CHICKEN. AND. WAFFLES. I saw Loretta’s Last Call on Phantom Gourmet while someone was scrolling through the channels at a mechanics office. I only saw a flash of what looked like the best chicken and waffles ever and then heard they were available at Loretta’s Last Call in Boston. Before I knew it the channel was changed but I knew I had to try. Two days later I went into Boston to see a show at House of Blues right down the road and knew we had to stop by LLC beforehand for a drink and some dinner. I’m so glad I did. We split two chicken and waffles dishes between the four of us and we were all stuffed, even my brother. Between the music, fast and friendly service, food and drinks, it was a great time. We were seated quickly too. Only slight downside was the (live) music was a little too loud, I’m all for music but it became a bit of a joke that we had to scream to hear each other across the table because it was so loud. Even then, it’s probaby at a good volume for when its a rowdier time of night. We were there around 7:30 so not too crowded or late. Regardless of that very small critique, I highly recommend Loretta’s to anyone in town.
Food was great and loved the line dancing lessons! Super fun!
It was excessively loud. We were there for lunch, it wasn’t crowded at all and the music was blaring. When a table of 4 has to scream to the person sitting right next to them to talk, that is unnecessary.
Drinks were just ok, margarita was too sweet, didn't taste of fresh ingredients. Food was not great, almost everything is fried, the Shrimp Po Boy sandwich was very dry. Bean dip appetizer wasn't great either. Overall it's a nice space, service was decent, vibrant bar scene - however due to the low quality of the drinks and the fact that our group disliked most of the food, I will not be going back anytime soon.
We were there before a Red Sox. It all worked perfectly... good drinks service. A big shout out to the manager Sean who was exceptional!!
Great waitress. She was on top of things. Appetizers overpriced for the amount of food you get. Small portions except for chicken wings. Liked the selection of apps and entrees. Great selection of beers and cocktails as well.
Only downside was it was one of the hotter days and air conditioning was sub par
Great brunch before Red Sox game on Sunday. Good food, live music.
Enjoyed our visit to Loretta’s before a concert. Cool vibe! Definitely recommend making a reservation as this place was very busy! We got seated right away. Even though they were slammed with patrons, the service was good. We stuck with drinks and apps, and shared a dessert. Everything was great! The only charged an extra dollar up charge for a non well bourbon. Love the shoe fly punch!
Our apps were fried green tomatoes, steak bisquits and hot chicken bites. All delicious but the steak bisquits was my favorite of the 3. Would have preferred one more biscuit as they were really tiny, like micro slide size. Tomatoes breading was all corn meal and the tomatoes were sliced too thin. The bourbon pecan pie cheesecake is sweet but savory. Two thumbs up! Definitely check this place out!
Food was good and quick.
Our waitress Fanny did an amazing xcellent job!!!
It was the same night as a concert so while very criwded our reservations were quickly handled. Also they accomodated 2 dieatry restrictions: celiac and lactose intolerance without any issues. Food was perfect for what our evening plans were and definitely reasonably priced!
This was our first time here. The food was delicious and the beer was cold. There was a singer and he was great! Overall a great place.
It was my girlfriend and I’s first time at Loretta’s. We went for a date night. Both our waitress and the manager made it a special dinner for us. They were friendly and accommodating, truly raising the bar. They supplied us with Jell-O shots and dessert on the house just to give our date a little something extra. The service left us with the biggest smiles. The food was wonderful. Our favorites were the fried pickles and the chicken and waffles. The cocktails were also tasty and a good price.
Great food and atmosphere. Music was a bit loud that early in the night, couldn't talk to most people at the table because we couldn't hear each other. Other than that, it was great!
Great food and drinks for a group; went to catch up with college friends over drinks and take in a concert. Service was spectacular, wait staff was extremely attentive. Best value is the food for four; plenty of food that three college guys could not even finish. Drinks were slightly pricey ($10) for the area; however, they were definitely worth the value! Downsides: Ensure you get a spot close to the stage if you would like to see any shows; audio was not able to be understood outside of 10ft from the speakers; wait staff required nearly an hour to transform small dining room for show - leading to a slight push to finish dinner so our table could be removed.
