L'Opera Ratings and Reviews
It was so nice to go to a restaurant with resonable wine prices and food prices. The wait staff was very attentive without be overbearing. They offer a half salad so we each had what we wanted. My friend had the house salad. I had the apple walnut salad. Both were chrisp and tasty. My friend had the filet which was over done. Waiter offered 2 different times to replace it. Even over done it was tasty. I had the spinach ravioli which were excellent. Brought us a free dessert to make up for the steak. It was a great evening and we will be returning.
L'Opera non delude mai. It never disappoints a diner but rather delivers a dinner to delight the palate.
It's pasta (aside from the gnocchi & penne) is made on the premises and it's freshness is all the talk in Firenze.
The experience dining here is as wonderful as dining al fresco in Florence.
We had their 3 course dinner special. The house salad was crisy and had a delicious prosecco vinaigutte dressing. My friend had the salmon which was moist and seasoned well. I had the veal scaloppine which could have been a little more tender, but the very flavorable. We ordered both desserts and shared. They were just the right amount and tasty also.
This was our first time at L'Opera and we only had pasta and a glass of wine. So, it is hard to give a comprehensive review. However, that may have been the best pasta I have ever had. By pasta, I mean the actual noodles. They make their own pasta. In this case it was fettucini. It could not have been more perfectly cooked. The dish, by the way, was made with various seafood. It was delicious, though maybe a tad to spicy. The next time I find myself in Long Beach, L'Opera is where I will go.
First time ever going and it was amazing. I always seen the nice cars parked in the front and never really went inside because I thought it was going to be very expensive when in actuality it was a decent price for great tasting and fulfilling food. Staff was great and made me feel welcomed. I will be back for sure nothing back to say about this place. 5 stars!!!
My wife and I go to L'Opera on Valentine's Day quite often. This time we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, they gave us a less than desirable table in the back. L'Opera is a special restaurant. Unfortunately, from our table, we could hear a band playing downstairs, music from the restaurant's loudspeaker system (background music), loud noises from the bar and, not often enough, the opera singer who traverses the restaurant but never came close to our table. The food was, once again, excellent.
My wife and I live in downtown Long Beach and L"Opera is one of our favorites. On this occasion my niece was in town for a medical conference and wanted go to dinner. I selected L'Opera as I knew it would not disappoint. We had a great meal with excellent service.
There aren't that many restaurants in the Long Beach/South Bay area that I would call "fine dining," but L'Opera is one. It was our first time at the restaurant and our group of six was very impressed by the environment and service. The menu had a lot of options and we liked the dishes that we tried. We also had a couple folks try the prix-fixe menu and they were happy with what they had. We'll definitely be back.
Absolutely fabulous! We are transplants from Jersey, so this was a nice find in So-Cal! We were on a conference, and my husband and I stumbled upon L'Opera by chance. Looked at the menu, and peaked inside...beautiful decor and felt like home with Sinatra playing and the waiters in aprons...just like a good Jersey Italian restaurant!
We spent a week in Long Beach and I dined at L'Opera 4 times. It was great and we kept coming back because there were more things on the menu we wanted to try. I was there with a friend for lunch, a romantic dinner with my husband, and a couple times with a group--every time it was wonderful.
White table cloths, but not stuffy. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful yet friendly and even funny. There were 6 of us and EVERYONE raved about their food. The Caprese salad was fresh, the Tartare Mediterannea was beautiful and flavorful. I ordered the Butternut squash ravioli and it was one of the best meals I had in Long Beach. Great wine list, especially if money is not an issue. Great for small groups or a date night.
The food and service are Excellent!!! We were first timers at L'Opera, having read the reviews online--we were not disappointed.
The ambience is romantic yet welcoming to adults with children. We all had a memorable experience and will go back again!!
The wine list and dinner menus are incredible--with Many, many tasty choices!! Service at our table and at the bar were flawless and personable.
