My manager and his team took me to lunch there this week for my birthday. Wow, what a view! We sat outside and it was glorious! Our server was extremely attentive, and was patient with our special requests. The food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner. We had a tremendous experience at Lou's and will definitely be back!
As much as I’d like to the music, it was way too loud for those sitting nearby. It would’ve been so much better had he not been amplified or at least turn down, especially for those sitting inside near him. The loudness, though the music was great , Took away from the peacefulness of dining.
Great service and excellent food. We will return often.
The newly built restaurant is six months old at the Papago GC off of McDowell. It affords huge vistas of the Papago Buttes and “wide open spaces.” A great feature are huge glass door garage doors that fully open and create a feel of an indoor/outdoors when weather is optimum. The menu is varied. My friend tasted two samples of soups. She choose the Southest green chili chowder. It is a fun place, variety of appetizers to heavier entrees. There is something for everyone. Friendly service and convenient to be on Open Table for reservations. A new destination place to enjoy open spaces in an encroaching crowded urban environment.
What a hidden gem! Beautiful scenery AND a live band?!? I can’t believe we’ve never been here before! This is going to become a regular stop for us because it’s close to Tempe (ASU) when we visit our daughter. Come for the food, stay for the ambience. 5+
Employees are friendly, courteous and watchful. Dawn was cheerful and served our party of three well. The Ribs sauce is smokey sweet and the meat tender. The Salmon salad was crisp and the fish moist and flavorful. Drinks were made to order. The evening was chilly so live music was inside raising the noise level a bit, though not uncomfortable to have conversation. We changed our original table position due to the light intensity at sundown....shades might be a helpful idea. Overall, a super place to hang, drink and eat.
Fish and chips were way over cooked - service staff knew but still served as they indicated it looked too done and they would redo it after a few bites it was too rough.
The place is very nice and the views are tremendous. The music was too loud for easy conversation, however.
Once again, poor service. Left word with Dir. Hope to see change. Ask server to check back in your frequently, or you won't see him or her for 20-30 mins.
Poor service. Our second time here. Wait staff need to be trained in customer service. Waited 20 mins for ice tea refill. Requested heaters to be turned on, and it took 15 mins. No one came back to ask about our food. Had to track server down to get bill. Would be nice to have the manager walk around and ask how you are. There were at least 5 dirty plates around the fire pits. So much potential here, just need to hire the right management and get servers with experience.
My sister’s and went for breakfast to celebrate two of their birthdays. They loved the views and thought the food was good. Our served Brittany was very sweet as well.
We had brought friends with us to the Phoenix area for a couple of days and wanted something casual, yet nice to impress in their first time in town. This was he perfect place. Food was decently priced and good. Ambience was very cool. The service was slow at first, but got better. Our server was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!
Though the food did not thrill me, the view towards the Papago Buttes and the setting of the restaurant make Lou's worthy of another visit.
Beautiful location. Unexpected great food. Hidden back by the golf course. Worth a visit!
Good happy hour menu. Lovely views
Had space heaters so.comfortable outside.
Great street tacos.
Went here after Zoo Lights! Great ambiance. Beautiful interior AND exterior. Would be amazing setting to watch sunset! Had the fish tacos (3), which were very tasty! Great service. Highly recommend.
This restaurant is a bit hard to find. The open space makes it rather chilly since there are multiple openings. The food is ok, but not special.
Met with some friends for drinks and snack at Happy Hour. Their Happy Hour did NOT disappoint!! And the view is outstanding! Will go again!!!!
We had dinner prior to visiting the Botanical Gardens on a Thursday night. The new place has a comfortable casual setting, indoor/outdoor seating area and bar area. Beautiful red rock Papago boulders as the sun set. Highly recommend a visit.
They had just opened a couple days earlier and the restaurant is beautiful inside and out! Lots of patio seating overlooking the golf course but was still a little warm out so we ate inside. Food was delicious, very nice server and really appreciated one of the chefs coming to check on us! They have a much better than average menu for a golf course, we will be back again.
