It was outstanding! The quality of food was great and so was the service.
Always a fuss going on at reception. When finally greeted- immediately seated outside. Large heaters kept us fairly warm. My husband & I have been here many times but this was the first time with another couple. Very odd, bread was served but only 3 slices for four people. Didn’t like it any way-odd taste, very dry, tough to chew. Olive oil dip had a very off taste. Friend tried to order 2 wine bottles but waiter kept kind of rudely questioning his Italian pronunciation, even though friend speaks Italian & has been to Italy many times. Wine came, had to ask twice for cooler for the white wine. Whatever, gave our dinner orders. Friends ordered Brussels sprouts but got rapini. When said no we ordered Brussels sprouts waiter told us they were out of them so gave us a sub, without asking. Said no, take it back & take it off the bill. The other three liked their meals but I really disliked my usual shrimp risotto. It was over cooked, tasted weird, heavy mushroom taste, not like before. Shrimp weren’t grilled this time. Didn’t want to make a fuss, just ate the shrimp, left the risotto which waiter never questioned. At 9 PM the DJ started. The music was pumped to a speaker right over our heads, so loud we could no longer hear each other. Awful. Ordered 2 limoncellos, both served to one person? With the volume couldn’t wait to leave.
My husband’s food was cold when it arrived. They warmed up the same plate in the oven and reserved it dried out. They didn’t apologize or offer a replacement or even take it off the bill as he didn’t eat it. Disappointing customer service.
Loud and packed- food was good but heavy.
We had a wonderful Sunday brunch while on vacation in Fort Lauderdale. The food was amazing and the bottomless beverages were a steal! Could not have asked for a more helpful waiter, he gave great recommendations
The brunch is always amazing and the food is exceptional!
A friend Reunion
This was an amazing experience for me an my wife. Everyone treated us like royalty!
I have been to this restaurant many times and was exciting to bring my friends here, I am still giving
high rating only because this is the first time I have had an issue so I assume is just a one off
Food and wine selection great, and I understand how busy this place always is, but we where busy
enjoying our food when a woman (not a server either hostess or manager) abruptly approached
our table and TOLD us to move because she had a big group booked and had we had been allocated
the wrong table in the middle of where she planned to put the group!! In theory we would have had
no problem moving had this been posted in a different way . A simple "would you mind helping us out and
moving over a couple of tables" would have been enough, we would have been happy to help.
In fact our server was very apologetic about and even comped our appetizers as an apology , this went
a long way to easing the situation , wish I had taken his name, he truly understood good service
Always excellent if you have the insight to make advance reservations. Food, ambiance and service A+ always.
food and service were very good, the restaurant was very chaotic and although everyone was having a good time the noise level and overcrowding at the entrance and front podium was crazy.i know thats a good problem to have but the wait was extreme at 1 hour and 40 minutes.we did get some food at the bar area to hold us over but would have liked to eat the entire meal at a table.that said its a great place to hang out and the food is excellent im bringing some friends there this week who have not dined there in the past.
If you’re into huge crowds, noise, overpriced pasta and like to wait an hour for a table even if you have a reservation, this is your place. Lots of other Italian restaurants with good food and more reasonable prices.
This is the first time that we had mediocre service. Pear salad was excellent, the pizza was cold and barely edible. We have been here many. Many times and this was an unusual experience, would still recommend to anyone
As they say in the Caribbean: Love you gone to bed! Grilled Branzino is amazing.
I think that menu needs to be revamp specially the appetizers.
Good food in a nice setting. Good service.
Service was a bit slow, very good food and wine
Excellent experience all the way around. We went early on a Monday night (5pm) and it started filling up while we were there —-it was very loud which might bother some people. Great atmosphere—so many different types around the venue. Awesome service—our waiter was someone who probably has been doing so for 30 yers and excellent in every way. Food was unbelievable. The variety was all across types and ingredients and served so many different ways. We started out with the Marcona Almonds which I love, and a mushroom bruschetta which was so full of taste. He got the pasta vodka dish which he said was very good, and I got the grilled chicken (which melted in your mouth literally)and a great side dish which was spaghetti done with black pepper and Parmesan. As the server said—one of the most under rated dishes on the menu. The bread was warm and toasted , very food and served with olive oil. We would highly recommend. Make your reservations early in the day or earlier. And if noise is an issue for you , I would suggest very early or late. We hope we are back to the area and this is definitely somewhere we would go back to. They seem to be able to handle large tables of 8-14. They have areas that would be appropriate for groups also.
