First time trying the Mahi Mahi and the Hot Brown. Both were delicious and filling. Very good flavors on the hot brown, almost shaped like a pizza! Wish they had Beignets for apps or dessert. I hear the Downtown LOU LOU does offer these.

Steak tacos were great! There was a slight mistake in the prep, which the manager caught (I didn’t!) so he offered dessert on the house. Then he went to the kitchen make sure future orders were prepared correctly. I already thought those tacos were darn good! That’s the great service we’ve come to expect at Lou Lou’s. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Makes for a nice evening!

This was my first time dining here - members of my party had dined here previously and highly recommended it. I was very impressed by the food and the service but what stood out to me was the perfect ambience. Lou Lou just feels right. We loved dining for Fat Tuesday! The menu had so many yummy options. Drinks included. Good service. We were very pleased. Only negative is that the parking is awful. Had to park far away from the building. Need to re-locate. Adjoining lots have signs up that car will be towed if not at their particular business.

We are in Louisville as our Christmas present to each other. Lou Lou’s was recommended to us by the owner of Inn at Woodhaven and it did not disappoint!! I had the special cod and ravioli and it was to die for! My boyfriend had the gumbo and he loved it. We recommend this place for wonderful food!

My crab cake appetizer tasted very good. It was not lump crab but still delicious. One crab cake with spinach salad and a side order of yummy grits was very filling. We sampled 2 desserts, banana pudding and bread pudding. Maybe because I was already full, the dessert seemed too sweet for me. I’ve been there a few times and always enjoy the overall experience. The day we were there, Dec 29, it was busy so the noise level was higher than usual. The service was still excellent.

Love Love Love Lou Lou Food and Drink! Our table was waiting for us with no delay. We had a great time chatting over a long lunch -- the food was great and we were never rushed. Things we had on this visit -- side salad and the short rib sandwich, 10" Lou Lou Pizza, and Linguine and meatballs. The Lou Lou pizza is my absolute favorite pie in Louisville!! My brother and sister loved their meals as well. Can't wait for the next Lou Lou visit. :)

Lou Lou Food + Drink was great, as always. My seasonal salad with salmon was delicious - fresh and flavorful - and the dressing was so good I was tempted to eat it all by itself. The service was friendly and efficient. I requested a quieter table when making my reservation, as one member of our party has a difficult time hearing, and they seated us at a back booth, which was perfect. Lou Lou's is one of my go-to places in Louisville!

Great spot for a casual night out. The food is always fresh and delicious. We have enjoyed 1/2 price wine on Wednesdays on several occasions.

Shrimp & grits rivaled Charleston’s best—just divine. Hubs had “Taco Tues” special with blackened chicken & said it was delicious. Our server Jacob was polite, funny and just provided the utmost in service. An A++experience all around. We’ll be back!

Terrific food, good service, pleasant atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. The shrimp and grits were outstanding as was the Cajun short rib melt. The side of slaw was exceptional as well. My wife said that the Pasta Primavera was also excellent. We shared a crème Brule which was oh so creamy and sweet. The only disappointment was that the glass of wine I had was oxidized, probably just a bad bottle.

The Cajun sampler was amazing! Good variety and the flavors were incredible. It’s a comfortable, cozy spot with reasonable prices for really good food!

The food is always great - I have favorites I get a lot but frequently get the specials as well. And the service is amazing. Everyone is so nice, food is usually very quick and they are always attentive.
