Nashville hot chicken with slaw on a sweet potato bun served w/ dirty rice
Chicken & Waffles
Classic fried chicken on a housemade waffle served w/ maple BBQ syrup & whipped butter
Classic Mac & Cheese
Southern fare served in a pleasant room with a live music stage. Draft beer list is limited to what you would expect to find near the ballpark; Sam Adams and Blue Moon were about as unique as it got. All drinks, including cocktails were served in plastic cups immediately changing the ambience of this place from a restaurant to a music venue that serves food on the side.
Bean dip app was very good. But I only chose It because it was one of the few non-fried items on the appetizer list and I had settled on fried chicken as my main. Fried chicken was done nicely. But I regretted ordering the "hot" version as it tasted like just a regular fried chicken smothered in tabasco. Brisket was, honestly, completely inedible, requiring a steak knife. We did not eat it and it really should be removed from the menu. Service was good, but overall I was disappointed with my experience here. I suppose Lorettas is catering to folks who are looking for a quick bite before a show or game and not for those planning a Saturday night dining experience.
The food was delicious. Chicken & waffles!!!
Food wasn’t very good at all. I wouldn’t recommend going for dinner here, but the drinks were great. Good spot to go if you want some music, good drinks, and some TVs to watch the game.
Went for brunch and the cocktails and meals were delicious. Fun spot.
Great spot for Brunch, the drinks were amazing and it wasn't over crowded. The drinks and food came out pretty fast too!
The music was great and the food is fabulous ! Dancing is the best place in Boston!
Took my friends who were visiting from out of town here for dinner and drinks, we had a great time. Would recommend.
I am a huge fan of Lorretta's. Our server worked very hard, but my guess is that liek many establishments, they are short staffed. Some patience required, but worth it!
Iconic place to go for brunch before a tour of Fenway Park. Portions were large. Chicken and waffles was pretty good, but not great. Waffle was good but the fried chicken was hammered and there wasn't enough of the jalapeno syrup for the size of the portion. Service was ok - new waitress who hadn't really been trained. Probably better for a drink pre or post a game than for the food.
The fried food was crispy, just a little too greasy. The
sauce that comes with the fish fry is tasty though, comes with fried pickles too, which is an added bonus. A little too much ham with the Brussels sprouts, but maybe some people like a lot of pork with them. Friendly service & good music.
Loretta’s always delivers and is my go to before a game. The one downside was the noise the level. The music was too loud and trying to speak with & hear people was near on impossible.
Still, the food was as awesome as always so I’ll be back.
Horrible fried chicken perhaps due to postpandemic issues. Greatest location in the world so will give a return try next year. Just don’t count on going for the food
We ate outdoors before a Sox game, and admittedly our server seemed very overburdened. We were seated right away, and while it took a while for someone to take our order, our food was served pretty quickly. BUT we couldn’t help but notice that the TWO tables who ordered right before us NEVER GOT SERVED!! One of them finally left, while the other apparently received a few beers to make up for it.
In any case, even though we got our food quickly, I had to get up from the table and go get someone’s attention for utensils, and one of us never got our drink, although it showed up on the bill (they took it off when we said something).
The food was pretty good (the traditional fried chicken was well prepared, but arrived at the table so hot that I had to let it sit for at least 10 minutes so I could pick it up!)
Overall, there’s a good, speedy Fenway-appropriate meal lurking here, but there’s also a sense that you’re playing roulette, and hoping for a winner.
Awesome fun place for all ages! We were there for line dancing - and felt comfortable even though we were pure beginners!
Good food, good service - but almost too loud to have a conversation with my friends over dinner.
Food was good, hostess was friendly and welcoming but it seemed strange to have our waiter with a poor attitude (worst I've ever encountered and I've been to hundreds of restaurants) actually training a future waitress. If I was his boss I would have fired him.
great location if going to a game or event at Fenway
Let me start by saying that your experience would likely be different if you didn’t go here on a Saturday night when the colleges are in session. We stopped for dinner after an afternoon Sox game. Shortly after we sat down at 7:30 it had turned into a night club with partying young people milling around right up against your table, which is butt high. This was the loudest place I’d ever been in. The waiters couldn’t hear you and you couldn’t hear each other.
The staff and food were very good, and I suspect if you went at any other time you’d have a very different experience. Do not go on a Saturday night!
Being the only table without an umbrella outside in the heat and sun beaming down made it miserable
ate outdoors before a Red Sox game; perfect spot. beer cold food delicious service great. One hiccup the waiter spilled ketchup on one in our party and response was lukewarm to getting her cleaned up.
It was very loud, too loud for me but I’m sure it was fine for others
Very salty. Wouldn't recommend for brunch but good for drinks.
Great pre-game spot!
Food was quite good. One dish came out wrong but we happily ate it. Service was satisfactory.
Service and food was great. Music was little to loud had to talk loud to hear one another.
Live music & last minute brunch reservations! Host and server were kind and attentive, responsive to menu questions, food was quick and good. BBQ pork Benedict was good and mulled blackberry mojito was great! Biscuit tasted fresh and eggs poached to perfection. Cilantro remoulade was a nice addition to the dish. Music was great. Very loud, would not recommend for a first date (hard to talk to each other) but great for my sisters 16th, and I imagine it’d be great for a lunch out with friends too! Got the merch shirt and would definitely go back!
Great meal before a Sox game
My dad was visiting me in Boston for the first time and I took him to Lorettas for Fathers Day. Kaitlyn was our server and we couldn’t have been any more satisfied with the food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend the brunch!
Went for brunch before a Red Sox game, food was very good and reasonable. Very busy on game days so need a reservation in advance
Great spot for dinner and drinks before a baseball game! Good food & cocktails. The patio is good for people watching too.
Breakfast food was ok, selections were limited and location was great since it was right next to Fenway Park.
Red Sox game graduation weekend
The food was great. I feared the southern dishes would be bland and greasy, but the fried chicken was great! Not too dry or greasy, with the right amount of crunch and flavor.
Great flavorful food, great drinks and great music playing! I love coming to Loretta’s before the Sox.
Service was off badly. Food was mediocre at best. Never offered a refill or asked if we needed anything else. Couldn't really tell who our server was.
Not returning. Terrible with food allergies. Took 15 minutes to get milk for coffee
Drinks were awful .. food was bland
LOOOVEEE the chicken and waffles. That spicy habanero drink tho whew
I go to college in Boston and my mom came to visit me for a weekend. I did some research on Boston's best brunch places and Loretta's was a highly recommended spot. My mom and I were greeted with a smile from the staff at the front. Our waitress was friendly and she checked up on up several times throughout our meal. The food was delicious. I definitely recommend this place!
Love the atmosphere. Want to go back to try more of the brunch menu. Looks like a versatile restaurant!
