In our modern day culture of immediacy and convenience where chain restaurants, fast food and instant gratification are the norm, we find ourselves craving the out of the ordinary, the unique, the thoughtful destination. We want to feel adventurous and be treated special. And at HERE we aim to do just that.

The lounge, owned by Julie Doyle and Tim DeLaughter — founders of musical groups Tripping Daisy, The Polyphonic Spree, and local fave store, Good Records (next door), promises to whisk guests away into another place and time.

The decor at HERE is inviting and chic: casual enough for your post work happy hour and yet dapper enough to channel your inner mad men cocktail party. The room features a large photo mural by Rainer Judd, daughter of artist Donald Judd, adding a touch of Marfa to the space which has been a long time inspiration and continued friendship.

Just TOO LOUD for conversation on this visit (7PM reservations). Couldn’t even hear the waiter describing the specials. Other than that, Lounge Here can be depended on for innovative, outstanding food and drinks. we will dine there again – – but probably not at such a peak hour .

I have dined at Lounge here a few times before and have always had a positive experience so I’m hoping this was an isolated incident. I made a reservation weeks in advance for a group of 6 for a friends bday. We arrive on time and it took about 30 min for us to get our drink order placed and received. Our server did tell us he was new so we gave him so Grace there, but 30 min for 6 basic cocktails seems like a long time. We went ahead and ordered food/apps together since it we weren’t getting much service from our waiter. I never got my fries that I ordered and it wasn’t even worth hounding the waiter down for them. When our server came back I started to ask him about dessert options and he turned around and walked away before I could finish asking my question. Server was very inattentive and did not provide the level of service that patrons expect from Lounge Here. He probably won’t last long.

We had the Airline chicken and the chicken fried ribeye. Both were excellent. The chicken was fork tender, juicy with a rich savory flavor. The ribeye was very tender and moist. The gravy was good if just a little bland, but that may be by design. My Tanquery dry martini with a lemon twist was perfectly mixed and deliciously cold. We finished with the flourless chocolate cake and key lime pie. Both were perfect. Service was excellent on a Saturday night. Overall a great dining experience.

We had a 530 reservation for 4. The table was waiting for us. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cocktails were so yummy! I personally enjoyed the espresso martini! We had appetizers and shared. Then skipped dinner and moved onto dessert! Key lime pie and oatmeal cream pies were our favorites!

Food was decent but the wait staff was noticeably bad. The food runner came out multiple times and placed plates on top of plates already on the table. Waitress made several errors with our order and was unaware of what was in their inventory. Thank goodness the Here Burger was good or I would have had a horrible experience. This place has diminished in quality over the years. I hope they train or hire better staff because I would hate to see this place go.

It's my second time to dine there. The Here Burger is the best burger in the DFW area. Great ambience for a first, 2nd. or 100th date. Staff is sweet and attentive as always. Make reservations. They fill up. Well worth every penny.

If you haven’t been here before you are really missing out. Great energy, great staff, fantastic food. Bartenders are amazing. Make reservations and then go early for a cocktail! Can’t recommend this spot enough.

The Lounge Here is one of our favorite spots in Dallas for excellent drinks, consistently good food, and a great vibe. This was our first time experiencing poor service. Our server was absent and aloof, and we waited entirely too long for our order to be taken, both food and drinks, and for our check to be processed. Everything else was fantastic and we will continue to return, hoping that this was an anomaly.

I was disappointed in the halibut with succotash. There was no succotash and the halibut was over cooked. The halibut wax sitting on a bed of diced potatoes in a heavy cream sauce. When I had it before, the halibut was perfect and the succotash was delicious. The deviled eggs on the other hand were delicious! I will be back, but I will ask about the succotash before I order.

First visit: We came for date night and had a wonderful time!!! I have been following on IG forever and finally had the perfect occasion to come. Definitely a hidden gem. We started with signature cocktails that were both amazing. The deviled eggs were scrumptious! For entrees, she had the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken and I had the Mushroom Bolognese Pasta and both were perfect! Service was immaculate and décor was soothing and inviting. I will definitely be back.

As always, The Lounge Here did not disappoint. The Oliver’s Travels cocktail is perfect for summer, and I ordered the rainbow trout special. Oatmeal cookie with ice cream for dessert was delicious! My wife had chicken Cesar salad and fries with her favorite cocktail, the No. 5. Couldn’t have been a better night!

This is a hidden gem. The food is excellent as is the service. This is unlike any restaurant in Dallas. It’s low key and yet all the things you want. Conversation flows - we took 4 new people last night and, I had really talked it up before hand. They said it did not disappoint!!! They will all go back again. Well done you, Lounge Here!!!

Lots of fun - great bartender and food good. Great vibe and you could tell people were having fun. Only thing disappointing was the weird vanilla ice cream, made with buttermilk. $20 for chocolate chip cookie and yucky ice cream.
