Louie's Wine Dive & Ripple Kitchen
We have always enjoyed Louie's. However, Saturday eve not so much. My wife and I felt that we were definitely left off the radar. The host person ended up being our server. He had multiple tables and host duties. Everything took forever. We asked for a bottle of wine with our dinner, we were 75% done before we got the wine. We asked for additional bread with our charcuterie as it tends to run short. We never got that. Not sure what happened, but it was not the same at all. If they are too busy to handle the load, don't take reservations. The food was good and the wine was excellent. Service at the bar looked great.
Always a nice time. Good variety of small plates to pick from. The more the merrier. Great for sharing.
My best friend and I came here for brunch to celebrate her birthday. Food was decent. I got the carne Asada tacos and she got the avo omelet. Service was pretty slow, we got our food after 50 minutes....overall I would try this restaurant again but not for brunch.
Although I dispute the one cheese they thought was smoked blue (tasted like smoked fetta), it was still good. The rest of the food and drinks we had were wonderful. Service was very attentive without being overbearing . Love the decor of the place. Drinks and wines are a little pricy, but not out of the norm for the area and the brands offered.
Very nice restaurant. Waitress seemed confused about most things and all our food came out separately
Always a great experience! The menu is unique and have great specials. Good wine & draft beer selection. Did not leave disappointed!
Gluten Free cheese curds and calamari were amazing...restaurant was a little warm but exactly food.
I usually have a nice time at the wine bar. Unfortunately this occasion did not go so well. They were only putting people in one section and did not allow anyone to sit outside on a nice evening. We were doing the wine and bruschetta after 8 o’clock for $20, we asked for the The only white wine on the menu and they were out. We asked if they had a substitute considering it was the only white on their 8 o’clock menu and they did not offer any. We decided to go with Malbec it was very delicious. Our server was very inexperienced do not know how to open a wine bottle wine, forgot glasses, forget side dishes for appetizers and when the bruschetta came the toppings were not complete and different. I’m not sure if there’s a new manager or if the wine bar will be closing soon but I feel the quality of food and customer service has declined in the last year.
Very poor this time...service was very poor as if they were not expecting guests
Had good ratings but VERY DISAPPOINTED.
Had great service and great wine! Wish they would expand a little bit more with their cheese and charcuterie options.
came here for brunch with my sisters and we had a great time, our server was the best. The mimosas are amazing. The Cranberry Mimosa was my fave
Great food And waitstaff!
We were visiting from Detroit for a concert. The breakfast was delicious and piping hot. The bacon was cooked just right. I like my food hot and it's rare that it comes that way. The bloody mary and momisos were on point as well. We will visit again.
Great place for gluten-free options. Dedicated fryer for fried foods - HUGE feature. Decent wine list with reasonable prices. Great service. Was very surprised that it was so empty, though it was a Thursday night. Centrally located. Parking was somewhat scarce, probably due to a big event at the Vogue Theater next door. Even has outside seating which would be perfect in good weather. Plan to return again soon!
We were warmly met as we walked in the door and enjoyed attentive service throughout the evening. Nice selection of wine and beer and the food was tasty. I'd like to go back on our next trip to Indy.
Service was absolutely terrible. Waitress was very rude , very embarrassed to bring a large order party there. Everyone was very dissatisfied... took more than 25 minutes
To receive drinks. Would not
Bartender was throwing a temper tantrum during dinner walking out and causing a scene with manager. Waitress didn’t even introduce herself when she greeted us at the beginning. New menu was staples over sections of old menu Food was sub par and tasteless . I feel this place is starting to be poorly ran and is affecting food and service. A shame because I used to like going to this place
Food was great! I had the crab cake benedict, and others at my table enjoyed their food too.
