While the food was scrumptious and had an appealing presentation, it was obvious it had been sitting before it was delivered. Au jus and the French dip sandwich was barely luke warm. French fries were great tasting but greasy, limp and cool to the touch. Fish, dorade, also delicious. We will give it another go in the future.
Friendly staff. Took 10 minutes to be seated despite availability of plenty of open tables visually. Then it took another 15 minutes for the waitress to arrive at the table. Waitress was very friendly and courteous. Order taken efficiently and another 20 mins for appetizer to arrive. The monkey bread quality was dry on the inside with sauce being devoid of cinnamon flavor for an expensive dish in my opinion. Thus I would have expected better. Main meal arrived warm in good time. We ordered eggs Benedict each but both failed to hit the mark for the price. Eggs were slightly over cooked and my potatoes were oily and soggy. The fries received by my guest however was good. The hot water for the tea was not very hot.
Thus all in all it was a below my expectation on the quality of the food. Service was with a smile. There was no point to
complain as we were in a time crunch. The place looks good and most of the waiting staff were friendly and with smiles but the restaurant failed to deliver on food.
The food and drinks were great as was the service!
Great brunch! Amazing atmosphere. You must try the waffles!!!!
Our server was absolutely great. He's the only reason why we stayed.
Everything else...from the wobbly table to us having to request a new table AND pick up our chairs to go to the new table...to someone then needing to take one of our chairs (that held our bags) to give another customer without providing an alternative other than putting our bags on the ground...to the additional servers who were 0/10 on the pleasant scale... it was just not a great night. I 100% understand that waitstaff has been dealing with not-so-great customers in the middle of this pandemic. But when you have customers like my friend and I who are actually pleasant people... who have been supporting Philly restaurants throughout this pandemic and have had great experiences at so many other places over the last 7 months...it was just really disappointing to spend our Saturday night here. The duck was good; the salmon was well done, though I asked for it to be medium. And the lobster was rubbery. Again, our server was the only reason why we stayed. He was a gem.
we ordered mussels - the broth was all salt and the mussels were tiny and overcooked. Fries were delicious.
please put more blackberries on the tomato carpaccio!
The panini was a deli sandwich and had missing ingredients. The server was so nice and was really trying but it seemed like it was understaffed.
We don't know what happened to the fantastic food at the Louie Louie, It certainly wasn't served when we were there. Used to love this place now it's mediocre at best and so is the service. Very disappointing.
In a nutshell: good cocktails, terrible service, food sub par. I received my meal immediately while my finances came out 30 minutes later. Same went for our cocktails. Added a drink to our check that we didn’t order. If you can go somewhere else…I would.
They took time to get us seated, but after that everything was wonderful.
Always a good place to go and no disappointments
Carrie was my server. She was so sweet and made me feel like I was well taken care of. I love coming here with my boyfriend and also for a solo date.
Great spot for lunch near the University. Fun cocktails and nice wines.
Food was delicious, and our waitress was terrific!
Just all around fabulous… staff outstanding, food delish, ambiance wonderful…
Our server, Stephanie, was excellent! Food delicious. We ate outside and it was lovely!
We had a lovely dinner for my husband’s birthday.
Exceptional. Can anyone be more flattering?
My go to. I’m always satisfied when I leave
Had Zee as our server and although she forgot a few items (chicken sausage side, coffee refill) she was delightfully accommodating and mindful of our dining pace. Ambience was very nice; food good.
My favorite restaurant in the city now. The ambience is so cool, vibrant, and refreshing. The design and decor is amazing, and it is very clean. The food is all great, and well priced. The service is impeccable as well. Definitely will be returning.
Lovely restaurant! Great staff. Gorgeous ambience. Good menu. Some unusual ingredients not otherwise disclosed. (Eg. Chili flakes in the mussels, prolific use of truffles (truffle fries, truffle butter. Unfortunately, I don't like truffle.)) Otherwise, great experience.
Great service street parking available. Outside dining is nice and burger is great
The place was just in complete disarray, do better!!!
Arrived exactly on time, but had to flag down the host after waiting 25 min with no server. Water was warm and tasted like dirt. Salads came out before drinks. Another half hour passed before entrees came out with sad portions and just meh food. We were eventually comped a round of drinks, but kind of too little too late since there were no apologies until this point. Disappointing experience :(
This is a good place to go to for brunch but was a little busy. Server was across the room and we barely seen her. This place was also not kid friendly. I called to ask if they were and I was told they could accommodate children and did not. Overall nice ambiance and good food. I would go back but not with children.
I have eaten here numerous times due to staying at the connected hotel while I loved one was at the Hospital of the University of PA. I found this restaurant and actually most of the open ones in the area very expensive with a very disappointing limited menu. Whether you come for brunch on the weekend or lunch or dinner the menu is basically the same with a few modifications. What really annoyed me was I made a reservation for 1 at 1000 via Open Table for brunch one Sunday and the greeter told me I would need to sit at the bar or outside because they would be busy. I reminder the greeter I had made a reservation and this was terrible service. I was seated inside and guess what....only 4 other diners were seated inside at 1000 and 1030 when I left.
Excellent all around! Thank you!
We enjoyed the food, service, ambience and music. Wonderful time.
Service was wonderful French dip could have been less toasted/burnt. Other than that superb!
We loved the escargot and our cocktails.
Multi generational dinner was enjoyed by all! Food was delicious and the servers were very professional! We will be back.
my waitress was so sweet and helpful !
Perfect spot, great music..
Food is nice. A little pricey
The food was amazing. We had the Braised Rabbit, and it was great!!
Anthony the host was extremely rude and unhelpful.
Staff was exceptionally friendly!
I come here often. The atmosphere is great and the food is very good.
This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and wonderful service, which is hard to find these days given shortages. We so appreciate everyone who made our lovely meal a possibility! It was a little sense of normalcy.
