very supportive of one another. I particularly noticed how well the staff worked together to make our service impeccable. Lucas was our waiter and what a fine young man. He gave us plenty of time to make our selection and recommended several items we tried and were quite pleased with. He was courteous, professional but warm and welcoming at the same time. He was so respectful of the fact we are older and needed time to make decisions (also we had not visited one another for awhile and wanted to talk and do the word search on the placemat). The food was so good and the desserts! We each ordered one dessert and could not resist also ordering the four berry cobbler to share!!! It is not often we get to the Loveless Café and it is such a treat! Thank you so much for a delightful time. We will be back!!!
We went for dinner on a Saturday night and it couldn't have been any better. No wait and plenty of parking. Our server was more than gracious and welcoming. I've been going there for twenty-seven years and love it every time. Not pretentious. My family loves that they can wear what they have on.
I'd compare Loveless Cafe to Cracker Barrel and Top Hog in Gallatin but honestly both of those restaurants are better. They are less expensive and the food is better. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the experience of Loveless Cafe once. The service was great and now I can say I have been there. If given the choice though, I would probably not go back unless somebody else was buying and really wanted me to go with them. I like to end on a positive note so ... the hash-brown casserole was better than Cracker Barrel's.
I had the Southern Sampler. The fried chicken was over cooked and dry, the meatloaf tasted like they poured the entire bottle of worchester sauce on it and the pulled pork was cold and dried out. The green beans were good, but the hash brown casserole was cold and not cooked through.
My husband and I both agreed that the biscuits were absolutely exceptional but the rest of the meal was just average. I would definitely come again for a big basket of biscuits and maybe some bacon to go with it, but not to eat a whole meal. But the prices were fair.
We left the airport and went straight to Loceless for breakfast. I had heard many great things and seen their biscuits featured on Bobby Flay's Throwdown (they keep them coming your whole meal). Our visit started at 8:45 am on a Friday, we were kindly greeted by the hostess for our reservation. Virginia was our server and she was excellent!! She introduced herself and asked where we were from and when we said Philly she immediately sat down and shared a story. I love persuade waitresses. She made awesome recommendations (pulled pork and eggs and hash brown casserole) and let us taste the apple pie moonshine (she is also the bartender). Our first Nashville experience was awesome! I would definitely go back, worth the drive.
We were in town visiting family. Had read the reviews and heard good things. We had a nice breakfast but was disappointed that both of our meals were not hot, but warm, even the eggs. Coffee was likewise not hot. For $35 plus tip for breakfast I would expect a hot plate. Server was pleasant as was the ambiance.
My party of 4 loved our breakfast experience! The food was delicious and they accommodated moving our reservation a half hour. Love the artwork and you can watch the homemade biscuits being made. We also adored the gift shops and had fun purchasing souvenirs!
