The food was outstanding! Favorite place in the Twin Cities. We ordered four dishes and ate family style plus appetizers and each and everyone was exceedingly delicious- the kind of food you cannot put your fork down even when full.

So happy with Louis. I was pleasantly surprised on the night of our reservation; it was packed with Frozen Four attendees vying for a table and our reservation for two was honored and right there waiting for us. When they easily could have given it away to a larger party.
Then the service and authentic Italian cuisine was impeccable. I had linguini con vongole which I had had in Venice Italy just a few months prior and it was spot on. There is much to this restaurant with several floors and an awesome Italian pastierre and market on the first floor what a great find. Measures up to anything you'll find in NYC or Boston's North End.

Fantastic meal. Our server was awesome making sure we felt important with 2 large parties as well. Worked well around my dairy allergy too. Strongly recommend a reservation.

One of the BEST in St. Paul. Ingredients 100% the best quality, food is exceptional and 100% worth the price if willing to pay. We LOVE the market downstairs as well. I'd imagine the best in the region!

This was our second time there and we were celebrating a friend's birthday. The suggestion was ours, since we had such an amazing time the previous time we dined there. The service was awesome, the food amazing and the atmosphere was the perfect vibe for our friend's birthday celebration.

Food and drinks were delicious! But the noise level was very loud. Made it difficult to have a conversation.

We took our sons and spouses here for two of their birthdays and one anniversary. While the overall bill was quite high it was a great atmosphere and the food was great. I thought the spare ribs I had were exceptional but the overall amount of food was small.

If ever we return to St. Paul, we will surely plan to go to Louis. The food was really good, the portions hefty. The service was top notch. The tiramisu was the crowning item of the meal.

Had an excellent meal- very good, professional and accommodating staff! I had the bolognese the first day - and enjoyed it. returned a few days later and had the orchietta with broccoli rabe and sausage. it was delicious but could have used more rabe.

We’ve been to Louie’s a number of times, typically before Wild games. We often order the chicken parm. This time the chicken was over cooked, brown with the consistency of rubber. It was one of the worst meals we’ve ever had and easily the worst meal we’ve ever had a Louie’s. The manager came over and asked us how our meal was. We explained that the chicken was terrible and asked if they’d starting using different chicken. He said no. He again asked how it was. Well, it hasn’t changed in 30 seconds since the first time he asked. He didn’t ask if he could make us a new dish. He didn’t remove it from our bill. He did absolutely nothing knowing very well the meal was terrible.

Awesome!! Absolutely amazing food! Waitress remembers my wine bottle every time I come back. Good service!

Great service - both when I sat at the bar, and again when I moved to a table. Food was excellent as always, will return next time I'm DT St. Paul.

We had a wonderful time as a family celebrating birthdays! The food was delicious and the service even better!!

Loved our meal and the service was great. Only challenge was hearing the other couple we were with across the table and the cold air coming from the door to the patio. The delicious food made up for those inconveniences.

Wonderful experience

We are from Pittsburgh and Louis is one of our favorite restaurants in the twin cities. We go every time we are in town.

I made a reservation here to celebrate a birthday party and everything turned out fabulous. The server stopped by at an appropriate frequency (not too little and not too often : D) to make sure all of our needs were met. The food was outstanding! I had the bolognese and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion!

Our children:grandchildren gave a pkg to us for Christmas which included the Wild game, hotel stay, & this restaurant. Was handy as walking distance for all

I've been to Louis before and had a great experience and fabulous food. This time, however, I was sadly disappointed in my meal. When the server asked if I wanted a box for the remainder of my meal, I explained that the chicken was really dry. She removed the charge for the meal and offered to bring something else right away. FYI - I was dining with a friend and her meal was delicious.

We went to Louis to celebrate a couple of belated birthdays. Our reservation was ready for us, and the atmosphere was beautiful. Our servers were delightful. The food was excellent and we were amazed by the large portions. Everyone in our group of 5 loved their meal. Wine was very affordable!

We were seated at a back table by the patio door. They were setting up for St. Patricks Day and kept opening the door to the outside and we would get a rush of cold air everything. Not great.

pre concert dinner and drinks. was a bit disappointed with the hostess and the welcoming. our server left our dirty dishes on our table while we finished our bottle of wine for over 30 minutes.

We enjoyed our meal very much. I was a bit disconcerted when we arrived at 6:30 PM, the noise level was VERY LOUD!!! There was a concert at XCel that night and I think that many of the diners and people at the bar were excited and all talked very loud. We could not hear each other talk across our table. That is a problem, in my book. However, after about an hour, most of those people had left and then it was very pleasant. The food was very good and the service was excellent.

Loved the convenience of a valet. Food was good and good selection. I would have liked to have tried one of the veal entrees but were pricey. My pasta was very good
