One of my favourite places on the planet. It was my birthday and the staff treated us very well.
Awesome view here.
Great place for that ski run of the day.
Very limited menu! We had the pulled pork with a very small salad for $19 add a $4 water some tax and you’re looking at $25 mediocre lunch.
The greeter was very aggressively Covid cautious. Maybe take a note of the Rusty Edge customer service.
Zero service. Didn’t even offer food. We had to waive someone down after 25 minutes to get a beer. Then waive down again to get a second beer like 20 later then they asked us to leave because there was a reservation behind us.
The spectacular view from the deck isn't worth putting up with the rude, grubby staff. The food was expensive, small portions and only served inside. I guess the deck is for drinks only. It would have been nice to know this when reserving a table. It was disturbing to observe staff and patrons using the bathroom (outhouse) facilities opposite the Cafe with no running water. Yuck.
Where to start, great location, great coffees, specialty boozy ones and regular ones, good music, food is tasty and portions are generous, especially for an altitude restaurant... Perfect place to have a break and enjoy the view. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I like that they were offering add-ons to our meals, helpfully with the rest of our stay with other activity/town recommendations. Knowing what we wanted on just the second visit made us feel very good. I really recommend and will come back!
Good food. Unfortunately had no bread bowls for chili and stew. Very disappointing.
Can’t say enough good about this place. Service and atmosphere are second to none. One of my favourite places in the world, believe it or not. Note to first time visitors, just because polar peak is open, doesn’t mean you have to go there after having two beer at Lost Boys. Word to the wise
Cool to be on top of the mountain, But BEWARE you MUST be a professional skier to go down these double black diamond runs to get back to the bottom after taking the lift up!
Great place to warm up midday, especially during the cold snap. Food is fantastic - nice comfort food that fits the surroundings. Expensive for what you get, but considering the location and logistics, it makes sense. Service is wonderful - all staff are friendly and welcoming and enforce the pandemic rules without being rude.
Beef stew served in sourdough bread bowl was delicious as was the pulled pork sandwich. The service was wonderful.
Always great! Food and service excellent and nice that servers recognize you even when it is weeks in between visits.
The noise volume was higher than expected. Two tables who new each other were talking very loudly due to the regulated table distance. Then one of the diners was standing. The manager asked him to put his mark on. I felt sorry for the staff, when loud mouth got even louder.
Such behaviour is hard on staff and other patrons.
Apart from that my wife and I appreciate the staff and the opportunity to have a meal on the ski hill.
The menu is very limited with top of the mountain prices, but the food is tasty and the service is great. The view is also incredible.
Lost Boys is a great location on at Fernie Alpine Resort. We appreciated being able to book a time with Open Table. The guaranteeing a space is important in our planning for a ski day.
We ordered and shared, the days special. A BLT and a pint of beer. The sandwich was great. However it could have come with a bag of chips or a little something extra versus a plate with just a sandwich.
The pint of beer hit the spot. But, on a ski hill it caused a major problem awhile later. “Beer: Input equals output squared!”
Beautiful view, great service and the beat Mac and cheese I’ve had in a long time! Large portions as well.
Best place for coffee and snacks. Staff are very friendly
Very nice atmosphere, good food and a good vibe. Views were limited when we were there but would be ace on a sunny day.
Great coffee break
As a ski break, it was fantastic. One can’t beat the views, but our server was excellent. From recommending spending 20 cents more for an Americano over drip to sneaking in a ciabatta instead of premium crackers, she was a gem.
Excellent food, views, and service as usual. I am a little disappointed that you cannot make a reservation for one, and this was made clear by the host after 10 minutes when I was seated. I usually spend more than enough and certainly more than a table of four kids, so it is disappointing when I was told my name would be blacklisted when I try to make another reservation. I will definitely repeat, but rolling the dice as a walk-in when you need a warm-up does not make sense.
Gorgeous views and great service. reservations are easy to make and felt very comfortable with all the Covid precautions. Thank You
Our server Kalani was excellent, very personable.
Great setting, great service and very good cleaning protocols. Beautiful stop for a hearty mid-mountain lunch or coffee!
Lost Boys is a perfect noon hour warm-up with fantastic service, comfort food, and great coffee/beers. Stunning views and wonderful ambience. Food is expensive (but should be given the location) but not prohibitive, beer and coffee pricing are normal. Social distancing was handled quite well with the new measures put in place (but I obviously miss the packed bar and vibrant ski scene)!
Ski day, time for a warm drink.
