Louie's Chophouse Ratings and Reviews
This little gem was right under my nose for 12 years, ashamed to say it was my first time there. Took the wife there for date night. Steaks were cooked to perfection, loved the seasoning. Service was excellent . The place is a little hidden away, but thanks to yelp, I do believe I found my new stress reliever! Definitely going back, few more items on that menu I want to try out!
We had to wait sometime for our waitress to place a order. Once placed it took a long time for one of guest to get their drink.
The steak one guest ordered was medium rare and he requested well. The hostess stopped by took the steak back and agreed it was medium rare.
Went to Louise's for our 30th anniversary last night. It's our usual place for our anniversary and they never disappoint, tonight was no exception. Christine was our server and she was outstanding. We like Louie's not only because of the food but also because of the service provided and they allow us to have a nice quiet dinner if we choose without being engaged every two or three minutes. Christine's timing last night was perfect. As for the food we opted out of beef for the first time ever at there. We started with a shrimp cocktail which and for huge shrimps...fantastic. We had the French onion soup which was perfect on the cold evening. My wife had the pork chops with apples with wild rice and green beans. I had the ribs with a double baked potato and green beans both were were great. Of course we had to bring some home as we could not finish it.
Thank you for a great dinner for our 30th.
Usually my ratings for this particular venue are much higher. However, for whatever reasons, the food was very disappointing; no seasoning and tasteless. I normally only have salt that is used in cooking but this time, just in order to get any of the food down, I had to add table salt and pepper and wished for more spices. I felt like I was eating at a hospital, in fact. I had a lobster tail as part of my meal and it was the toughest piece of meat I had ever tried to eat. Chewing it actually hurt my teeth! The presentation was lovely--it looked like a twice baked potato, but that's where anything positive about it ended. It was awful!! At $50 m.p. I would expect better. Adding salt, pepper and drawn better didn't begin to help. Most disappointing!
Food was very food and service fairly attentive. We waited awhile for her to pick up the check. It was late and we were trying to get out of there. It's too bad you could drive right by this place without seeing it. It's in a plaza and in a corner. A new sign is desperately needed.
A well kept secret of Oak Lawn Il. This restaurant CAN compete with a Downtown Chicago Atmosphere and serve GREAT Steaks, Ribs, Fish and Pasta creations. REASONABLEY priced and SERVICE that is EXCELLENT! Bonnie was our Server and VERY PROFESSIONAL to say the least. Then again, I have NEVER had a bad experience at LOUIE'S. We celebrate our Christmas Eve Dinners there with the entire family. My wife and I have been there by ourselves just to have a QUIET evening. Excellent Food, Excellent Wine List, Excellent SERVICE! Their Salmon with a Rasberry Sauce was mouthwatering and The Stuffed Pork Chops are not for the faint of heart. SIZABLE is too small a word to describe these babies. I have had their NY STRIP Medium Rare and all I can say is: PERFECT!! You will NOT walk away HUNGRY. Even desert is an eating event. Take my word for it, you will not be disappointed. Before you sit dpwn, stop in to the BAR. It is also an ENJOYABLE experience.
It has been a while since we have been here and we were very pleased at our selections for food and wine. We had the Cunundrum Red blend wine and it was very smooth. My husband had the bone-in ribeye steak and it melted in his mouth. I had the Mediterranean rack of lamb and it was seasoned extremely well. We were happy with the sides and the salads as well. We will have to go back soon, even though it is not close by. Thanks for a great evening out!
I have the oysters for an appetizer and they were excellent I also had the soup of the day it was cream of carrot with ginger and it was outstanding I also had for the main course a bone-in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection overall my experience was phenomenal our server whose name was Keith was very attentive very informative in regard to what they had on the menu and their specials he catered to our every need he was excellent I have never had a bad experience at Louie's Chophouse
We had a great time at our visit to Louie's. The food was great and we were able to visit and talk and did not feel rushed at all. It was a holiday weekend so it was not as crowded as I imagine it normally would be. Our waitress Cindy was excellent too! Would definitely go back again.
