   This was a disappointing experience, especially after hearing such incredible things about the restaurant and its deep dish pizza. This was our first visit to Chicago, so we were excited about the food. The one good quality for the evening at Lou Malnati's was the atmosphere, it was fun and engaging. The service: Our waitress was very spaced (seemed to be on tranquilizers or something similar) and showed little interest in offering information or answering our questions. So we chose what was recommended by our hotel, the sausage and cheese deep dish. Food: The pizza arrived 45 minutes later, and there was a layer of water and some oil on top from the sauce. The water made the entire crust nearly impossible to eat, it was soggy at best. We were only able to eat one piece and the rest was given back. The waitress didn't care that we were unhappy with the experience so we just left. I hope that this was a fluke, and we happened to get the bad pizza and waitress for the night.

   First time trying Lou Malnati’s and deep dish, and wow—DE-LISH! I also ordered a Caesar salad and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great food, great first impression!

   Our group of 10 had a delicious meal here. We were prompted to pre-order our pizza and thanks to that the timing was perfect. We had the Lou deep dish x2, a personal sized cheese, a large thin sausage and mushroom, the Malnati salad, a Caesar salad and LOTS of leftovers. Our server was attentive and the ambiance was great. Everyone enjoyed their drink of choice.

   We loved Lou Malnati's. We were in Chicago for a long weekend and had to have a deep dish pizza before leaving. We chose the Lou's pizza and it was amazing. So many deep dish crusts are thick and overpower the entire pizza but not Lou's. It is delicious and enhances the enjoyment of the ingredients. The individual salad was very good. Loved the croutons too. Our servers did a great job as well. We highly recommend Lou Malnati's.

   Had "The Lou" and was not at all disappointed! I was hungry so I got the small and ate it all. Great beer options to help wash their fabulous pizza down.

   Sadly we were entirely ignored by our server for 15 minutes. She eventually came over and could not have been less interested. The pizza would take 40 minutes to cook - which is a long time but about right at Lou’s - but having been ignored for so long we wouldn’t have been eating until after an hour after we arrived which was too late for us so we left hungry.

    We were very excited to try this place, but the experience overall was underwhelming. The pizza is just okay and you have to wait 30-35 minutes for it. I guess this is a one-time experience.
