Our 9th trip to Sint Maarten, this is the second consecutive trip we've dined at L'Oursin and simply put, we'll definitely plan to dine there again on our next trip. The setting, service and food are all exceptional. Thanks for a great evening!

Not a fan of the fine dining menu. We had the red snapper for two and we had so many bones we had to pick out that I finally stopped eating my meal. We prefer the prior menu. We visit LaSamana every visit for our last dinner before going home as it is a real treat, but this year was a disappointment. Please know the service was outstanding but the meal was a disappointment.

Their location on Baie Longue nestled on the hillside in a lush setting is spectacular and the view from the dining room at sunset is worth the trip in and of istelf. Awesome staff, attentive service with amazing food and drinks make it one of the best, if not the best, restaurant on the island. Our waiter, obviously new (needed help processing the check), was still incredible and with the exception of the restaurant being out of both the dessert, the coconut mousse, and Limoncello, the apertif I ordered to go with my dessert, the rest of the meal and evening was perfect.

Excellent experience for the location and service. The food was very good and tasty however the pork was not to my liking. Unacceptable to charge a liter of water € 10 because this price is not justified neither by the place nor by the restaurant. There is no a menu for waters but you are buond to take the water that they give us. Water is always water.

This is the restaurant at La Samanna and you would really think it would be so much better considering how spectacular the resort is. But unfortunately not. Food is average at best and not worth the prices. It has been this way for years. Take a pass and move onto Grand Case if you want a great meal.

The food was mediocre at best, and the server needed reminders to bring basics like water. The wahoo was on the dry side and the lamb very fatty. Wines were pricey for what they were. We don’t mind paying for excellent food and libations, but this place wouldn’t last long in the states.

What a shame! Have you ever paid more than 25€ for a starter consisting of a just roasted goat cheese on crusty bread? With no spice or else. Just like if my so nice best friend would make in her kitchen - but she has no cooking skill. I can also let you imagine how were the dishes. We just leave the table without getting to the end of our dinner. About 200$ to eat, worse than in our kitchen. Bye bye.

Wonderful waiter, Axel but the food was deplorable. It was as if Hurricane Irma swept away all their chefs, and the bellboys were cooking (yes, they were missing also.) The four of us ordered 4 different entrees. The duck was dry, the snapper was ttasteless and in a weird brown gravy, the mussels were overcooked and the shrimp tasteless. Apparentlt, the sommelier was non existant also. We asked for the check before dessert so we could drive to another restaurant and salvage dessert for a planned proposal. Axel wrote us a note of apology and waived our bill. We tipped him handsomely and left. Will not return.

The setting is outstanding. The staff very attentive and kind although we sometimes got asked the same questions twice by different people. The food is beautifully presented and delicious. There were some issues with the wine we wanted and cocktails we wanted not being available. There was also no lobster available. All in all a wonderful place to visit with a gorgeous view.

We stayed at the La Sammana for 4 nights. This is the only restaurant open for dinner. Overall it really wasnt that great. Lobster the first night was chewy and stale. Duck was over sauced. Everything seemed to feature quinoa. Nothing as colorful as shown on website. We recognize that they are still recovering from the storm, but not up to Belmond standards.