Always great food and fun atmosphere!
I loved dining outside at Louie Bossi. Pizza was very good. Lamb chops were yummy but don't include a side. Reservations are a must!
Server was training a new server but there were a few issues, water not being replenished,no cutlery twice for apps and dessert, second bottle of wine we had to request from server and wine was never poured for us,usually service is very good-hopefully next time
Great food and service as always. Was a bit loud inside and hard to hear my friends. Always recommend outside in back
Excellent, very popular Italian restaurant on lovely Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. The food is delicious, and the menu offers an array of choices including pasta, pizza, and dishes with meat or fish. The portions are very generous. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside. Great bar section, large with TV. Really great atmosphere and decor. The outdoor back dining patio is especially special! Dress is dressy casual. Reasonably priced. Valet parking or parking lots (paid) immediately behind the restaurant. We love Louie Bossi's.
Very good food, great service and an energetic atmosphere.
Perfect location for dinner!
Been at Louie Bossi many times, all way good experiences
This last visit we decided to order from the special list and I didn’t like the servants comment “simply basic order” not very professional!
Birthday dinner. The restaurant was seriously crowded. We had a table inside which was disappointing as the back patio has a great ambience and inside is not as special. The food is always terrific! Lively atmosphere.
It was very busy and a bit noisy, but overall a great night to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. A reservation was necessary and we requested to sit outside which has a wonderful atmosphere. Our waitress, Theresa, was wonderful. Very attentive and accommodating. Would highly recommend.
The food was tasteless and my husband’s meal was cold. The pasta was was tasteless, looks like they opened a can and poured over the pasta
We go here a lot. This time, the mushroom pizza was so soggy, it was disgusting. I asked them to take off most of the topping, they kept it the same. After the 3rd pizza attempt, we gave up. My husband ordered the chicken parmesean. My 10 year old niece could have made that horrible mess. Will never go again.
Atmosphere was fantastic.
The food was good, but not great!
Loved the homemade noodles, but my sauce was lacking in flavor.
Pizza was great, but once again the sauce lacking in flavor.
Overall, would choose to dine here again and try something different.
Sunday brunch was super noisy and energetic which I did not mind.
It's a fun place with excellent food. I recommend the back patio seating. I did reserve that , but they did not accommodate. That is my only complaint. We highly recommend the grilled calamari!!
Always consistently great! Food, Service, and ambiance never lets me down.
Excellent as always, will be back soon, had a great time
Nos encantó el restaurante, estuvimos en una cena con la familia y todo de nuestro toral agrado, repetiría la experiencia
Usually amazing and one of my favorite place.... but this time service was long and music was wayyyyy too loud. Also the person that grab the reservation was trying her best to make it really hard for us to get a reservation.
Great service from the hostess to our waitress as well as those delivering the food. Very nice friendly tone throughout the restaurant. The food and dessert was outstanding. The restaurant is cool with several areas to choose from for dining. This was a repeat visit for us and we’ll be back again! Highly recommend!!
food is outstanding.
front of the house is pretty rude. a lot of attitude for no reason.
Always a great time at Louie Bossi. The vibe, the food, the wine! We were delighted to bring our friends from Boston to see this great spot that we get to enjoy all time as locals. We were so surprised that on New Years Day it was always 1/2 price wine which they do every Wednesday. That was a special treat on a holiday... but Bossi is a special treat anytime!
This was my least favorite experience at Louie Bossi, which is usually my favorite place. Which is why I choosing it for my first meal of the New Year. Firstly our server was just off, and quite short. He mentioned that several things that I always have were unable, such as splitting a salad or only getting olives with no cheese. I usually eat the same thing every time I attend, same dish since they opened but tried something new it fell extremely flat. I actually had to send it back to have the water drained from the bottom of the bowl. I often order noodles with olive oil and garlic at other Italian restaurants and love it but here the garlic was raw which was not pleasant at all. There was very little olive oil and mostly water. The noodle were cooked perfectly Al dente. The Branzino was also ordered at our table and was great. Upon arriving we were given a filthy water glass, I asked the server for another glass and he brought out large glasses and left the disgusting glass on our table during our meal. I think that was the worse offense of the entire experience. Also I had to take a fork from another table after asking him twice for another fork after my drained pasta was brought back to me. This restaurant has been my favorite place so not having a pleasant experience is hard for me to discuss but more disappointing because I know what they are capable of. This is my honest review of my meal.
