Hostesses were very accommodating. Our server was inattentive and unpleasant. He literally looked at our empty cups of coffee and never returned to refill them. We had to ask him twice for coffee. Had no personality and we always had to hunt him down. Plus there were no working bathrooms which we were never told about. We had a guest with terminal cancer who was instructed by our server to go across the street to a different establishment. We asked him to send a manager our way, who never came. I doubt our server told management. Food and ambiance were phenomenal. Service is usually on point except this occasion, unfortunately since we were celebrating a birthday.
I have been to their Boca location at least three (although not for dinner) and always had a good time. Las Olas was extremely busy and loud. Fortunately they took our 830 reservation (approx 845) and sat us in one of the booths next to the sidewalk which was significantly quieter (although still loud) than the rest of the restaurant. We could watch the people walking by or the very active scene at the restaurant. At about 1030 the music got louder and seemed to be trying to take on a slightly different vibe.
Our server Juan was excellent. He was responsive, chatty, friendly and checked in with us periodically.
For food; we ordered their special soup ( kale and Veges), 2 orders of meatballs and a margarita pizza. All of it was great! We moved to pastas and that’s where it got a little disappointing. The Linguine Vongole has absolutely no clam flavor. Tasted like buttered noodles with a handful of clams on the side, the risotto fruiti di mare while having a better flavor and a good amount of seafood was unfortunately over salted and my daughter picked the winner of the night-pasta with mixed mushrooms. The pasta was all cooked well-no mushy pasta here. They redeemed themselves a bit at desert. We ordered the canolli and the cookie plate and both were surprising and very good.
Overall a fun night out. Some food is better than others and the crowd was very busy, active and full of energy. Had great service! However, I think I will return back to Boca because I don’t remember that location getting quite as loud.
Very noisy inside.
Outside on back patio fabulous.
Always a fun place.
Wish they had Chicken Park on menu every night.
Never disappoints. We’ve enjoyed several dinners this season. Most memorable the outdoor seating in back. Favorite menu item seafood salad but we’ve enjoyed everything from pizza to risotto to pasta. Many thanks for great memories.
First off, i called for a reservation and the teenage girl who answered the phone put me on hold twice after losing me the first time. then i got a canned speech about all their reservations being booked for the entire evening and the policies regarding a "wait list" if it will exist etc... as an answer to my question of "If we walk in around 5:30, what is the typical wait time?" She never did answer as I gave up. open table had a 5:15 reservation avail.
The waiter (who I can't say his name as he never introduced himself) was OK. The menu says in big red letters when you order your wine as for an Italian special "juice glass" ! So I did. He promptly said that in all his time there, he has never served anyone wine in a "juice glass". So I sort of felt like he was giving me the tourist treatment, although I live just down the street, so I insisted and he came back stating there is no such glass! OK then.
The soup I ordered was Pasta Fajoli (sp). I was explaining to my date that I thought the soup was a bit strange and not like any Pasta Fajoli that I ever had before. I mentioned it to him as he rushed by and I was almost thru with it and he said, oh... they switched to a Tuscan Kale soup... ok... now I feel bettter... i think.
The food was outstanding. all well cooked and prepared. we actually were seated twice as they originally put us next to the bar. the bar was 5 people deep, standing almost next to our table... I don't think so. I asked to be moved... no problem.
A great place to go and worth it, although a bit expensive, worth it for the great location and quality of the food.
The tip suggestion is 20% on the check. I left 15% on a $140 bill. Our waiter spent all of 3 minutes with us and he was just OK. servers delivered our food and were very polite, so maybe they split the tips. anyway, I think restaurants should give some of their profits to the waiters and employees and not leave it to the patrons.
Outstanding service for the moment we arrived, before the meal, during and after!!!
Will be back soon!!
Cool atmosphere in the outdoor space in the back. Food and drinks were all great!
I recommend dining in the beautiful garden in the back.
Love this place! We come every year when we visit ft. Lauderdale
Service good, food good and the ambiance is always great
Great service great food a+++
Very nice place with lots of atmosphere , great food at a very good value and great service.
The pasta is the best! But I could have done with a little more....portions are small
Although we didn't get seated outside, the back is so pretty, I would recommend asking to wait for a table the outside.
Great for any occasion and the food is always amazing!!
Very good service. Manager made sure we were happy with our table and food. Helped us celebrate my wife’s birthday with a special dessert.
Carlos Andres our server was excellent!
Brunch date very busy but a lot of fun and food/drinks was amazing
Awesome service thanks to Vitaly!!
