Louie's Chophouse Ratings and Reviews
I had 9:15 pm reservations and arrive around 8:55 pm. My niece and I stood at the counter and waited nearly 15 minutes to be seated although there was no one else there waiting and there were maybe two parties seated and eating. We finally flagged a server who seated us. The server was excellent; very attentive and courteous. I ordered a garden salad that was all lettuce and one tomatoe. I ordered calamari which tasted as if it was cooked in burnt grease. I asked for the rack of lamb which they didn't have. I ordered the bone in t-bone steak which was good. The garlic mashed potatoes wasn't good. The asparagus was good. The reservations were for my birthday but there was no special acknowledgement about the occasion. I have been to this place before and liked it. This time I did not have a positive memorable experience at all.
This little gem was right under my nose for 12 years, ashamed to say it was my first time there. Took the wife there for date night. Steaks were cooked to perfection, loved the seasoning. Service was excellent . The place is a little hidden away, but thanks to yelp, I do believe I found my new stress reliever! Definitely going back, few more items on that menu I want to try out!
We had to wait sometime for our waitress to place a order. Once placed it took a long time for one of guest to get their drink.
The steak one guest ordered was medium rare and he requested well. The hostess stopped by took the steak back and agreed it was medium rare.
Went to Louise's for our 30th anniversary last night. It's our usual place for our anniversary and they never disappoint, tonight was no exception. Christine was our server and she was outstanding. We like Louie's not only because of the food but also because of the service provided and they allow us to have a nice quiet dinner if we choose without being engaged every two or three minutes. Christine's timing last night was perfect. As for the food we opted out of beef for the first time ever at there. We started with a shrimp cocktail which and for huge shrimps...fantastic. We had the French onion soup which was perfect on the cold evening. My wife had the pork chops with apples with wild rice and green beans. I had the ribs with a double baked potato and green beans both were were great. Of course we had to bring some home as we could not finish it.
Thank you for a great dinner for our 30th.
Usually my ratings for this particular venue are much higher. However, for whatever reasons, the food was very disappointing; no seasoning and tasteless. I normally only have salt that is used in cooking but this time, just in order to get any of the food down, I had to add table salt and pepper and wished for more spices. I felt like I was eating at a hospital, in fact. I had a lobster tail as part of my meal and it was the toughest piece of meat I had ever tried to eat. Chewing it actually hurt my teeth! The presentation was lovely--it looked like a twice baked potato, but that's where anything positive about it ended. It was awful!! At $50 m.p. I would expect better. Adding salt, pepper and drawn better didn't begin to help. Most disappointing!
