In our modern day culture of immediacy and convenience where chain restaurants, fast food and instant gratification are the norm, we find ourselves craving the out of the ordinary, the unique, the thoughtful destination. We want to feel adventurous and be treated special. And at HERE we aim to do just that.

The lounge, owned by Julie Doyle and Tim DeLaughter — founders of musical groups Tripping Daisy, The Polyphonic Spree, and local fave store, Good Records (next door), promises to whisk guests away into another place and time.

The decor at HERE is inviting and chic: casual enough for your post work happy hour and yet dapper enough to channel your inner mad men cocktail party. The room features a large photo mural by Rainer Judd, daughter of artist Donald Judd, adding a touch of Marfa to the space which has been a long time inspiration and continued friendship.

Lounge Here is the perfect neighborhood bar/restaurant. The food is fantastic, they have a variety of unique drinks (my fav is the No 5), and the service is spot on. I love the mid-century modern decor, and the shrimp and arugula salad is one of my favorite salads in the city. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

The ultimate in the neighborhood spot that everyone loves. Fun urban mid-mod vibe in a cozy space with pretty lively late bar activity but not a huge crush. Cocktails are the most fun, wine list is accessible and interesting. Food menu is great though I ask humbly if they could bring themselves to put a steak on the menu. Service is always efficient and just friendly enough.

We arrived early at 5pm, so it was pretty quiet and our server took our order immediately. There were only really other people at the bar because it was Friday Happy Hour. The service was great, the food was exceptional and we really enjoyed it. By 6pm when we left, the restaurant was starting to get crowded so I would recommend going early. We love Lounge Here!

2 servers in the entire restaurant is not a good thing. It took 2 hours for dinner. Server was rude at first but then realized it. Would go again for the food and ambience only

This was our first time at Here, beautiful venue, reminds me a cool Palm Springs bars. Service was excellent, cocktails were great. The food was good but could have been hotter with more flavor. I ordered the fish which could have been cooked a bit better and the sauce was just room temperature. We will definitely go back and give it another chance. A great neighborhood find.

Lounge Here never disappoints. This was our first brunch visit and we were met with the same quality service, food and beverages that we have come to expect. The vibe is unmatched in Dallas and the attentive, yet laid back, service makes for an incredible experience every time.

We loved our waiter. So disappointed that it was his last night but we were a table of sailors so we got to talk to him about sailing adventures. We had been long time Sunday nighters, but had stopped when there was such a staffing turnover and staff didn’t seem to want to developer relationships with regulars. Last night was enjoyable and will come back and try to get the old feel back.

Nice quaint place in Lake Highlands. Small menu. Everyone seemed to like there food and drinks. I think it's a little overpriced for the quality of the food. Otherwise it was nice.

The food was delicious!! I moved away a few years ago and was just visiting for the weekend. It was one of my favorite places when I lived in Forest Hills. It is even better now! Absolutely loved our waiter - he even took time to bring us the bottle of wine so we could take a picture of the label.

We had such a great time at Lounge Here. Ashley took great care of us. She was very patient with my friend who always asks servers 1,000 questions. We had the charcuterie plate, always delightful, and I had a redfish special which was terrific. I finished with lemon icebox pie, also wonderful. I love how everyone there is trained to pick up dirty plates or pour water as they walk by. Such a great spot.

It's a gorgeous spot - the finish out, the layout, the vibe, all of that is awesome. The food is pretty good, the service is a little standoffish which isn't the end of the world. Cocktails are awfully pricey ($17.50 for a smallish martini). All in all, it's definitely worth a visit for the ambiance, and certainly compared to the other upscale restaurant options in the White Rock area, it's near the top for food quality.

I used to really enjoy this place, but it is going downhill. We had to wait over 10 minutes after being sat to be greeted. The drinks were ok, I was sad to learn that their head bartender left. I brought 2 of my friends here who had never been so I ordered all of my favorites for them to try. We did 3 apps and 3 entrees to split between the 3 of us. Everything was delivered to the table at the same time. We barely had room for all the plates. By the time we got to try everything plates were getting cold. I mentioned something to both the server and manager and they didn’t seem to care. In addition to the horrible service, when I got the bill there is now a “non-cash” charge automatically added. When I asked the manager she said that it is something that they started doing and that a lot of restaurants are doing it! I’m not sure where, I eat out 3-5 times per week and I have not run into this once. Sorry to see a neighborhood favorite struggling, but I’ll take my $400 somewhere else next time.
