Server was really nice but very busy and not attentive. Forgot to put in our wine order, lemons for water and didn’t check in too often. Sweet personality though....
The noise level was very high. The cost was much higher than it should have been. Good food but not worth the price.
Very crowded. Service and staff very good.
An excellent dinner with business friends. Food was very good, service fine, good drink selection.
Service was great and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside but its just unfortunate that the street is extremely busy.
Food quality generally is below par. Service is not good. Won't return
Very nice service and plenty of staff. Good food and drinks were great.
Food was excellent, service was dismal
Came here for brunch, our server was great, the food was delicious.
Amazing brunch menu! Food was delicious. The French onion soup is a must have.
I went for dinner. Restaurant was beautiful. Food could use more seasoning. Service was friendly and moderately attentive. I'd like to go back to try bunch or lunch
Such pretty decor
Great food and drinks, with okay service – I think our main server was new, and some of the other helpers were a bit rushed. We dined outside, which was in a very cute space, but it got very loud because of a large party next to us and the tent kind of trapped all the sound. Regardless, we had a very enjoyable meal and evening.
We sat outside. Great weather, but the inside ambiance is much better. Food was great, came out in good time. Seems to be slightly short staffed but during these times that’s expected. Would go again, great place to go.
Setting is always beautiful, staff is terrific in particular or server Avery. Beautiful spot for a nice, special lunch. They went out of their way to give my birthday guest desert.
Comfortable outdoor seating that has servings to protect tables from the rain, but plenty of air flow. Good, rich food. Excellent service.
Great experience and customer service. Will go back again soon.
The staff - from the chef to the servers to the hosts were excellent and so friendly and accommodating. The food and drinks were also amazing.
Extremely slow service, hard to get our server’s attention. Worst martini I’ve ever had, served in a tumbler with olives tossed loosely into the glass. When asked about the cheese plate, our server identified one of the cheeses as “cow’s milk.” The whole cheese plate was a disorganized mess. Flabby skin on the duck confit and roast chicken. We had heard great things about this restaurant and we were deeply disappointed.
We picked this place because of the location near U of P, without any prior knowledge of the place, and we were glad we did! Cocktails...AMAZING! Food...get the truffle fries!!! Really cute place, feels like you're brunching in Paris. Already looking for excuses to go back!
Normally, I enjoy a business lunch but it was disappointing. My onion soup was not hot and the bread special that the waiter recommended was extremely dry. It was also supposed to have sun dried tomatoes which there were two small slices only. My work colleague got the salmon carpiaccio and it was the smallest dish I have ever seen.
My other colleague got the quiche of the day- His was the only thing worthwhile.
My first time there since May 2021 and I was TRULY DISAPPOINTED!
I imagine breakfast to be very good, but lunch was subpar to be sure. The selection is small and the food looked good on our plates but nothing really tasted very good. The decor is Art Deco and Uber cool, but everything else fell flat. Would not go again.
Large table next to us was a large party, and they got quite rowdy on a Saturday afternoon.
A wonderful dining experience. The food and service were excellent.
This is just a delightful spot—in the heart of University City—a go-to place.
Louie Louie is reliable, but I really wish they would try to be exceptional.
A nice place for college students and out of towners looking for a bite. However, service can be a little slow.
I don’t know what was going on but we had three separate waitresses take care of us - well, “take care” isn’t the right phrase. We only saw them when they took our drink and food order, when we got our food and when I had to hunt someone down to get the check.
Food was fine fore brunch, building has a cool aesthetic, but I wouldn’t recommend after the service we got.
No coffee available for service 10-10:15pm. Short staffed, brunch menu limited. There are probably better choices, if going out in area I would think??? (Was just visiting area 1st time.)
My daughter and I were at Louie Louie to celebrate her birthday. We both were very impressed with the restaurant. The food was excellent. If I’m in that area again, I will stop back. Wonderful choice.
Great food and great atmosphere.
Unfortunately, our server threw out the food we hoped to take home with us.
My wedge salad was good but when I asked for arugula instead of the wedge I got a small handful of arugula- could have been more generous. Presentation was good but the added tofu was much too expensive for what it is.
Found wax good, although serving trout skin side up scared me, was fine turned over. Friday at 7:00 place was 3/4 full, but already too loud to have normal conversation. Will go back for brunch.
A great gathering place. Menu has fewer entrees than before the pandemic. But enough to keep the French accent to the place.
Excellent food and drink as always. Service quite slow, had to ask for missing item. Maybe just understaffed. Love hat you can reserve outdoor table. My go-to place on Penn campus.
After an afternoon of consulting work at the Penn library I met my business partner here for an early dinner and business talk. We ate al fresco and very much enjoy the foot, it’s variety and prices. Service was a bit disappointing. There should be a wait staffer stationed outside who can attend to missing utensils, finding one’s waiter, etc. But will definitely go again.
Service was terrible.
My waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. The shrimp are back on the menu and they are delicious!
Only issue was host saying I could not have a table because I was a walk in. Made an open table reservation and then I was able to come. Only reason I did was because I come here when in town and I knew the food and service would outshine the host’s unwelcoming attitude.
Everything from the food down to the soft playing Music was amazing
but my all time favorite was the cocktails
