Our server, I believe her name was Kristen, was so personable and attentive! One of the best servers I've ever had in Boston!
We have been here for dinner twice and really enjoyed it. Today we went for brunch and it was great. They always have an interesting menu with items you don't normally see offered in our area. Portions are generous and the prices are quite reasonable. Friendly atmosphere and hot food served right on time. The place is a bit loud but homey.
great food, the music was a bit loud... tough to hold a conversation
Sox game with coworker
We ate outside before a 7:05 weeknight Sox game. Food was as expected, not award winning but good. Service was great. Didn't really experience the "ambiance" but good spot for people watching!
Great atmosphere, music food, dancing. Had a great time!
The food was fantastic and the service was great! Would highly recommend!
Service was good. Very loud but it was right before the Red Sox game so it was to be expected. Got the arugula salad which was good except the pecans were pretty burned. Other than that it was great
The feel is Nashville like. Fun and country. The waitress was very attentive. The menu had good variety. My wife enjoyed the blackened catfish. I liked the buttermilk fried chicken. The come slaw was fair as was the biscuit and gravy. My wife thought the biscuit and gravy was awful, having lived in the south.
Like many reviews on yelp stated, I also felt sick to my stomach a couple hours later. Perhaps some are less tolerant to the amount of oil in the fried chicken. Or it could be the coleslaw or biscuit and gravy.
Food was tasty in general but we wont be back.
Part of a party of 4, arrived on time at 6 for a confirmed reservation. Seated promptly. Drink and app order went fine, and wings were actually very tasty. But I think our server forgot to put our order in, and when the food finally came, (after 7), two of us found the brisket in our two different dishes to be practically inedible. Server was apologetic about the late food and took a round of drinks off the tab, and when I couldn't get past the first bite of my brisket tacos, I courteously explained the situation to the manager, who took it off the bill without any difficulty. Unfortunately, by the time we got to Fenway, it was the top of the 2nd and the Sox were up 7-0.
Looks like a fun place for drinks and apps, but dinner, this time, was pretty forgettable.
Loved the restaurant, however the "artist" that was on stage the entire time we dined was truly horrible. It ruined the ability to enjoy the meal based on how awful he sounded.
The shrimp and grits were amazing! Loved the country feel
It was a great place
Excellent southern comfort food and really good service. We had an excellent meal before a Sox game.
Stopped in for dinner Tuesday night before a show at HOB. 4 patrons in the place. The hostess kept walking by me, despite me standing at the hostess stand, waiting to be seated. I had to flag her down for a table and then she seemed put out. Sorry you have to do your job!
While the food was good, waaaaaaay overpriced. I got the blackened scallop dish, $24. There were 6 tiny scallops. While delicious, not a good value. We got a side of corn bread, and it was dry (maybe leftover from the day before?) and not much flavor. The mashed potatoes were very good. I arrived with an empty stomach and had 3 cocktails in an hour and didn’t feel a thing – very skimpy with their pour. Again, not a good value.
Service was ok, however 3 times we asked for another soda, but they never came. At one point I had to get up from my seat to find our waitress, to tell her I was running to the ladies room but would be back at the table to finish my drink. When I returned from the ladies room, she had removed my drink (but not the empty plates).
Really nice southern joint. Great food, good ambiance, live music and interesting cocktails. I recommend the cucumber mojito.
Loved the build your own bloody mary bar! The atmosphere was fun and enjoyable and the band was great!
The food was great! Service was great overall great value!
Excellent venue - great Southern menu & vibe. Great food & drink.Like how it’s away from the crowds but right in the area. Jacque
Service was indifferent at best. Fried chicken over cooked.
Would have rated it higher if it wasn’t for the SLOW service! Brunch was awesome! Would go back with a little extra time - waited 45 min to get our food !
Service was terrible. Food was ok but it was hard to enjoy when you’re completely ignored. I don’t recommend going when there’s no Red Sox game because it is not managed well at all.