Great place to grab dinner before a Sox game, family friendly and excellent service
The pickle party was spectacular!
Disappointed with meal. Ordered the truck stop which was worth the price with the amount of food that was on my plate, however they put the maple syrup and butter on top of the chicken which was on top of the waffle. Would of rather had the chicken to the side with butter and maple syrup on the waffle.
The live country music was loud and annoying for a Sunday Brunch atmosphere
We went to Loretta's for dinner and live music for a bachelorette party. The bride loves country music, so it was so fun to be able to see some in Boston, and the food was great!
Lots of good fried food. Really busy before a game. Very loud inside, but good live music.
Service was not that great. If you are looking for a very loud place to go, this is your place. We were giving the check before we finished eating. ( 5 minutes after getting our entrees) the food was just okay and my chicken and waffles was drenched in BBQ and the chicken was tough and boneless 😕
Just awesome! We came here for brunch on Father’s Day. Really great food, great service and an awesome bluegrass band. Great drinks too. Try the strawberry basil lemonade moonshine. Amazing! Get there early game days. They are always packed.
Loretta's was a great choice prior to the Zac Brown concert. Great band! Service and food were awesome as always.
This place is always a great place to go. Food is very good and creative drinks.
Good spot but don’t go after a Sox game it fills up quick. Good value for the area.
Our family of 7 had lunch before a 4:00 Red Sox game. It was perfect! The most delicious comfort food and drinks!! ...and live music at 12:30 in the afternoon!! Literally walked across the street to our gate at Fenway Park. It was perfect!
Enjoyed the food. Great location. Very loud.
Positives - very nice staff. Hosts were great. Bartenders were great as well.
Negatives - I really wanted to like this place. I really did. But, the food was so salty it wasn’t edible. The place wasn’t clean either. The bar was sticky and grimy. The bathrooms CLEARLY aren’t cleaned regularly. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least.
My boyfriend works late hours so we couldn’t do dinner, but I wanted to go to Loretta’s to check it out. It was a quiet weekday lunch, but the staff was attentive and even gave as a free special birthday dessert. We were so full, but the food was so good. I will definitely be going there to check out live acts.
Slow service apparently due to a new cook but the manager made it right by comping some of our food for the long wait. Food was pretty good so will try again just maybe not before a Red Sox game when it was busy
One of my favorite places to go before or after a game or concert at Fenway. There's just not enough places in Boston that serve a proper southern meal- this place doesn't disappoint! A taste of Nashville close to home, with an excellent drink menu. Great for groups and casual diners of all ages. Can't wait to go again!
Loretta's Last Call was a great place to have lunch. I had the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich. Although the sandwich was a little greasy, it was delicious and the portion size was enough for two meals. It comes with fries. The atmosphere is festive and lively and right down the block from Fenway Park. It was great!
Dirty. Noisy. Very underwhelming. Service was very slow. Hostess kept dragging tables past us on the concrete while we were eating.
Great place! A little too noisy but it was a baseball crowd night. Great margaritas! Food was great! Chicken & waffle good recommendation.
Great food although the service was a bit slow. Band was good but was a bit loud.
Delicious breakfast, great eggs, sausage gravy, and biscuits
Service was really slow. It took 30mins before our order was taken, and another 30mins before we received our food. The chicken and waffles was also really tough and slightly dry
Fantastic, Nashville-like atmosphere with great food and servers. Awesome drinks as well
Food was nothing to rave about. Service was friendly.
The food was amazing- smoked turkey with sweet potato hash and eggs as well as cheese grits and bacon candy. Our drinks were some moonshine concoction I don’t remember the name, but they were fruity and delicious! Service was fast and friendly. There was even a live band. All in all, a five-star experience!