Service, on the other hand, was terrible. It started with our waitress greeting our table by saying brunch was ending in a few minutes and if we didn't order immediately, we'd have to order dinner. She made us feel super rushed and kind of unwelcome. (This was for Mother's Day, we had reservations for brunch albeit at the end of the scheduled time since that's all that was available.) We quickly ordered drinks and food. The restaurant was emptying out from earlier diners so we recieved our food in a timely manner. After the food came, our server disappeared. She came back about 5 minutes into the meal to check on us, and I asked for a refill on my drink, plus a coffee refill for my father. 20 minutes later, still nothing. I had tried to grab her attention, but she never came back to check on us. I asked the manager for the refills, 10 minutes later still nothing. My husband got up and asked the bartender (who was just standing at the bar, no orders in) for my refill. Still nothing for another 10 minutes. My food was cold, everyone else was finished with their meal. My father still hadn't recieved a single refill of coffee. I finally got another server and he was able to get my drink to me after another 10 minute wait. I realize that they were probably very busy for the better part of the morning with brunch and that we were at the end of the rush, but to wait nearly an hour for a drink refill and coffee and to have the server disappear only to show up with a check in her hand (plus her attitude stunk when she did speak to us) was ridiculous. Super unhappy with our time out at Louie's in Broadripple.
Waited 30 minutes for a table when we had reservation. Then we were told they were switching over from brunch to dinner and our appetizers would take a little longer. Took 45 minutes for guacamole and a very small bowl of calamari. So first food we got was an hour and 15 minutes after our reservation time! Then when I complained the waitress got an attitude and practically ran from the table after she served our mostly cold food. Won’t return!
I’ve been to Louis many time and always had great service! However this time it was absolutely terrible. It wasn’t busy at all when several open tables but were not taking ppl because they were “too busy”. We waited 45 minutes for our food. My mother’s omelette was just egg whites with arugula on top. Service was terrible.
We really enjoyed our experience at Louie's. The food was very good and our server was attentive and pleasant. The Brussel sprouts were yummy and my burger was delicious. The only thing I thought was that they skimped a little on the number of fries. Otherwise, excellent!
Nice bistro...always seems to have room for us. Kids enjoy it as well. Their food was quite good...would request more pita next time with charcuterie board. Spicy diablo shrimp was amazing.
Food and drinks were delicious! Service was great! Would definitely come back!
Disappointing. The server wanted nothing to do with us, except to get us served and gone. The food portions were small and sad looking. I felt bad for my out of town guest, who received what looked like a plop of chicken and noodles that had been sitting out all day. Ugh.
We enjoyed our evening at LWD. The food was really good. Service was a bit slow to start the evening but improved as we went along. Soy deviled eggs were excellent as well as Emilys salad and the beignets for dessert. Yumm!
Easter dinner was great. Food was delicious.
Louie's never disappoints!! We live over an hour away and would make the drive anytime to eat at Louie's !
This was a girls company dinner. It was awesome, a great time and team building experience. Love this place and the atmosphere.
You guys were awesome! Even went and got milk at the grocery for our 2 year old. Amazing service!!
My wife was disappointed that two of the featured seasonal menu items were not available and the waiter didn't tell her at the point we ordered but came back with the bad news not once but twice. The manager did speak with us and comped her glass of wine.
We were celebrating a Bachelorette party dinner. Our server was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for better service! Thank you for making this a great evening!
Food was great. Blackened salmon salad was exceptional! Wine selection was good. Beignets were phenomenal! Others enjoyed the trout and the chicken and noodles. Wait staff was attentive and nice.
Really enjoyed it. Will definitely come again.
Service was incredible! We had a big group on St Patrick’s Day. Drinks were served in a timely manner with frequent check-ins and water refills. Food also arrived after a short wait and was delicious!
Great time at Louie’s! We were there to celebrate a birthday and topped off a great meal with complimentary beignets. Great, interesting food for the price. Service was good too!
Such a lovely restaurant! I don't think you can go wrong with anything you may order!
While Louie’s has a fun atmosphere and a good wine selection, the food was only okay.
It is so wonderful to have a great place in Broadripple where you can get a nice glass of wine and the menu has Gluten free options!