Food was okay; went for brunch. Smallish menu options for brunch. Pan handle grits were hard to taste because the sausage overwhelmed the dish, turkey and sweet potato hash looked like opened face pot pie. Bloody mary’s were great and he make your own bar. Service was slow even though it wasn’t busy.
Ate on the small patio here before a Red Sox game so it was busy. Service was ok especially with the full restaurant. Food was not a good experience. One of the 4 meals came out being correct or edible. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and no dressing. Chicken was good but salad was covered in buttermilk dressing so I did not eat it. Our friends ordered the scallops with no rice and a side of asparagus. One came out with rice and no asparagus, other order came out correct but had a hair in it so was not edible. They kindly brought out a side of shrimp so our friend put that over her side salad and that ended up being ok. My husband said his sandwich was good. They apologized for the hair and took both the scallops (that was sent back) and side of shrimp off the bill. Told them I ordered a salad with no dressing and only said sorry and we did not have time to send it back and get a new one by the time the waitress came back to check on us. I think if it wasn’t so busy it might have been a better experience but they are always busy on Sox games so should be use to this. Not sure I would try dinner there again, might try brunch hoping for a better experience.
The boar was dry. For the money, it's did have been done right. I looked the atmosphere though. And the wait staff was great.
Excellent place to go! Got a little crowded when red Sox game ended but the food & service was incredible
This is the place to go if you want great country music in Boston! Okay, so I'm not expert, but the band and singer were top notch and sounded amazing. We went for a group dinner on a Saturday night, when no Boston teams were in town (no Sox, no Bruins) so it wasn't packed for dinner. Food was good, drink selection sweet for southern style beverages, and service was great. By 10pm they were clearing the meal tables to make room for a crowd to enjoy the music, standing room. There wasn't much line dancing, more just a crowd standing, bopping and enjoying the music.
Waitress did not but in our food order, after the manager noticed we had been seated for 40 mins without food. He came over and did a great job fixing the issue as soon as he could, but even the order came out wrong and we didn't say anything. It was loud and really not to busy. Just s terrible waitress and a Great manager.
I love the atmosphere at Loretta’s! Our server was great as well as the food
Great place after the game! Food was really good and service fantastic!
Birthday! So fun!
Everything we ordered was delicious and it was the perfect spot to grab some grub before a red sox's game.
Food was very good. It was very loud in there and the service was slow, but the slow service may have been because it was a very busy a game day. Our server was very nice and helpful.
Great food, drinks and service.
Bluegrass band made the brunch even better.
Southern Hospitality in old New England! Fantastic Fried Chicken, wonder-full bar, great beers and the Best Music!
Always a great experience
Let’s face it, salads at most places are meh at best— overpriced heads of lettuce that barely comprise an appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the salads at @lorettaslastcall are different, particularly the arugula salad with cheddar, bacon, and pecans. Before the Red Sox game I ordered a salad, but I was expecting something dinky and barely palatable, like most bar and restaurant ensaladas. The arugula salad was a meal in itself, not horribly overpriced, and very delicious. So good we came here the next day before the game again! I had the small Cobb salad with cheddar instead of blue cheese— so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it! My only complaints are that the tables are too close together (it’s easy to knock things over!) and the live music later on makes conversation impossible (but if you go early you can hear each other as long as you talk loud).
A great pre-game brunch, good food, good music and right at Fenway Park.
Loretta's was the perfect place for our group of six to grab a few bites to eat and get our night started. I've been here plenty of times, but this was the first time officially making the reservation for an actual sit-down dinner. They were super accommodating and Frank + the rest of the staff did a great job taking care of us while navigating the post-Sox madness. Understand that this is a more casual place and - especially on game days - endures a lot of Fenway spillover so if you're looking for a more intimate dinner, either go on an off night or try anywhere else. If you're looking to have a good time and kick back with other people with the same mindset, this is your place.
Great casual dining. Awesome Southern cuisine. Very tasty and not over priced. One of the best values in Boston! Good drink selection as well. Try the Catfish Sliders!
Fun place with great food... perfect before a game!
