Had the best experience last Friday night. The food was delicious and our server went above and beyond in providing the best service. All the staff are welcoming and provide excellent customer service. We had the deviled eggs appetizer, grilled Cesar salad, and fried chicken. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to going back

I was really excited about this restaurant. The menu sounded great and creative, but the food did not live up to the hype. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were amazing and after that it was a let down. I had the duck. If you are going to serve duck you need to know how to cook it, otherwise don’t bother. The duck fat was not rendered which resulted in a chewy fat cap and then my duck was almost raw in some spots. The sweet potato dumplings were weird and lacked crispness and the cauliflower rice was flavorless mush on the plate. We also ordered the pork chop which I don’t believe had any salt on it. Though cooked well, it was flavorless. Then we had the catfish. The greens were the best thing in the plate. The catfish was cut so thin, that there was barely any meat in the breading. So it ended up being just fried cornmeal that was dry. Truly horrible. It’s Oklahoma. Don’t serve fried catfish if you don’t know what you’re doing. Then for dessert, the banana pudding was okay. Nothing exceptional. It needed a sauce or something to make it special. We were also given a birthday dessert with a cornmeal cookie that was basically like hard tack. Cookies are not hard to bake….. The service was great and the atmosphere nice as well, but there needs to be improvements to the food.

Absolutely loved everything we ordered! I’m not a catfish fan in general, but I ordered it at the recommendation of our fantastic server. It was outstanding! Deviled eggs, chicken and dumplings, fired pie- everything was just fantastic! Oh, and an unexpected bonus, bottles of wine under a certain amount were half-priced. Make it a point to dine at the gem of a restaurant in OKC! We will most definitely be adding this to our rotation.

Fabulous food. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. So was the chicken and dumpling soup. And the angel food cake dessert was perfect. Great service and beautiful restaurant. Recommend 10 out of 10

Upon arrival, there were 2 people at the hostess stand who I told the time/name of the reservation. One said “we only have Bartop available right now”. This was confusing as I had made the reservation days beforehand and have never been sat at a bartop for a reservation unless specifically requested. But no big deal, so we went the bar. The bartender did his best to accommodate us but did seem busy. Unfortunately, some of the other guests at the bar, particularly one woman on the other side of my spouse, was very loud. We would have appreciated a more private table seeing as we had made a reservation beforehand and were trying to celebrate a personal milestone as a couple. OpenTable has a feature that allows restaurants to separate tables into types such as bartop, patio, main dining, etc. I think if Lorena took advantage of this feature it would be helpful. The other issue is that I was unaware that they only served brunch on Sunday afternoon. I didn’t see this information on their OpenTable or website before booking. In fact, their website currently only has lunch and dinner menus so that’s what I had assumed would be served when I booked. I overheard another customer being told they cannot deviate from the brunch menu so I don’t think we were not the only ones confused about that. Again no big deal but I was looking forward to ordering something I had seen on the lunch menu and was not in the mood for breakfast food so it was a bit disappointing. I understand Lorena is a new restaurant so I think there are a few kinks to work out with organization. Now the important part: the food. First, mimosas- generously portioned. Next, chicken and dumplings- great but needed a touch more salt. I had the Belgian waffle- so sweet but good overall. The bacon didn’t add much taste-wise/made the texture odd. My spouse had the chicken fried steak, which he said was one of the best he’s had. He liked the baked potato but found the addition of egg strange. Fair prices overall.

Our waitress Tamera was AMAZING!! She knew the menu inside and out and guided us through an outstanding dining experience. Food, wine, everything was perfect! Can’t wait to go back!