Had a great time here having brunch with friends. Our servers were AMAZING. Friendly and accommodating. The back patio area is lovely, however it does get hot in the spring, summer months will be worst. They do have fans out there, but for us it was still too hot. We decided to ask our server to move us indoors by the bar area. Overall, wonderful place. I read comments about noise level, but I truly did not experience this issue at all. Will go back and highly recommend. The avocado toast....the French toast....do yourselves a favor and get them.
The food and quality is incredible!! Service was alright, a little fast paced. The only issue was the noise level. The music is so loud that it almost feels like a nightclub. I could not converse with my family. They should have a section that's not as loud. However the food was amazing..one of the best Italian restaurants.
We love going to Louie Bossi's for any occasion. We take out of town visitors- business, friends and family. We also like to go for date nights, lunch and happy hour. We are vegan and we are always accommodated to suite our dietary needs. We were so lucky to get the best seat in the house in the gazebo during our latest visit with our business partner, his family and my inlaws.
I eat here all the time. Food and atmosphere always excellent.
Geeet evening celebrating our Anniversary. Loved the surprise dessert the manager sent over! Fun place. Great food and service!
The meal was over the top, loved my negroni cocktail, best I have had, My girlfriend loved the grilled octopus...Beautiful nite Beautiful atmosphere....Our waiter Andre on a scale of 1-10 is a 22 thousand😆 next day for lunch had awesome whitefish tacos and cocktails at Rocco's Taco's...Probably headed back to Dinner to nite at Louie's for the Steak.........CESARE D
Great meal - great drinks / our appetizers came out with our s trees and they took a very long time to arrive.
Had lunch at this restaurant for the first time while in Ft. Lauderdale. The food was excellent, the service was great and loved the atmosphere. Would definatley recommend and go back again.
Louis Bossi can be a little difficult to get in to especially for dinner. Other than that, the pizzas are artisan delights that come from a dough made from their starter that has a name LOL. All pastas are crafted on premises and they even dry age their own beef for dinner. It is the quintessential American Italian cuisine and is well worth the trip to go there. Their pizzas are a masterpiece.
Food was great!
Pedro was our waiter and it was for sure, an asset. Their Manager, Mr. Stevens... the best!
Very disappointing...way too loud! Ordered an appetizer plate and they brought it at the SAME TIME our entree ARRIVED!
Only ate a quarter of my grilled chicken panini and requested a take home box. Andrea, our server, came and told me someone in the kitchen threw it out and only gave me a half a sandwich to take home?? Probably, the same one they threw out??? I should have been comped the whole sandwich!!!!!!!
Finally, we ordered two Strozzapretti and hey charged me $25 for each when the menu listed it at $19.00!!
A $12 overcharge!!!! What a scam!!!! I will never go back and caution all my friends and acquaintances about this horrendous Sunday fiasco!!!!!
Hopefully, the restaurant will contact me and make things RIGHT!!!
We celebrated our 20th Anniversary over brunch on Sunday morning. Excellent Excellent service, the food was delicious, the wait staff were extremely attentive. We absolutely loved the place and highly recommend it to anyone 👍😁
Service is very good and the drinks are well made. Bread is delish and warm. Enjoyed the meatballs and branzino fish.
What a fantastic setting! We sat outside and began with some drinks and an appetizer.
The drinks were amazing. Not too strong and not too sweet. It was my first time having prosciutto and let me just say, I will definitely be having it again.
We got some pizza for the table which was absolutely on point. The imported mozzarella combined with the fresh basil made every bite a joy.
We followed up with various pasta dishes for the main course (mine was spaghetti carbonara); the smokiness of the bacon in my carbonara mixed perfectly with the creamy aged cheese. I was too full to finish my dish but I kept going because it was just too good.
My wife had the pazzesco (which I also tasted) and it was absolutely amazing. It was a mix of different pastas and a sausage/pork/beef meatball mix; my wife says it’s the best pasta she’s ever had.
We were too full to try dessert but we are definitely going back and will be trying it next time. The service was also top notch. Our waiter Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant as well as the various foods and beverages offered here. Atmosphere? Super relaxed with a nice selection of music that further brings you into the intended mood.
All in all, 10/10 we will be going back and will be recommending this place to our friends and family. In the spirit of full disclosure, there were a few flies outside where we sat that were slightly annoying but that’s to be expected sitting outside with food in South Florida, haha!
Absolutely love the ambience, food and service of this place!
Always a great meal. Never disappointing. My go to spot !
Great place for vacationers and locals. Food was so fresh. Service was lovely and they were great with kids. Haven't had fresh, homemade macaroni like that since my Nana.
Food delicious- great service- Mike the Manager
Knows how to treat patrons.
Great wait staff, very attentive, atmosphere was perfect and such a great variety of food.
