Lov de la Montagne Ratings and Reviews
Food was cold when it arrived and not worth the price paid. Server was indifferent towards all aspects of her job. Had to wait 25 mins for her to come get our bill and then another 20 for the machine. At least the decor in the restaurant was nice to look at.
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was creative and inventive. Most of our party is not vegetarian nor vegan however my daughter chose this for her birthday celebration. She is very much a vegan and thoroughly enjoyed all the appetizers and main course she had tasted.
Definitely recommend it and keep an open mind that it is vegan and vegetarian but so well spiced and tastefully presented you soon forget that it has no meat protein nor dairy.
We found the service to be a bit lacking; they seemed to be understaffed and as such, we found ourselves waiting a long time for our drinks, the bill, etc. Also, the food was fine, nothing special. We started with the quinoa fritters, my girlfriend had the kimchi burger and I had the gnocchi. All fine, but but nothing sensational.
One of the best food experiences I've had in a while, and I eat at nice places a lot. The food was executed flawlessly and presented beautifully. Combined with the space, it made it feel like spring even though it was -2F outside. We tried about a dozen things on the menu, including the avocado toast, quinoa croquettes, a wonderful cassoulet, onion soup, and more. Nothing disappointed. Most menu options seemed to be able to be made with dairy or without, which made my vegan wife very happy. Most important, the chef let the ingredients shine through and did not over season anything. Definitely the best vegetarian restaurant I've ever been to and I left feeling satisfied on the palette and in the soul.
Light, casual decor and friendly service are the prelude to an intriguing menu of delicious options (at least everything has been during our half-dozen visits to date). Not vegan ourselves , nor even vegetarian, the flavourful composition of the dishes is what keeps us coming back, and will continue to do so.
I was immensely disappointed with Lov de la Montagne. This is my third time eating here, and the first two times were right when the restaurant opened.
Every visit so far has been CRAP.
The service is just bad. Food takes a long time to come, it's cold, they forget dishes. My waffle was cold and they forgot my side of breakfast potatoes. When they finally brought the potatoes, after I had to ask twice, and we had all already finished our meals, the potatoes arrived cold.
This is the 3rd and final visit to this restaurant. I have been to the location on Mcgill many times and have never really had much of a problem there.
Lov de la Montagne - you need to SERIOUSLY shape up.
It is just ok really. The place looks great, but i find the food overpriced for what it is. Everything on the menu looks amazing, but the food never blows away... Lacks flavor! For the price i'd much rather go to other places. I love the fact that it's vegan, but I don't want my plate to just taste like veggies, I want to be taken on a flavor ride, that's what vegan cuisine is all about.
It was my first experience at Lov. We went a group of 5 people, and made sure we had a reservation. We had to wait 45min for our table, and for me that's a total fail. The staff came many times to reassure us that it would be ready soon, yet it went from "yes it won't be long " to a long wait.
Very disappointing !!
I wouldve expected the manager to come and offer a drink or something.. NADA !!
Don't know if I would go again to this location.
Other than that, the food was good and the waitress was very friendly.
This place was everything we wanted. We came from Ottawa for the weekend and specifically choice lov as a birthday evening dinner.
Food selection was great. Quality of food was over the top. Atmosphere/decor was a perfect mix of modern stylish retro clean. Lov is exactly our lifestyle choice: classy fun healthy eating. Thank you for the service as well. Helpful service. We can’t wait to get back and experience Lov again!!
The worst service ever. Waited at least 15 minutes before I had to ask a waiter when would we get to see someone to offer us something to drink. The soup came fast but the main course took too long. All the servers were always around the computer chatting and seemed to avoid looking at the clients !!!The manager took an empty glass of whine on our table and did not even offer another one.
Very very deceiving. Will not go back.
