Celebrating over 35 years of award winning classic & modern Italian cuisine! Owner Terry Antonelli believes in a warm and elegant approach to fine dining. Chef Walter Cotta shops at local farmer's and produce markets throughout the week to insure the best quality ingredients. Our pastas, raviolis, bread, sauces and desserts are homemade. His menu also includes a number of vegan and gluten free items that are sure to please all palates. For dinner or a private event, L'Opera is a must!

Elegant atmosphere, attentive, professional service and creative cuisine. Shared a mushroom gnudi pasta and lamb chops main. Barely room for an exquisite pana cotta. Extensive wine list at all price levels, lots of interesting Italian selections. Quiet to moderate noise level good for dates and business diners.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great in a historic older building. Our waiter was the best. He paid attention to detail and we were well taken care of. He was knowledgeable, made suggestions off the menu and daily specials, refilled drinks, and made sure my gluten free needs were met. He was very polite and delivered service with a smile and some Italian words.

The food is just magical! Everything tastes perfect! Order something with truffle oil and it will make your visit worth while. Try the fillet mignon too! 😋 Service is awesome! Gonna be back for sure! 👌🏼

The LOpera is an pure luxury dining experience in Long Beach. If you have never been to an Opera house your are in for a beautiful evening I recommend the entire menu. And you never know what celebrity you might encounter there🙂

Server Roberto was fantastic. Server Felix was a little too busy so it took 15 minutes of wait before we can order. And he did not scrape the crumbs off the table like your servers normally do. He did deliver the food in time so the wait wasn’t too bad for that.

I enjoyed a L'opera Gem salad, Frutti di mare pasta dish and a tiranisu - all were excellent dishes. My 3 friends also enjoyed a variety of other dishes. Some live entertainment in the background aids in creating a very pleasant dining experience. A couple of bottles of Rombauer Chardonnay didn't hurt either! Reservations recommended, especially on weekends.

Came back twice becoz it was so good the first time. However, disappointed that the second time, the complimentary bruschetta appetizer was only one piece when the evening before, it was one full order of bruschetta. $14 for a two pieces of bruschetta was way too expensive as written on my receipt. Although it was comped, to know that two pieces would cost $14 is outrageous.

We enjoyed our 2nd evening at L’Opera in a week. What stands out is the the service which is very attentive! The food is excellent and the table thoroughly enjoyed every item. I was amazed at the extensive wine list. The live entertainment was an excellent touch. 5-stars all around!

We enjoyed the meal, but the atmosphere wasn’t exactly what was expected. The restaurant had a sour/funky smell when we walked in.
