Dope spot, dope waitress, dope date
This was our first visit. Absolutely everything added up to a wonderful experience. Excellent food. Our server was attentive, helpful, but not intrusive. This easily will become one of my favorite places.
Gaby was our waitress and she was super sweet and knowledgeable about the wine and food!!!
Wonderful place with amazing food and wine.
Friends were in town to visit
I can easily come to this place once a month. The food is delicious. The servers are thee kindest and most responsive that I've had in awhile. But my gosh, the brunch here is amazing. Literally everything on the menu!
Brunch was awesome! BLT croissant with added chicken, Brussels Sprouts salad, French Toast, and their steak and eggs are delicious
Upon entering for brunch there was a strong unpleasant odor that some in our group said it was sewage others thought it could be eggs cooking yet we were in the first seating at opening so that would mean items were precooked.
We were seated upstairs and coffee was located downstairs so it took the overburdened server awhile to bring coffee upstairs - who would want coffee in the morning? The server did not seem to know the menu when asked questions and the brunch menu is very limited?!? One person ordered a biscuit which was served with no accompaniment ie no butter or jam. She asked for jam & server brought a blueberry dipping sauce which had no taste whatsoeverAND she was charged an additional dollar for it on top of the $4 single biscuit. All diners were disappointed with the food as it was extremely salty. The scrambled eggs tasted as if a teaspoon of salt was dumped upon them. The scrambled eggs were not throughly warm. The biscuits & sausage gravy consisted of 2 biscuits with a small amount of milk gravy and a 2x2” extremely thin piece of dried out sausage coated in salt. The menu said it was served with a sunny side up egg and when I requested a scrambled egg instead the server said she didn’t know if they could do that. She never got back to us after placing order, but the egg did appear scrambled when served. We had to request refills on coffee too. We had $2 mimosas that were okay.
We were entertaining an out of town guest on her birthday and were embarrassed by our selection of LouVino’s as none of us had any positive remarks.
Excellent service and food!!
Went there for dinner with out of town guests. They are both gluten free, and at first did not see those options available. However, they had the salmon and loved it! We tried several shareable plates and found all delicious.
Good service and a great ambiance.
First couple courses good. Soft shell crab too salty ...And I love salt. Fois gras was fried hard like calves liver. I think might have been better to order more ordinary midwestern dishes.
Delicious and unique menu. Wines by the glass were a little limited but not a deal breaker. Love this place and will be back.
The lemon lavender Titos Vodka martini was great, and the private room had a great view of Mass Ave. The food portions were small.
Great atmosphere in a terrific location with excellent food and wine options!
Wonderful in every way. Do not miss the shrimp and grits and the fried chicken tacos. Everything we tried was delicious. The service was fantastic. All in all, a perfect evening.
Nice location. Sat upstairs, which I think makes life hard on the servers. Food came out inconsistently to our table. Some items never arrived. Food was generally good.
I had been here one time prior for brunch with my mom and we had excellent service and food! So I was excited to take some friends there. However, Yesterday was a disappointment. The farmer’s choice had tomatoes and goat cheese, that was it. Presentation was not good with food coming out on tiny plates (last time I was there it was nicely done) and two of us waited for our food while the others were served so they waited to eat. Cold eggs aren’t so exciting. Our waiter was nice but we noticed at the bar the staff was drinking the mimosas right in the open area...not so professional. I know that goes on but probably should be behind the scenes. It will probably be some time before I choose to eat there again.
The ambiance was really nice and the food was terrific! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back myself!
Had a great experience.
The food was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!
Our service was horrible. The waiter wasn’t attentive at all (we were an 11 top party). Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name. Brunch was decent. The portions aren’t huge and while the menu looks exciting, the taste was pretty average. Overall decent, but not sure I’d go back for brunch
We were sat in a separate room so 9 of us could sit together. We were all disappointed because 4 separate entrees were out and whiskey. My friend is GF and they were out of an entree, they were going comp her meal but ended up just giving her 50% off.
Unfortunately, they were out of many items on the menu, including wine and alcohol selections. Menu is small to begin with, due to the high quality produced, and they were out at 630pm on a Saturday of meat items, desserts and appetizers. Just ended up asking what was available rather than going back and forth. Probably will not return, even though Madison did a great job serving.
A great new addition to Mass Ave! Excellent food and service. Highly recommended
Food was amazing, service was great. Really loved it. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful space and we had excellent service. Food was inventive, but didn't always hit the mark.
Very yummy brunch! Have visited several times and enjoyed everything. Breakfast corn dogs, breakfast tacos, biscuit board, eggs Benedict, $2 Mimosas or $15 for the whole bottle :-)
I love LouVino and have been there several times for drinks and dinner. We went there for brunch on Saturday and had a reservation. For some reason, we were seated upstairs in the midst of several large parties, and it was just not the same experience. There were empty tables downstairs so I’m not sure why we had to go upstairs. The food and service were still excellent, but our time there wasn’t as enjoyable as it was hard to hear anything but the very large party and the other party. I had told my daughter several times how much I love LouVino, and I was disappointed that her experience wasn’t the same as all my previous ones because of where we were sitting.
We had a great experience & they were very accommodating for our large group. Everyone enjoyed their food but be prepared for it to be smaller plates.
Beautiful restaurant with very good food but the wine selection was my favorite part.
Elevated comfort food with twist
Must have is the eggs Benedict
Out for a reunion with high school girlfriends :) waitress was amazing, food was amazing, and the atmosphere was outstanding!
Overall a very pleasant meal. Good food, interesting cocktails and excellent service. My only issue, and this is common with most small plate / tapas style restaurants, is the size of the tables; they’re just not big enough to get the 2-3 small plates you have at a time on them. Other than that, a great experience and will definitely go back.
We chose to order off of the menu for couples. One appetizer (chef’s pick), your choice of four small plates, and the cookie dough stuffed beignets for $60. PLENTY of food for two people. We also ordered some of the steak frites to share which were very tasty but probably not necessary. All the food was delicious. Our favorites were the tots and the sliders. Yum. The drinks were also outstanding. We each ordered a Woodford Manhattan and they were so good that we ended up ordering a second round which definitely racked up the bill. Ambiance was great although we weren’t fans of the communal seating at some of the tables. Overall, delicious food and excellent. Probably our new favorite on Mass Ave. We will be back!
From the moment we walked into the place until 3 hours later, we were totally in love with the ambience, the knowledgeable waitress, to the superb quality of the wines and food. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Unlike some places, we never felt rushed or pressured to leave, which really enhanced our experience. We had actually wanted to go to another restaurant, but they did not have reservations until after 8 pm. So happy I found LouVino's instead, Kudos!
Paul is by far the greatest bar tender we have ever met. He’s incredibly personable and caters drinks to your flavor preference. We have been return customers of his for over a year now and followed when he moved to LouVino. It helps that LouVinos food is phenomenal and the chicken tacos are my favorite food in Indy!
The food was good. The soft shell crab was great but served on too big a portion of potato salad.
