Lost Creek Winery
This was our second trip there in three days. It was very relaxing peaceful private setting...
Excellent bottle of Province! The shrimp and grits were excellent although the portion was a bit sparse. The Eggs Benedict were delicious. Our waitress did a marvelous job of making sure our experience was enjoyable.
Food was excellent. Wine was average
What a breath of fresh air in this tranquil environment. We sat under the pergola while viewing a lovely fountain and herb garden. We met the chef and toured the wine storage facility. Our server was Chris who was well informed, personable and well traveled. By far, the best winery were have visited! Less commercial and more personal!
Shellby was amazing. The team is great, they made my experience enjoyable
This place is in an idyllic setting, with fine wine selection and excellent chef driven small plates (by Landon). You can sit outside under a wisteria arbor in summer or inside next to a fireplace in winter. The small plates are wonderful with a good selection. You will enjoy this place!!
A lovely, tapas style menu with very good wine from the winery and vineyards. A very nice and relaxing atmosphere with very friendly service.
We had a wonderful time with our friends. One suggestion the food portions should be a little bigger.
Overall we love Lost Creek
Absolutely my favorite Northern Virginia winery. From the warm welcome by the wonderful owners and staff who treat you more like family than a customer, to the innovative, ever-changing seasonal menu to the truly world-class wines, that just keep getting better - I love Lost Creek.
Outstanding ambiance, service and most of all excellent FOOD!
THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!! Of course I was a little skeptical - virginia wines, seriously? As a Seattlite, and very familiar to all the world-class wines the West Coast has to offer, I was shocked to see that northern Virginia had such a burgeoning wine scene. Imaging my surprise when we did their flight of 6 wines (3 whites/3 reds) and 4 of them seriously did them proud. And the fact that ALL the grape were locally grown made me even more impressed - I was pretty sure the reds had grapes from other places outside of the state (like West Coast vineyards perhaps?? :) ) So yeah, I was impressed and purchased a bottle for my trip home. Secondly, this place has REAL food - not just snacks. We brought our A game appetite and the chef did not disappoint, Lost Creek literally has a dynamic duo that did us right with Shrimp and Grits, Sausages, killer cheese plate, and amazing deserts that definitely left our tummies full and very satisfied. We ate our meal outside in the garden area - kicking back in comfy wicker chairs and just enjoying the ambiance. So nice. The staff was just as good as the wine and food - totally friendly and able to chat up good conversation. They were so welcoming with zero pretentiousness that one can experience in Sonoma. In all, Lost Creek Winery did Northern Virginia proud that day and yes, I will so be back on my next biz trip out there. See you guys in a few weeks!
A lovely menu in a lovely setting. Staff are very friendly and the wine list is great.
We went on a very miserable Sunday weather-wise and went for a business organization meeting. Good food, good wine, great service, sound level low, would absolutely recommended it!
Birthday brunch, we had a chefs sip and savor 4 course pairing.
We were in a quiet room, only one other couple as we were finishing up. The wine was very good. We ended up enjoying the grounds with a bottle of Cabernet. My dear friends purchased the crystal wine glasses for us. All and all a beautiful quiet spot to enjoy good wine.
Look no further for a great escape from DC. A short 1-hour drive takes you to a superb venue. The wines are first rate and the lovely pairing menu is fabulous. All ala carte which makes it nice. The lamb melts in your mouth and no one should leave the table without trying the carrot cake.
Beautiful setting for a Food & Wine Pairing! We sat outside under the vine-covered loggia, enjoying the music of Gary Smallwood. We opted for the Sip & Savor and were delighted by the pairings of whites and reds to the "fit-for-foodies" food. Every pairing was delicious, including the dessert of hand-crafted chocolates with a flavorful, dry red wine made from merlot grapes. Highly recommend this venue!
