Louisiana Lagniappe has some of the best food in the area and our meals were excellent. We ordered shrimp & grits, stuffed shrimp and bayou grouper. All were great. What wasn’t great was the astounding amount of noise throughout the restaurant. We asked to be reseated from a side room to the main dining room and that helped a bit until 2 large tables got very loud there. We saw several other other diners ask to be reseated also. Several Us chatted upon leaving and we all agreed the noise level really negatively impacted all our dinners. We were comped a couple drinks by the awesome bar tender but no other management was doing anything to help. I really doubt that we’ll be back.

I completely understand how having a larger / louder party seated close by can ruin one's experience. The overwhelming majority of our larger tables and/or groups (& their hosts) understand how important it is to keep the volume at an acceptable level at all times, so everyone around them can enjoy their visit / dinner as well. Unfortunately, the day of your visit (at certain times), the overall volume level was higher than normal. I'm truly sorry for that. We hope to see you again in the future. Always consistently excellent. We went on a Saturday for our anniversary. I had the blackened scallops on the advice of the friendly server. They were on a bed of grilled pineapple with a clear sauce. Light and delicious! My husband had the baked oysters, his favorite food, which did not disappoint. Friends of ours phoned in a surprise from out of state (wine and dessert) clueing me in a few minutes before. The server pulled it off without a hitch. One dessert was free for the occasion. Class act!

We have eaten at the Destin location many times and it has always been exceptional. This was our 1st time at the Orange Beach location and although the food was good, it was not exceptional. Our meal was warm, not hot and the Meuniere sauce was not nearly as rich tasting as we have had before. Service was extremely slow and we were mostly ignored by our server.

We visit Louisiana Langiappe every year when we come to the beach. This year, we were sat in the smaller room to the right of the main dining area, where there were two larger groups seated as well. It was EXTREMELY loud due to the small space and larger groups. It was very disappointing that we couldn’t even talk amongst ourselves at a round table with 6 people due to the noise level. It was the first trip for my grandparents to this restaurant and not the experience I wanted them to have. The food and service was top notch as always!

Dear Shelby, I'm very sorry your last visit was not to your satisfaction. I completely understand how having a larger / louder party next to your table can ruin one's diner experience. Our side room (Fireplace Room) has been "to go" place for smaller parties up to 25 guests for the last 24 years. Majority of our smaller groups (& their hosts) truly understands how important it is to keep the volume at an acceptable level, so everyone there can enjoy their visit as well. Unfortunately, at the day of your visit the volume level in the Fireplace Room was much higher than normal. I'm truly sorry for that. The food and service was excellent. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and he was given a free dessert, which was nice. The only complaints was the food was a little pricey, but the main complaint was the restaurant was incredibly noisy.

Our waitress was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. She also spilled a drink on one of our guests and did not even bother apologizing. Some of the food had clearly sat in the kitchen for a long time, as it was served room temperature, and sauces had coagulated. When we discussed the experience with the manager, she did offer free dessert, but the service was so poor that we did not wish to stay any longer. Additionally, the server hand wrote a 20% tip on our copies of our credit card receipts. I’m accustomed to automatic gratuity, but this was not that.

Louisiana Lagniappe was the perfect spot for my husband and I’s date night. The food was delicious. Our waiter recommended the fish special and my husband said it was the best fish he’s ever had. We would definitely go back if we lived around here.

Our table enjoyed a variety of meals this night and they were all spectacular! Don’t skip the crab / corn chowder and the hush puppies! The service was amazing and our server so attentive. One in our group left her Amex in the folder after paying and the server hunted us down while we were shopping next door to return! He could have easily left it at the front desk for us to have returned the next day but he went above and beyond. That’s true customer service! I’m so sorry that his name has slipped us but he knows what kindness he shared Tues at dinner. Thank you and we’ll be back next trip!

We have eaten here many times. I had the crab cakes. They are the best I have ever had. I always get them when I come here. The twice baked potato is very good. It’s very rich. My husband got the pineapple blackened shrimp. He has gotten it the last three times we have come here. He says it’s very good. We come here often it’s very elegant and we love this place. We have been coming here over 20 years. Highly recommend!

We’ve done that Louisiana lagniappe for years this time even though we made a reservation more than a week in advance, our table placement was not good and we were between two large parties all night and couldn’t hear each other very well. Food was great. Service was adequate did not like our table placement didn’t we’re not able to enjoy the view that is available at other tables, but will be back.

We try our best every day but, in your case, we obviously failed to deliver our signature "Lagniappe experience". The table you were seated at (#89) is very easily fixed by a plastic table wedge. We love both Louisiana Lagniappe restaurants the one in Destin, Fl and here in Orange Beach, Al we were extremely disappointed this time with the food which is usually exceptional. The hush puppies were overdone and hard. The salad was wilted and had a lot of brown pieces in it. My grouper almondine was swimming in butter. Overall the food was okay but not as good as usual. The service was okay too. Need to pay more attention to our needs.

Great restaurant. We eat here every time we visit South Coast. Everyone wants a window table. We got tired of listening to people complain about not getting one. There are only a few, just enjoy the great food and surroundings. The hostess did an amazing job of deflecting those who wanted “special” treatment.

I had noted on my reservation that it was a birthday and it was never mentioned at the restaurant. The food was amazing as always and we had the best Busser! She was so pleasant, helpful and all around amazing! Our actual waitress was not great. We love Louisiana Lagniappe but the service was not what we are accustomed to.
