Four Seasons Resort Maui presents the Love for Lāhainā Grand Tasting, December 23rd from 5:30pm to 9pm. The event welcomes notable Lāhainā restaurants and chefs for a magical night honoring those culinary gems lost to the wildfires. Enjoy delicious bites across the Oceanfront Lawn by Chef Lee Anne Wong, Papa’aina; Chef Isaac Bancaco for his Lāhainā ‘Ohana; Chef Kalei Ducheneau, Māla Ocean Tavern; Chef Alvin Savella, Duckine, and Honu Oceanside. Proudly cooking alongside them are Four Seasons Chef Samual Taganeca and Executive Pastry Chef Alexandre Chersouly. All proceeds will go directly back to those hospitality workers who have lost their homes and jobs. A 48-hour, 100% cancellation policy applies.

What a fantastic evening! Chef Isaac Bancaco and Chef Ming Tsai delivered creative dishes and flavors that were unique and delicious. We loved the crispy Kale topping and the unique fusion of flavors. Thank you both for stopping by our table so we could get to know each other better, and for sharing a bit of your personal stories. All of the staff was amazing. Danielle, our main server, was so fun and friendly and we really enjoyed our conversation and getting to know her. She took excellent care of us. We were happy to support Love for Lahaina, but felt like were treated to a very special evening and that we received more love in return. Aloha!

This was a fundraiser for Lahaina and so we are glad we went. It wasn't staffed properly. We waited 20 min for water. Food was ok but not great

Everything was fantastic! Even having Mick Fleetwood at the table next to us! He gave a wonderful speech and had his chefs with him. He was so generous to people coming up and asking for pictures and autographs. I would have joined them but thought just having Mick there to celebrate my 6 year Cancer free anniversary close by was fantastic. We had celebrated the last few years at Fleetwoods on Front Street and did not know what we were going to do this year…,till this event popped up! It was meant to be as it was our last weekend on the island this year❤️❤️❤️

It was wonderful to enjoy Fleetwood's signature dishes one last time. Everything about the evening was perfect, from the venue to the food. We even caught a glimpse of Mick and the chef. It was a great evening for an important cause.

The Four Seasons is a gorgeous venue. Apparently the downpour shifted the seating plan a bit, but the maître’d was working her Fanny off to make it go smoothly. My server anticipated my every move, and was friendly and professional. The food was inventive and delicious, for the most part. I’m astounded at the value which included a glass of champagne.

We came early and sat at the bar. They offered the love for Lahaina there and so we were happy we could go way before 8:30. Food was amazing (I had never had ahi tuna or mahi mahi) bartenders were great and food service was exceptional. Great venue (had never been to the 4 seasons) worth every penny!

We were so glad to attend the special evening of October 8, 2023 with MALA Ocean Tavern’s Chef Kalei Ducheneau. The hotel did a wonderful job arranging the tables in a garden-like setting out of the rain. The prix fixe menu was fantastic! Appetizers were their famous Ahi Bruschetta and Waipoli Greens. The entrée was pan-seared Mahi Mahi with ginger black bean sauce and fresh vegetables, served family style. Dessert was malasadas with a delicious raspberry hibiscus sauce. They also offered 3 specialty drinks, one of which was called “Love for Lahaina”. It was made from Ocean Vodka, Aperol, sweet vermouth, grapefruit, agave and Prosecco. It also had the added touch of a chocolate brittle decoration with a red heart. The evening was very special, and all for a wonderful cause. Mahalo for a wonderful time!

This was such a special and memorable experience! The staff was so kind, hospitable and attentive. Our water glasses never dropped below half full the entire evening. Gerry our server took such good care of us. All of the staff were exceptional. The executive chef from Mala checked in with the patrons and I was impressed with the attention to detail and the special care given to food allergies. You could really feel the love in the food and in the service. Thank you for a wonderful evening the staff at Mala! Thank you to the Four Seasons for such a beautiful venue.

What a wonderful meal! We met Chef Kalei who was so friendly and gracious. Many thanks to all the Love for Lahaina event organizers. Maui has been an integral part of our lives for more than 40 years and we are honoured to stand with our friends who have always been so gracious to us.

The chef’s creations were quite unique, the presentations were excellent and every dish was delicious, however, there were a couple of problems with our meal. Firstly, one person in our party has lactose intolerance and does not eat red meat, and this was noted in the reservation, was re-noted (by the restaurant) when confirming the reservation as well as when checking in. However, when seated, we were told by the server that they cannot accommodate any allergies, the menu is pre-set and there would be no substitutions. So essentially, the person with the dietary restrictions can only eat what suits them. That basically cut out 2/3 of the appetizers and 1/3 of the entrees. (They provided a plate of veggies used in one of the entrees to cover up for the appetizers.) And everything was served family style so the dessert was also not plated separately for one person, especially since it included bacon and gelato. Wonder why the no substitution policy was not shared at the time of making the reservation, and why they even bothered to ask for food allergies. Secondly, it seemed chaotic, and the service was not what you would expect at a high-end establishment. No serving spoons came for any of the family style dishes (all with curries) and when asked for serving spoons for the three entrees, got one spoon. The coffee order at the end of the dinner was messed up as well (brought regular instead of decaf) and fixed it in the second attempt - and no sugar/spoon were served. The server did admit that they were having challenges - this being the first in the series of the pop-up kitchens. While the dinner was for a good cause, the experience was sub-par. Had we known about the no substitution menu, we would not have made the reservation to dine there.

We attended the Love for Lahaina event at The Four Seasons Hotel in Wailea last night. Everything about the event was exceptional. The staff were friendly and appreciative of our support for Lahaina. The food by the chef from the Papa'aina Restaurant that was located in the Pioneer Inn in Lahaina was super fresh, creative and inspired. We were pleased to see that the venue appeared to be sold out. We plan to attend all of the Love for Lahaina events at The Four Seasons and we applaud the hotel for making this happen.
