It was a great surprise! We went there for our anniversary and we enjoyed every dish we ordered! We wasn't expecting to like it that much because the menu is not so big but it was a nice surprise to find a great place so close to our home. We ordered the Salmon and the rack of Lamb. Both delicious and also big portions. For appetizer we shared the calamari which was very good. Again, everything was good from the appetizer to the dessert! Also the service was pretty good too! Very friendly. Thank you for a great time. We are coming back for sure!

Went for wife's birthday. Recommended by a friend. Nice decor. Not many people at the time. Reasonably quiet. Very good waiter. Very good food. We will go back. Only issue is where to park.

Food was good. Very loud atmosphere for a date night. Horrible experience with the rude valet attendant. Husband and I walked out to our keys laying on the floor while the attendant was parking other cars. Annoyed, we walked to get our own car that was parked on Hawthorne Blvd. with wheels touching the curb. We probably will not go here again because of the bad experience with the valet.

For people who care about what they eat, this is the place for you. The menu lists "wild" salmon--not just salmon. If the beef is "grass fed," it will be listed as such. Waiter will tell you which selections are organic, and menu lists some gluten-free items. They recently started a Sunday brunch. I love their food and have eaten there six times in the last 45 days.

If I owned a restaurant, I would not like to be reviewed as "ok". It was our second time there we had been at the restaurant during the soft opening and it seemed better then. There was nothing wrong with the restaurant but nothing terrific. The calamari appetizer was very strange, served poached in a lukewarm butter/garlic sauce.

Lou's had a nice vibe, I expected a view since it's Lou's on the Hill, but no view from inside. The drinks were delicious (Bertoux) and the service was good. For a starter we had the Salumi Board and we weren't impressed, for dinner I had the Seafood Linguine and it was wonderful, large perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp & clams- my husband had the Mahi Mahi & that was exceptional, the sauce was amazing. Lou's is a nice spot for a special occasion and we were disappointed that they didn't do anything for birthday's. Overall, a very nice experience.

Tried this place last week after seeing it on my drive for months. Atmosphere was nice with a live 2 man band who sounded great without overpowering the place. Food was very good, especially the eggplant, pizza and risotto. Desserts were very delicious as well especially the house made bread pudding. I will be going back! Great little bar scene for over the over 30 crowd too.

Overall the food was just okay but not for the price they charge. Menu seemed promising but none of the food we got was executed as really good. The most disappointing was the pizza. Crust was just way too soggy and did not taste good. Ambiance and services was great but food needs some work

We went for lunch. I ordered Margherita pizza and my husband had penne. When my pizza came out it smelled like memories from childhood (and not good ones).... Chef Boyardee. My husband's penne was just ok. The service was fine. Not going back.

I had been here before with a party of 6 a year ago & the food was amazing. Because the food was so good I wanted to come back for a special occasion. Mistake! I made a reservation for 8 for my husband's birthday. He thought it was just the 2 of us going to dinner but I was surprising him with other couples meeting us for dinner. When I confirmed the reservation I reminded them that it was husband's birthday & asked if they could do anything to acknowledge it. I was told they would decorate the table with streamers, they didn't. When we got to Lou's, the other couples were seated at the table waiting for us. We walked in & the host continued to stare at her seating chart on her iPad & never looked up at us. I was afraid my husband would see the other couples before she ever greeted us so after a couple minutes I quietly said, "I see our party" & walked past her to the table. The server, eventually came to the table to ask if we wanted drinks & said he would be right back with our drinks, waters, & to tell us about the specials. 10 min later, he still hadn't returned so we had to ask someone else for help. We only got water. We finally flagged him down 5 minutes later & asked him to tell us the specials, he said he'd be right back. 5 min later he came back & told us the specials & that he'd be back to take our order. 10 min later we had to flag him down again to ask where our drinks were & to PLEASE take our order. While waiting for food people ordered more drinks, that never came until we flagged him down 10 min later & asked where they were. When dinner came out we got 7 of the 8 meals ordered! They forgot to make 1! We all finished our meals before the last meal came. Server said he would bring dessert menus, never did. He brought my husband ice cream with a candle, nice! It had nuts...he's allergic and was never told there were nuts. Luckily he saw them before eating! We had to get up to find someone to take our $ so we could leave. 3 hours just for dinner!
